You mean he died in MK Annhilation right? That movie wasnt even canon....

he is a main hero and he has tons of combos and is real easy to use
i kno he might be a noob weapon becuz of his drakesword but other than that he has a great story line and my second fav is scorpion who doesnt hav much of a storyline other than that he is trapped in the netherrealms by the gods and has to get permission to be let out and that sucks and is why he should win armageddon so he could be set free and is not a hell spawn no longer but still have his powers as a god

tough i don't understand what is Taven and scorpion's roles on this thread,i don0t agree at all about Taven.
I think that the MK saga need a comic relief character,and Johnny Cage is the best to fit in this role,Tough Bo' Rai Cho can have the same role.
I prefer Cage,but i also like Bo'Rai Cho.

Now THAT was an excellent and amazing move, Johnny Cage has finally been given the importance he disserves, Im so happy they finally gave him a different crucial role, he is now the one who gathers the forces of light to fight, and somehow, he knows about the return of Shinnok.

IMO, that was excellent, and while he might not be (sadly) the next main hero of the game, he is definitely and with no doubt playing one of the most important and crucial roles of the storyline.

Johnny Cage has all the potential to be the next main hero, I have a feeling the team actually read our prayers and started to do some huge changes with the characters. Cant wait to read what they did with the rest.



I agree. Johnny Cage and Sonya both rock, hopefully we see something more deep about these 2 in the future, their relation should expand. Both are heroes and have enough potential and more to be huge.

The movie's name is annihilation. I think Cage was a stupid character in the first game, now i think he is a good and funny character with some interesting fatalities and moves,

I don't mind Johnny Cage. In the movies he seemed like one of those smart-ass type of guys, which I think is funny. But as far as playing him. Nope. He has a few combos that are easily punished.

I like Johnny Cage. I think he still has some potential to be popular. He should be given a storyline or role in the next game. Depending on if he makes it.

hmmm i think that we'll never see again secondary characters like Kobra,Dairou,Stryker(tough i LIKE him),Darrius,(maybe) Jax,Sheeva,Kintaro,etc.The characters that make just one cut in the saga should not survive.
After Liu Kang and Sonya,Cage is the characters with more appearances trough out all MK Franchise.
I think that after MKTrilogy we shouldn't see Johnny again,because he is hated for his personality and cocky behaviuor.
I don't htinkso:if he was a hated character,he never return in MK4 and MKDA.This means that Midway believe in Johnny character.
He have potential,i really don't understand why Midway(if choose to kill him) don't put him in next gen game.

well to be honest i hate Johnny cage but my baby brother likes him its his favorite character next to Kitana and hes 3.my mom likes Johonny cage to.well i'd pick Johnny cage over Styker any day.

It's more likely to see a return of Taven and Daegon over JC. I have no problems with the movie star, but having him involved in MK8 doesn't seem right. He was a side character since MK2, playing a bigger role in MKA, which is already a huge surprise. He should die in MKA, and never return... no offense to the JC fans.

I think cage should definately survive and become ultimate ruler of all the
realms! hahahahhahahhaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!! okay... maybe not... but he should survive... i think they could expand his story and make him a more popular char for next gen... and if he does somehow manage to become so popular that almost every single MK Fan loves him, then people would bow down to me and want to be me seeing as i am already (and forever will be) the ultimate #1 Johnny Cage Fan on Earth!!!!!!!!.... yeah............ pie....
oh... and to those sayin' stuff about the cage/sonya relationship... i dont think she'd be too happy about the temple incident.....

You mean "Annihilation" the movie.

I'm a big Cage fan but I don't think he's gotten to the point yet where he could pull off the main protagonist role. He's moving in that direction but he's not there yet. The way the endings have been going over the last few games (MK:A) not included, I can see Scorpion in that role since in the ending he's always the chosen "weapon" of the Elder Gods. However, that being said, I think we're probably looking at Sub-Zero taking over the mantle of Champion.

As for Jax and Sonya being involved, personally, I never like Sonya at all. I don't like her character, and I hate the angle of the Special Forces being involved in the MK story. Jax was probably my second favorite character in MK2 but has since been drawn into the same pit of crap that is the Special Forces angle. If they could pull him out of that role I'd like to see him up near the top, but again, not a character that could pull the weight of the story.

Kung Lao would probably be the best fit for the role though.

She would still be pissed a man interfered in her area just for love or being a woman, but I guess she would forgive him after a few kicks in the nuts....and then get married.
