You definetely need to edit this post and get rid of the link to the scan before you get into some trouble with the mods. The don't like scans being posted very much.

Idk if I'm the only one who see's this but if you look closely you can see white on his face half way down then some flesh. Now skabs all skeloton Im sure. Also I heard from sources that it's likely Kahn but could be ERMAC's 3rd !!!! I hope not lol.

Its funny has hell that history seems to be repeating itself. At the time I wasn't a MKO forum member, but I remember that in MK: DA forum pre MK: DA release. One of the 1st few pics involed a character named Kahn( Hsu Hao).Tons of people thought it was Kahn.Yet again MK: Deception beholds a screen from it with someone looking like Kahn so to speak.

This isq definitively Skab alt... Look is left arm : he has a sleeve and the pants looks like in the puzzle mode...

I agree with other people that think Shao Kahn is Skab.

Here's my theory on if Shao Kahn is in the game or not.

Let's look at the games to get this theory.

Now, as we all know, Shao Kahn has been the reigning ruler of Outworld ever since he killed Jerrod. He is also the ruler of the tournament's champions.

Enter Liu Kang. He defeats Shao Kahn's Champions in the tournaments, and then the mighty emperor himself.

In Deadly Alliance, It took both the combined mights of Shang Tsung and Quan Chi to defeat and kill both warriors.

If Quan Chi's ending is any indication of how souls work, then we can assume that a soul can inhabit a soulless body.

Now, since it never said that Shao Kahn's soul was used to power the Dragon King's army, it can be assumed that his soul is still out there, looking for a new body. And there's one right there.

That of his greatest foe.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of Khan. He's always been a favorite of mine. That said, I haven't seen the pic in the actual gamepro magazine. I have seen godawful scans and blowups of it, and neither of which give me even the slightest indication of what I'm looking at. I see black pants with a red line on them, which could mean that this person is either Liu Kang or Jax circa MK2. Moving up, the guy has a belt across his chest, suggesting that he could indeed by Shao Khan...Or Kano, or Hsu Hao. In one of the scans, his skin looked a little darker, so he could be, as previously said, Jax...Or Darrius. Now, some people talk about the features of the guys head, well, I can't make out anything above his neck, so I really can't say.

Honestly, I'm not entirely unconvinced that some people are just seeing what they want to see in that picture. I'm surprised that no one has come out and said that it's obviously Kitana or Sonya for that matter. Rain, perhaps? He's practically been declared a super hidden character in some other threads even though no MK person has come out in any interviews at any time and said that Rain will be playable in any way, shape, or form.

That said....I REEEEEEEALLY hope it's Khan!!!

My idea of Kahn's story basically had Kahn's soul fly into a lifeless Tanya's body. This would allow for some interesting deception on Kahn's part. Surelly Earthrealm would not trust the Edenian again, but I'm sure Quan Chi might.

This roaming soul idea also allows the rotting body of Havik to become inhabited. Maybe Kahn might use Darrius to gain access to the Orderealm?

Fact is we will never know until we get some more info from midway or wait till deception is out. either way we all gonna think our own thing. What if Skab is kahn? and skab stands for Shao Kahn After Beaten? And one outfit is before beaten and one after making the gamepro pic a alternate for skab???lol nah not likely but still we wait and see huh.

Skab = Shao Kahn is not inevitably a joke...

We could imagine that Shao Kahn face was deformed by Quan Chi and Shang Tsung attack (or maybe it's his true face?), that he was considered as dead by the DA... for reasons which we don't still know, he would have been able to arrive in Chaosrealm (or is this Orderrealm? I don't know anymore where from is Darrius) with having losing his memory, will have been discovered by Darrius, and knowing nothing more of his own past, Kahn/Skab would fight in the side of Darrius... (( Or on the contrary, Kahn remembers everything, but manipulates Darrius to return to Outwolrd... Skab looks like too much Shao Kahn so that it's only a pure coincidence...)


Yes, I know, it's a little bit vague, but I'm not endowed to invent plots, I just formulate a general idea on that could be Skab story... :/

Shao Kahn is huge. "Skab" is normal-sized. I think he's either Havik or Onaga (yes, I realize this makes him a *gasp* new character). The person in the pic is "Skab"s alternate costume. When Jax007 pointed it out, I couldn't believe I had missed it the whole time.

The magazine has been out since the 2nd week of August I think, maybe even the first. All I know is that I got my the 2nd week.

Also, it's Scab. I see some people didn't see my image I posted even though it's the biggest damn pic in the thread. Look a bti harder people.

Subscriptions always come quicker then newstand and the long you have a subscription you still could get it even sooner then a new subscription.

And I'm still waiting for my next issue of PSM and Game Informer... the last PSm said they will have info on the big titles.

I'm going to say it's Skab, but he does have that chest armor thing and the armor on his legs. It could be Kahn. It is a very slim chance that it's Kahn but I can only hope.

is the pic of sindel hitting that guy on the page with sub-zero and quan-chi pics the same guy on the last page cuase if so then it is obvious that there is no cape
