Is Kintaro Goros son?

Why doesn't Gorbak get of his lazy but and fight himself? We have never seen Gorbak in a MK game, and personally would like to see him.

to Kano_rulz: nah, I think Goro banged Tony the Tiger from the Frosted Flakes commercial (not the member of course
)
Anyway, yeah, there was never anything mentioned saying that Kintaro is Goro's son. They probably are cousins or something. If not, well, they are just two Shokan warriors who are both a pain in the ass to fight.

MK The Journey Begins is not Midways work. It was made to tie in with the first movie more than the games, and is shit anyway. This also means Goro does not have a brother named Duroc.
In John Tobias's MK2 comic, we were actually shown what King Gorbak does look like. He looks like Goro, but with long grey hair and a beard. He also wore more clothing than his son, with a red cloak, and carried an axe.
You can find this, and Tobias's MK1 comic at this site.

i also want to know

Goro is the Shokan prince who with the aid of Shang Tsung became Outworld's champion in Mortal Kombat. Shao Kahn was most pleased with Goro in his 9 consecutive title defenses against the mortals of Earthrealm.
In the 10th Mortal Kombat tournament since Kung Lao's defeat long ago, Goro was defeated by Liu Kang and soon after the tournament Goro had vanished. I suspected that Goro had sulked himself in a depression over his defeat to a mortal. Shang Tsung was responsible for Goro's death and was to be executed if not for his cunning ways and Shao Kahn's manipulative and cruel personality. I think that Shao Kahn let the Shokan believe they were in his favor while he secretly forged an alliance with the Centaurians behind their back so that he would have more control over Outworld.
In honor of the Shokan as repayment for the loss of Goro, Shao Kahn offered a position of high power in his empire for a chosen Shokan warrior, and that warrior would get his revenge on the warriors responsible for Goro's death at the Mortal Kombat tournament. The Shokan could not refuse, for one it offered representation of their race into political affairs in Outworld and it gave them a sense of honor that one of their own would be part of the highest set of power distributed in Outworld.
Kintaro was the warrior chosen because I believe he was the strongest Shokan in Kuatan. Shao Kahn I bet was impressed with the anger that boweled deep inside of Kintaro and thought he would suit well against the destruction of Earthrealm's warriors that Shang Tsung would bait out into Outworld.
Kintaro is not Goro's son, Kintaro is a warrior under the Shokan race and was a sworn follower to the kingdom of Kuatan, and also the emperor of Outworld Shao Kahn.

I don't think Kintaro is Goro's son. Too many ppl have presented evidence to the contrary. I read/heard that Kintaro was both Goro's brother, and/or his father. I believe that he has no relation to Goro, and is just his successor.
