i dont think there is any reason to fear. this game will be the best MK game since trilogy.

Those who liked Da will like Deception thoses who did not like the fighting engine in da will not like the fighting engine in Deception.

I can see why you're worried, but in reality I believe the MK series has a bigger fan base then we all realize. =) Deception will do fine, though yes, it hasn't gotten near as much publicity...But that's because DA was the first MK of it's kind. It sold very well and I think that since the skeptics of MK ever coming back have been silenced, MKD will do amazingly well ^_^ You have nothing to fear.

I loved DA, so, I don't think I will be deceived by MKD, even if I don't like really the roster...

You have nothing to fear at all. Deception looks 10 times better than Deadly Alliance ever has. All the returning characters are more than enough incentive to bring ppl back, even if they haven't played DA. Plus the Backrounds, Death Traps, extra modes, this game is gonna rape deadly alliance in so many ways. Oh and did I mention the Online mode?

Ya i agree it DEFINATLEY didn't get as much hype as DA more people knew about DA than they do MKD i went to EB to pre order it n i was worried that there wouldn't be any left but they said they had PLENTY. But i can't wait for MKD it will be the BEST DA was ooook but this game will surely keep me satisfied i cant wait seriously.

when i went to pre-order the collectors edition the guy said, "oh, i didn't know there were collectors editions." i laughed because i thought he was joking, he wasn't...

I meant that it was 5 years since MK4 to DA.

I think there's always some concern. For example, you could have watched a video months ago... thought everything looked and sounded great... and then somewhere during the development process they could change it. For example, there's a vid on Gamespot.com of Scorpion and Sub (posted in May) and I thought it was TOTAL KICK @$$. Just recently I saw the vid on IGN.com of them fighting and Sub's voice is... well... it annoys me terribly. It's really loud and over exaggerated I think. Baraka has the same voice. He sounds like he's saying "Yea!!" As if he's happy he just got punched in the face. I much prefer the other voice. From the vid I think Scorpion's is still the same.

But anyway. I must say that I think this game will be awesome. Everyone will find something that they don't like or they think should be different I'm sure... but overall I think it will be SWEET. If I didn't think so, I wouldn't bother visiting this site anymore. And for me to say I think MKD is going to be awesome is something because I had a lot of issues with DA that made it my personal least favorite. But I think this one is addressing the things that made me lose interest in DA.

As for the reserving thing. Same thing happened to me when I wanted to change my MKD to the Kollector's Edition... the guy had NO IDEA there was such a thing.

At least you could reserve it. I went to Walmart because they are the only place that can get the Raiden cover, and the guy didn't even know how to pre-order anything at all, much less MKD! He took my name and number and said a manager would call me. Have they? Nope. God I hate Walmart.

As for MKD, I think it will be the best MK of all...and thats saying alot, as the best was II followed by Trilogy, imho. MKDA was very good, but it lacked some key features, like it only had 1 fatality per character and NO stage fatalities. I'm glad Boon & Co. have learned from their mistakes and are offering up such a extra-packed game.
