The point is when someone has 500+ visits, they'll have a general idea of how the site works, who the popular people are for news finding, and when they'll be able to post in news page posts.
whereas people with less than 500 visits won't have a better idea and will post things they'll never seen all the time.
By using 500+ I was using it very loosely, as in people who only have 500 visits will still be learning how the site works, it was just used to generalise them, not categorise them.
Personally I like to think you can tell a n00b from what they've said in the post, not how many visits they have, you can tell whether a post is a smart statement, and the person knows what they were talking about, or they'll say some random, misinformed crap that's usually a few lines long, eg. this thread
It just so happens that the majority have visits below 500, even though there's the odd 1 or 2 who haven't grown out of n00bishness by the time they've been at the site a lot.
O and don't try and bad talk something I've said, I never showed any direspect to the people with less than 500 visits, just giving them a friendly piece of advice so they're not flamed.
With that in mind I don't expect to have my posts nit-picked by people with such a n00bish visit counts, such as yourself.
