I must admit that Stryker was a decent fighter in MK3-MKT. However, I didn't like his look, his storyline, or his overall concept. And I never really felt that he belonged in Mortal Kombat and I still believe that he doesn't belong in Mortal Kombat. I seriously doubt he'll be in Mortal Kombat: Deception other than being in the Konquest mode.

If he's going to return in MKD or in a future MK game, he needs a huge makeover, a majorly improved storyline, and a more MK-ish feel and moves to him.

I will admit that if they worked with him Stryker could have massive potential (I have said this before)...however, current version? He would be raped by every single character in MKD! Or actually make that every single MK character period.

I always thought Stryker was cool and i dunno why people hate him so much.....in mk3, in his bio pic, i thot he looked evil and his eyes looked deceiving, so i think he can have a cool story in MKD.....Goes like this......Stryker was in a hospital for a really long time (since the end of the mk3 tournament to MKDA) and he had now recovered from the invasion of Kahn. He was known as a hero since he saved a lot of people from having their souls taken and the Special Forces made him an official officer. Later during that time, Stryker started to notice that the Special Forces had become very weak after fighting against the deadly alliance, black dragon and now the red dragon, so Stryker was regreting being part of the SF. Sonya and Stryker were attacked by the Black Dragon and Sonya was left in critical condition, but Stryker was given the offer by Kira to go against the SF and helping the Black Dragon. Strker new that the Black Dragon was becoming more powerful so he agreed. As Sonya and strker walked through the wastelands, Kira appeared once again. She attacked Sonya and Sonya was left in the ground telling Stryker to help her fight Kira. Stryker went up to Kira pretending to attack her but instead shaked her hand and turned against Sonya. Sonya felt deceived and she wanted to fight back, but she was brutally murdered by Kira, and her old friend Strker.

He Hill return to mortal kombat eventually. He ha potential weather some people see it or not.

Mortal Kombat Deception has proven to us that we should never believe 3 things:

1o That Characters die and never comeback.

2o That characters considered LAME or BORING will NEVER return. That’s false.

3o X popular character will always be in every game.

I think we will see him in some form or another in mkd, and if he is not playable there, he will be in mk7.

They all like him in their hearts but they're just pretending to hate him. Stryker is a better character than Rain and I can't see how people prefer Rain over Stryker. If you don't want Stryker to be in deception that's your business because Boon is the one pulling the strings here,not you so if there is a Stryker appreciation thread you don't have too screw it up! How you guys want to give ;hornbuckle,johnny cage a chance but not Stryker.Johnny Cage is a hollywood star but he's in mk but Stryker is a cop so he has a better reason to be in than Cage.Most of us here are even reramping some of the characters who screwed up before so if we reramp Stryker I can't see where the problem is.I don't really care who the heck returns for deception anyways,we have; multi-tier arena,deathtraps,two fatalities and a fast gameplay engine so I'm cool.

I don't pretend to not like Stryker. I really DON'T like Stryker for the reasons I previously stated such as look, storyline, and overall concept. Johnny Cage should also step out of MK as well, because he's pretty much useless as well.

Personally, I like Rain a lot more than Stryker and I feel that Rain has far more potential than Stryker does. Do you know why I feel this way? No, it's not because Rain is a ninja and Stryker isn't for those of you who might say something like that to me. It's because Rain actually FITS into MK. I really don't want MK to have a fat, lazy, good for nothing cop character like Stryker. MK is more about mystical and mythological stuff and Stryker simply doesn't have those qualities.

Well, since everyone else is puttin in their 2 cents worth, i might as well, too: Personally, I thought Stryker had potential even back in MK3. I thought he fit into the storyline of MK3 very well with the invasion of Earthrealm. Now, granted, I can see where he would not fit into MK4, or MKDA. But I think now would be a good time for him to make his return. Maybe a little less like a cop, and more like an undercover FBI agent (NOT part of the SF. everyone and their mom is in the SF now. lol)
Maybe in street clothes or something like that. almost like Jax f/ MKDA, but not quite, y'know?

People don't like Kurtis? Why? Because Kurtis is a funny name. He also wore a blue and white jumpsuit. He also had a beer gut. All in all, he was an walking injustice to law enforcement officers everywhere. His combos were good though.

even though i don't like him i'd still like him in the game. why...sos when i have nothing to do and want some fun i'll boot up the ps2 or xbox, choose my character in vs., choose stryker as my opp., and kick the ever loving shit out of him again and again and again non stop. if its possible to turn on one button fatalitys...well i'll let ur imagination work out the rest. ;)

who said this was a Stryker appreciation thread? the topic title says 'Kurtis Stryker' plain and simple... so seeing as people have the freedom to say whatever the f*ck they want (like right now) than they could, in fact flame the hell out of Stryker... now if this thread had said something about having only positive comments, it'd be different (for me at least, it most likely wouldn't be the case for the rest of the Kommunity)

anywaze, I believe everybody deserves a second chance... I and many other people have said that Stryker could come back if they did his story right and gave him a better look...

However, I will stand by my opinion. What would be his purpose in a game like DA or Deception? How would they tie in his story? In MK3 he was one of the last surviving Earth warriors, thus he had to protect Earth... makes sense (even though it's boring/bland)... Stryker was not developed, and he has no ties to any of the other characters... and that is the predicament with re-integrating him into the storyline

To psyclobex: Stryker not being a ninja is not the reason why I don't like him. You might wanna read my previous post VERY carefully! Just because a character in MK is not a ninja doesn't mean people won't like him/her. Kenshi may not be a Ninja. In fact, he's more of a Ronin (masterless Samurai) yet I like him a lot, because he's cool, he fights at least decently, and he fits into MK as well as having A LOT of potential.

But anyway, Stryker wouldn't fit into the storyline of Mortal Kombat: Deception since it'll mostly or pretty much be in Outworld... I simply don't see Stryker fitting in with this MK game or pretty much any MK game for that matter, but if he's going to return, he needs MAJOR improvements.

i love stryker..but his costume was so lame!!! spice up his costume and his fatalitys and hes be a good character.
