Hell no!!! It's not even a real MK game to me.. The fatalitys are now toned down, it's T rated, It's not even hlaf violent as the ancient ones.. i will buy the game but it's definately not going the best MK game to me

I pray to Jesus Christ my Lord that it will be, because I just pre-ordered the Kollecter's Edtion (that's $70+ with tax). But is it likely it will be? No. Just because MK2 & MKD will be tough to beat, even more so with this 'Teen' rating.

In my personal opinion yeah. This will be the best MK ever made. As it provide a new idea by fighting against different fighters and the developers enhanced the game play a lot. We could see the new environment that the players able to see and such as the camera is above the players when they are going down and the great fatalities the fighers could perform.

From a gameplay perspective, it has the potential to be the best 3D incarnation, but if you care about arbitrary mindless cotton candy gore, prepare to be disappointed.

There might not be an exaggerated amount of gore...but there still is a decent amount of it.

Is this going to be the WORST MK game ever ? Yes. Its pretty hard to top MK Special Forces, but this game will suck leaps and bounds over it.

Its alright though guys, my treatment for the next mk game is almost done. So if I can just figure out a way to get Ed Boon and or Midway to read it, I can promise you it will be the BEST MK game ever, and will bring the game back to its glory days. And by the way , I am DEAD FUCKING SERIOUS. I have been working on this treatment since about 6 months before Armageddon was released, and its amazing if I say so myself.

I'll post it when its done, and then maybe you guys can help me figure out how to make it a reality.

For me the best one was MK Deadly Alliance. I loved the game, I loved Kung Lao the most in that game, and I loved the history of MK video included in the Kontent section.

By what has been seen, it will be the best 3D MK in terms of gameplay, if not overall. *Nostalgia makes games that far back hard to judge in proper terms, factoring age and all* Graphically, its definitely the best. Story-wise, we can't judge, as so little is known. Roster-wise, its excellent. They have iconic choices on both sides. Who cares if, for one game, the gore is toned down, if it means we finally get a good fighting engine that is very fun to play with?

Toasty isn't a real MK fatality? Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Sonya, Shang Tsung, Liu Kang, Jax, Kitana, Raiden, Kano, Baraka, and Shao Kahn aren't real MK characters? So it has less fanservice. The series needed core gameplay improvement more than it needed the usual fanservice fest. Its got real MK characters, stages, some fatalities, and an interesting story mode (Previous ones were konquest, now we have the cutscene focused one), an Arcade Mode with a ladder style (I recall hearing that). What comes off as not MK? So its a whatif, and a crossover. Other than that, it's good.

It does look to be the best 3D iteration of the series so far in terms of gameplay. We'll actually have to see when the game comes out in order for us to determine its playability at a high end competitive level, and whether or not we'll actually get a community for it.

Mewzard, obviousely the arcade mode is going to have a ladder system. It just goes along with a fighting game. But I do agree with you on some points. This is an MK game, just with less blood and DC characters.
