He didn't create it, he took it over, and hes feuding with the Red Dragon, to kill Mavado.

I really do not want to see Kabal being evil... It's like whomever came up with this new Black Dragon story looked back at Kabal's MK3 story and ending and was like "Hahaha! Yeah right... TO HELL WITH THE PAST!!! EVIL! HE WILL BE EVIL SO SAYETH ME!"
I wanted to see a badass vigilante crime fighter, not another evil clan leader goon.

btw way kano isnt dead trust me dragon king probley has him doin dirty work like training his undefeatable army even though there undefeatable look at shao kahn's extermination squads in the movie motaro said he's killed off alot of ppl for shao kahn but wasnt it kahn extermination squads that fell victim to earth realm also if u rember correctly kano supposdly died in the 1st mk tournement but all of a sudden alive in mk3 revied by shao kahn spared his life to train his squads 100 to 1 i have a feeling dragon king offered him the same negoation in rewturn for his services to train his army.

Well, alot can happen between 1995 and 2004. So, let's just wait and see.

I gotta agree with you there.. alot of signs point to Kabal being evil... But I hope he's good though or atleast there's a good plot for him being evil again..

I like this the Black Dragon is back!!!! I think this has happened as Kabal got really angry at Movado after he beat the piss out of him. He seems to have the Black Dragon focused on one goal. Total Domination. With the thing about Kabal's past story. Maybe he became an angry and said f#*% justice. I'll get revenge on everyone.

I really couldn't care less if the Main Man is good or evil. I just think it's awesome that he's back as a leader of a faction. And Kabal and Kira are, IMO, two of the coolest new characters from Deception.
Either way, Kabal wins. Fatality.

For once I am interesting in the Kabal character. I think it is funny how originally people were stating how Kabal's plain story doesn't matter, he was just a "badass" character, and now his story has gotten a shot in the arm and people are complaining. I don't mean that to be offensive, but the vigilante storyline isn't that interesting.
When I looked a Kabal I thought "Boring..." but now I'm thinking "Psychologically complex". He never became good, that was an assumption by his ending, which never was officially confirmed. Did Mileena become queen of Edenia? Did Ermac kill Shao Kahn? All we know for sure if that when Motaro's forces mutilated Kabal he was left with a vengeance for ending Shao Kahn's rule. We don't know anything after that. Maybe he did become a vigilante, but now he's been whipped by Mavado, Kabal's likely either been left with a vengeance for ending the Red Dragon (by using Kobra and Kira), or he's realised how calculating his enemies are, and he's seen how just being ruthless isn't enough. I like the new disciplined Kabal, and I hope he's here to stay.
BTW, Raiden did only protect the souls of Earth's greatest warriors. The Balc Dragon aren't jsut thugs, they've attracted the attention of the US Special Forces, and have given them a run for their money. When Shao Kahn invaded Earthrealm and took the souls of almost everyone, Kabal was left alone, the centre of the attacks of strange creatures. If you were an able fighter that got their face mutilated, wouldn't you go anti-hero against those who did it to you?

Good move IMO, the Black Dragon being good would be fucking lame.
Plus we already had the Alingment swap with the Lin Kuei, we have too many good charactrs, roll on the bad guys.

I don't know if we can make that asumption. I mean I have no real argument against it but they never said that Kabal was good. He got beat up and was looking for friends for all we know. He felt very unconnected to MK3 in my opinion...
