Meh this is BS but its obviously Modways way of making the cube deal even sweeter to the hardcores. Its pathetic and sad. And yes, very much a slap in the face.

It's kind of like what they did with MK Trilogy. On the Playstation version, you could play as Shao Kahn, Goro, Motaro or Kintaro easily. But with the n64, I believe you needed a cheat code or something to that affect. Either way, it sucks!

I really don't give a damn about it. I'm glad they at least came up with original characters for the compensation of online play.

Hey Midway are just trying to make as much money as they can off the Gamecube release by making them feel special since they are pissed they dont have online mode and had a longer wait then anyone. It's called strategic marketing. Your whinging and complaining won't change things...

I think Shao Khan and Goro being in this game is excellent. I have PS2 and GC and I do not play online, so better for me. I think it's funny how people will completely whine and cry over something like this. If you don't like it, do what I did, buy both systems. I bought GC for my daughter and ended up falling in love MKDA when I got it as a gift. Then I heard MKD was not coming out for GC so I bought a PS2 for myself and stopped hogging the GC from my kid, LOL. Now, I'll have the best of both worlds. Anyways, maybe you people should just accept that life is not fair and crying does not get you what you want, and if it did in the past, well, welcome to reality.

Im not trying to start a system war but, i hate it when stupid people make remarks about stuff they dont understand. Gamecube is 2x as strong in almost every way, then PS2. It even beats X-box in a few areas as well, like compression, speed and other tech areas. You people act like the whole world owns x-box and PS2's and only a small % own GC. The GC has about the same if not more users than xbox world wide. The only reason games dont sell as well is because most people own 2 systems and choose the more popular system. Soul Cailber 2 sold way more on GC than any other system.. y? cause of its xtra character. Thats what midway is trying to do. I bet GC mk6 will sell half a million to a million cause of the add of these characters. Midway and boon are in these for the money as every game company is. You sell your product the best that u can which as must of your resources as you can. And reminber its only a game, and be happy with what u got. Coz if its was the ps2 yowners that got all the extra's you be so happy and making fun of everyone else. I dont see GC owners doing that. Ummm? and people call it a "kiddy system"..

i would say in a way it fair concidering GC don't have online, i would hope there would be online updates for the ps and the box too, just so we can get these characters. BUT THAT IS ONE BIG HOPE!

Man this is F***** up that they bringing those 2 characters to GC. Like I said on the other page they should do it like
Playstation= Kintaro, Shinnok
X Box= Motaro, MK 2 Shang Tsung
GC= Goro, Shao Kahn

Anything that would have been added to compensate would have resulted in people complaining about being cheated, unless it was Cage or something, in which case who would give a damn anyway? That would hardly be making up for online play.
It's just a videogame, and they're essentially just skins. They probably have rehashed moves like everybody else, and a couple of fatalities, which you'd get bored of after watching a half a dozen times anyway. It's really not that much of a big deal compared to online play, which I hear has added a lot of replay value for a lot of people.

You know, after hearing "Boo HOO get over it, it's not a big deal", he's right. I know I would get bored of playing Goro and Shao Kahn after a little while N E way. And besides, back in 1996 on Mortal Kombat Trilogy, I had the Playstation and we got to play with not 2 but 4 bossess. Nintendo 64 got to only play with the regulars so I'm not sweatin' it. Besides, MKD is still fun without them on the game. Everyone was all good with the game until they found out that GC was gettin' more than we were.

I agree with the ppl that said they don't care. If the creators wanted to, they could put only 5 characters in the game. But they choose not too. They put 24 characters which is plenty. There is no way yer gonna change their minds. A few more players for the gc version, that's fine.I know, I shouldn't be saying this because I have a gc, but there's no way I'm gonna buy the game for another system AGAIN just for a few characters.So, be grateful that we get 24.

No it bothers me a bit but I bet Kahn is just a 3d version of his old skool design and moves.....so its nothing new or worse he is a new model most likely using heaps of moves from other mkd fighters eg: Nightwolfs shoulder slam so its nothing special......

There no way anyones gonna win this. had they left the game the same (minus the online play) all GC owners would be complaining then. either way some win some loose. Some people dont care about online play and own PS2 so they feeled screwed. some people own game cube and DO care about online play. they too feel screwed. I feel for eveyone but i think it is a good thing that if u realy realy realy consider yourself a diehard MK fan that it;s a good thing GC is a very inexpensive system. thus you may be able to pick one up if you REALY REALY REALY want the new version od MKD.
On a personal note, I came into a good chunk of change a few years back and a GC was one of many items that made it's way into my cart. im kinda glad it did now. for me Online play dosent mean anything and if i didnt have a GC i too would be a complainer so dont think im singlesing anyone out cuase im not. regardless if i hadent had the GC i would be getting one soon now just for MKD.
