JESUS to be in MK6?

Okay...I know that this idea might seem a little out there, and surely appears to be on the humorous side, but I actually heard a confirmed rumor from an inside source at Midway that a possible secret character in MK6 is actually J.C. himself. I couldn't believe some of the other characters that they were considering, but this just takes the cake. But at the same time I can't help but laugh my A@# off in knowing that Midway is actually considering such an outragous idea. Come to think of it; I think its flat out genious. I mean picture it...your playing as Scorpion in a 2 on 2 match against your friend with some serious coinage on the line...and your partner is none other than the son of God himself.
Seriously...what would his weapon be? a golden chalice??? A-lotta laughs Midway!!!

Ok... don't turn it into a religion thread. Not that I would care if this were closed. I think, no matter who the person is, if they are in the real world, they shouldn't be in MK. I don't believe that any game should input celebrities, musicians, or religious figures into a game that has nothing to do with them. It would no doubt be the worst thing Midway could do to MK.

Um, that probably isn't true. They said they'd put a freakin dancing Zebra in MKDA. And no offense, but what proof do you have of this. I never heard the JC rumor.

I agree with all you that are againts it ~Crow~, ironsmoke, liu-kang, SUB-ZERO7. Because the states was or still is under attacted over the issue of the flag. It would be another attact if they did put him in the game. I wouldn't doudt that he was be a pretty cool fighter. But I could never be able to win a game again.

That would be a TERRIBLE idea!! Not only does that NOT relate to the asian mythological world of MK, it would be highly offensive! I would lose a lot of respect for MK if they did something stupid like that. And btw, do you have ANY real proof that you heard this rumor, because what you say sounds like total BS to me.

You have got to be kidding. That is possibly one of the worst ideas I've ever heard in my entire life, no exceptions. The last religious themed game made EGM's top 50 worst games of all time list.

While it does consider crazy look at the facts- Lucifer is a NPC character in the MK world. MK makes references to Hell so as insane as it would seem I'd like it... lol

I recently heard the same rumor. It stated that JC might actually be in the next game. He is said to wield his wonders as a secret character. I read that JC will hold some kind of chalice to pummel his opponents with and that his weapon will be his sandals. His rumored fighting stlye's will include everything from street brawling to all out Hwa Rang Do. It wouldnt be the first time midway spark controversy with the media.

Hmmm. And what exactly is a "confirmed rumor"? Not to be a jerk, but this is probably the most idiotic rumor I've heard. And trust me, it isn't true. Someone is trying to be cool. There are only two people from Midway that actively correspond with MK5.org, and neither of those individuals has mentioned this. Nor would they - it is a stupid lie.

Actually, when ]\ and I were at E3 last year, we were talking to the marketing guys, and they made it clear that religion is one of those topics they actively try and steer clear from in their games, simply because it's too controversial. Therefore, the chances of Jesus being a character in a MK game is pretty much nonexistent.

As much as I hate to do it, I'm going to have to close off this thread. I just wanted to provide a bit of insight into one of Midway's policies before I did, however.

Just my $.02...
