i preferably would rather have jax, i never liked kai as, he just seemed boring and that look on his face was, ugh he was just ugly, i have always been a jax fan, he's always been powerful and the metal arms are great, but i never liked kai, so im saying i would like to see jax return.

your comment is pretty dumb. Just because he doesnt like either one doesnt mean he is racist. I dont like none of them either, I always hated jax and kai i just boring.

Whoa!!! First off, all wyndrain said was he/she didn't like them. There was no mention of ethnicity in that post. So let's drop that non-issue right now!

Now, I'd rather see Kai for two reasons:

1. We know what Jax's deal is. We know he has a strange fashon statement that involves him wearing cybernetic armour on his arms and he's with the Special Forces... and he and Sonya secretly have somethin' goin' on... but that's just a little gosip that I heard from somebody who heard about it from somebody else who heard it from his cousin's uncle's brother's sister! So nobody tell anybody else that you heard it from me. LOL!

2. And second, Kai had so much potential in MK4. He had interesting moves, although his back story wasn't very detailed. Also it seems that those who have been associated with the White Lotus Society, mentioning Liu Kang and Kung Lao, have been proven to be very powerfull and legendary fighters. So if we want to start a conversation of lineage of great fighters to have participated in Mortal Kombat, we can look at the WLS and the Shaolin Monks to start a list. That list includes the first Kung Lao, Liu Kang, Kung Lao (the decendant of the first, and Kai. Now the first three have proven themselves to be great warriors that went on to become great champions. So why not put Kai in MKD to see what he can do?

Kai definitely. Now that Liu Kang is dead, it would interesting to see Kai make a comeback with longer hair that he lets down during the fight, with a ripped body wearing nothing but pants.

He could have a new story too and maybe a new move that is reminiscent of Liu Kang. Kinda like homage to the fallen hero.

I choose Kai. Jax is ok, but i want kai to be the next liu kang apart from kung lao. It would be nice to see how his story would unfold.

I would have to go with Jax since he is working with special forces and his story is more solid than Kai's.

Kai has a lot of potential, both in story and special moves, he's the only MK4 newbie aside from Quan Chi who deserves another chance. Make the caperoia one of his styles, have another style like Liu's kung fu (they were partners, so it's make sense) and Kai could be a great character.

I'm sick of Jax, and hated his MKDA makeover. Dump him.

I have to vote for Jax. I thought Kai's moves were lame and I didn't enjoy watching him fight.

I actually would rather see neither return, buty if I had to hoose I would say Kai. Jax is just old and boring. Kai has better ptential, and I think he could carry on the tradition of having one member of the Order of Light in the tournament. But he doesnt need a good makover.

I love the way he fights and how he throws the fireballs and his costume too.

For his fireballs though, they need to fix the homing on them, or have a Close and far fireball like Sub's Ice shower.

But on second thought..... in MKD, I think the characters will be slow enough to not be able to get away from the fireball so easily.

I'm not a fan of either characters, but I like Kai just a bit more.

I'd have to go with Kai, simply because Jax has gotten stale to me. I don't like the metal arms, he looked downright silly in MK:DA (his second outfit was arguably the worst in the game), and his story has been somewhat static ever since MK2. He always seems to be chasing Sonya, that's it.

I agree with everyone that's said Kai, but give him a makeover. He looked rather unremarkable in MK4, but I liked some of his moves, and as an ally of Kung Lao (or even replacing Kung Lao) I could see the character going places.

^^I like that idea. And I'd rather see Kai because with Lui Kang gone someone frome his clan needs to replace him and Kai just makes the most sense.

I would much rather see Kai return. I am soo tired of seeing Jax in every MK game with the same storyline. Give us Kai, explore his story some more.
