wow i went to bed last night and this only had 3 replies lol

Here is why I think its Shao Kahn:

1) Look at the straps over his body,just like Kahn in MK2 - MK3

2) in the middle of the straps is the Skull he also he had

2) he has that helmet with the famous skull on it

3) leg and arm bracer's are very much Kahn's

4) the character is a white dood showing torso, legs and arms off so its not Dariius

5) he easily could be a super unlockable for the game

6) Boon said himself he wanted to bring back old 2D characters and bring them into the 3D realm of MK

7) the appearence of Kahn would fit into Sindel, DK, Kitana, DA's and Raiden's story very easily

8) he has a big fan base and so i wouldnt be surprised if he was super unlockable and put into the game for that "deception".. im mean c'mon even Bo Rai Cho has come back.

My deducutions... I hope ive spotted Shao Kahn in the game and my life now is complete.

I know I'm probably goin gto get flamed here too, but maybe that guy we all think is "Smoke" is actually Shao Kahn? I mean he could have a new costume, or he could be fading from the realm. Smoke could be in the game using the fusion idea, but the guy we all thought was seperate could be new Shao Kahn.

Could be! It's very hard to tell who it could be there are so many suspects.

So this is what i saw:
1.White - he`s wearing a hat like Hsu Hao (i can`t see the helmet)
2.Red - the bucket on his torso is to small for Shao Kahn`s but fix like nothing to Hsu Hao empty Heart implant
3.Green - his belt is the same as Fujin`s :-|
4.Blue - armband just like Fujin`s.
now i see his white hair if in this deception pic he`s looking right the white thing say it`s all.

i think its and alternate for hotaru.. i heard in 1 of the videos,ed boon saying there will be 3 costumes.. the 1st and alt then a ultimate costume..

im hoping it is shao kahn,but im just not sure if thats him... right now i say its hotaru??

To me it looks close to Shoa Kahn ,but he appears to be wearing reddish...pants? I see the skull belt on his chest ,and he does appear to have the helmet. A clearer pic would help.

Well as far as im concerned it looks like Kahn. Just one thing bothering me really is that looks like that guy is wearing pants(not the best of pics) and anyone playing mortal kombat for ages would know Kahns not really a pants person.

Hhhmmmmm, im going to say Shao Kahn at this point.

if Shao Kahn is in the game,they wouldnt just give him palette swap alt costumes.theyd have to make them different.or at least one of them.

my guess is that it is Kahn in an alt costume.

I hope this is Shao Kahn, and that he will have his own fighting styles and fatalities... Maybe I dream too much... Or maybe the deception is his death in MKDA...Or just a part of the deception...

Reiko - he has trousers, and kahn never wears trousers, and there was the whole kahn/reiko thing at mk4

Its Kahn.. remember he does not have to be a big guy anymore, he was weakened by the fight with the DA.

Great observations man, but you forgot to mention the three spikes on the character's kneepad, which adds further evidence that this may be a pic of Kahn.
