Yeah dude, brand's sometimes can be way different, little different or very much the same. Now, I wouldn't say to course that MK and DC are "the same" because they're not however, that's not to say it can't work. It's like I've said all over MKO now, if MVC, SW characters in SC4 and Solid Snake lol can work in SSBB a well known kiddy game then MK vs. DC all of a sudden doesn't sound too "crazy" if you ask me.
You see, that's the generalization of "DC" all good, not badassness or such. That's not true man, that's only what some people think or casual DC fans. Batman has killed people, if you check out the Vertigo series they're very dark and characters like V and Constantine fit in nicely(they probably won't be in it) but if they mixed in Vertigo characters, they'd definitely be in there or at least V would.
On the other things, there's good guys in MK that believe in honor, not killing as well man. The Chosen Earth warriors for example, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Raiden(until recently), Johnny Cage, Sonya, Ermac etc
You have to understand that yes, MK is known for brutality, darkness, fatalities etc, etc however that's just the gameplay offerings. But that's not everything to a game. If you break up each character NOT everyone in MK kills people. Like I said before, I'm judging and seeing this thru a storyline point of view in which it can work(which a lot of fans on here are either ignorant to or just don't care) they see Batman vs. Scorpion and automatically get turned off...and think that can't happen? But little do they know that Batman's known for fighting demons, witchboys, sorcerers, zombies, immortals etc, etc in his own universe. And Superman has faced off with very dark and powerful enemies as well.
But what I'm saying is that for the people that disagree with this idea, that's fine and dandy but at the same time a lot of people on the MK8 forums honestly don't know shit about DC when they start posting ignorant things like "Justice Leaguers" would never kill anyone or DC is never dark.... that's my little beef personally being that I love both series. I know and am sure you have a good idea...but being someone that follows both a lot, I can tell this easily with majority of the haters on that forum. Then again most of them are teenagers so really how much CAN they know? lol
Since DC and MIdway are writing it, DC mainly for what I understand the story won't suck the gameplay is a question but I'll bet that it'll be better then MKA's at least. Either way I'm looking forward to it and want to play it before judging it(like a lot of MK8 forum fans have already...)
