You realize that even m2dave, the best Dairou online acknowledges that BRC is top of the top tier?
And next point, why blame BRC players for working with the tools given to them? You should blame Midway for making a craptacular game yet again, and you should demand good gameplay for the next one.

Yes, I agree with what you're saying. Sure, Noob-Smoke and Dairou do have some chance against Bo' Rai Cho, but Bo' Rai Cho is still the best in terms of gameplay, especially in the GC version with that whole throwing glitch infinite thingamagig which is extremely disgusting.
If Bo Rai Cho is the best, why so many players online are scared to use him or dont bother to use him ? and just for the record its not because they are stupid. They just are not cheap like you are. Bo can only win because of hes stick stance and hes grab wich is a very good combo starter, wich can exceed 50 percent damage. Not much strategy is needed to play has Bo wich for me is a boring character, i would give him one star out of five. Only people without passion and brains use him. If you want a great fighter wich is fun to use take kenshi or sub.

Well, that's the thing. People like HDTran and Konqrr are absolutely right about MKD's fighting system being made in a way that cheapness is what's needed to win at the highest levels of play instead of skill and that's why Bo' Rai Cho is the best. Sub-Zero on the other hand is low on the tier list, because he requires skill and hard work to win. So at the end of the day, you can't really blame me since I'm not the one who worked on MKD. And besides, I don't really even use Bo' Rai Cho that much anyway.

Actually,BRC is one of the most used characters online. The only reason people don't use him is because they can win with their mid-tier or top-tier characters as well.Keep picking Dairou online and then you'll see how many Bo players you will have to face.
Bo is simply the best (even if Dairou were to beat him in a series).Bo has still the easiest time against the rest of the cast unlike Dairou. However,if you're an excellent Dairou player, you should be able to to take out the majority of Bo players easily online.

I, for one, hate Bo Rai Cho. Cheap players have no respect in my book, unless you cornered. His moves are weak and his overall look and feel looks and plays like Beavis and Butthead, not MK (The man farts to get up people....)
If you use top tier characters you're a bad player, plain and simple, because the best players only use low tier characters. And play with one hand. If you use two hands then that just means you're not good at the game, and the only way you can win is by resorting to cheap two-handed tactics.
The very best also play upsidedown. Unless you play upsidedown, you're not playing true high level MKD.
Now if you'll excuse me, i'm off to go play Kenshi and get my ass kicked all over the show by Bo, because losing to people who are using better characters than me not only doesn't count as a loss, it makes me a good player for losing, and them a bad player for winning.
*Beats head against wall*
Have a fun MK7 everybody.

acctually dairou is the best in the game. he has a free ts everytime he hits you, has like 3 infs so forth and so on. not to mention you have to keep jumping or eat a ts into 11f+3 into a free ts ect. without a doubt dairou is the best in the game.

I barely played Bo'RaiCho in MKDA, but in MKD I began to like him.
1st. Instead of the stereotypical old and wise master, we got a fat and drunk master.... +1 for originality
2nd. His looks and outfit sucks in MKDA, but in MKD, his first outfit and beard made him look WAY better imo....
3rd. He's got EVERY kind of moves ! (except a projectile, but I guess his stomp makes up for that)
4th. Storywise he got involved with characters in a smart way: teacher of Liu Kang, Kung Lao and Kitana. Next he developed a kinda uncle/niece relationship with LiMei. Shujinko's betrayed mentor (he never gave him back his medallion!). The fact he comes from Outworld also makes sens to why he's powerful but couldn't compete in MK without helping Kahn.
Imo Bo'RaiCho is a cool secondary character. I would never see him as near as cool as Raiden, Kitana, Reptile, Ermac or Shao Kahn, but he's good nonetheless.

If HO Rai Cho is the best, why isn't there a strategy/character guide for him in the sticky?

Not when it comes to any fighting game, really. Tier lists exist for a reason. Bo 'Rai Cho, played at his maximum potential, will win the majority of the time against every other character when played at their maximum potential. Doesn't mean it's impossible for Bo to lose to Kira, it just means that it's highly unlikely.

Yeah, I understand where you're coming from. I'm just saying that with MKD at least, you know....

From the sound of some the replies that state, "Bo Rai Cho is not that good", it's obvious that you guys do not play this game online or with other players at all. Play the game online and you will see how rediculously easy Bo will defeat you with just 2 moves (F+3 then grab, optional O.T.G. combo may follow). Guess wrong once and you are in trouble, he will combo you after you have been thrown while you are still on the ground and relieve you of 65% or more of your life bar. No other character can win as easily as Bo Rai Cho.........no one. no i dont think so. but his fatality is cool. and he is okay but not all that good.
Peace
