Well, Dairou is the generic mercenary out for revenge who's neither good or evil but still has some honor left - total cliche.
That, and he looks like he's been holding in a shit since he left high school.

I think his story is pretty cool with the whole doing jobs for the guy who killed his family. Also, he is such a great fighter. But what you said about the constipated high school thingy, I agree, he is pretty ugly...
How about Kitana?

Kitana's pretty cool. She kicks a lot of asses compared to most princesses (sorry Zelda hon, but it's true). And steel fans rock.
As I said before, I want to see her and Zelda beat Kahn and Ganondorf's asses in a 2vs2.

To be fair, before Armageddon, most of them have only been in one game. It's not the easiest thing in the world to make a character the pinnacle of interesting and engaging when they haven't had near as much time to develop as, say, Sub-Zero.
And just to add to my "Kenshi" is boring post, Sonya belongs on there too.

Johnny Cage is the worst character..Hes not too bad of a fighter, but his storyline involves him dying and coming back too much. Most of the new characters are boring also except for Havik, Kenshi, Hotaru is decent.wow

True, lol. I didn't notice that. Anywayz, I don't think a limited time equals a limited storyline. Take Hotaru or Havik, they have only been in one game but still developed a decent storyline. Good observation though...

Back the hell off. Who are you to bash someone for their taste? Half the characters you chose are actually pretty damn intruigung, even if their design leaves something to be desired.
Also, I think a lot of people arte mixing up "boring character" with "character I dislike". There is a difference, keep that in mind.
That said, practically every single MK character who's been around since MK II has become stale beyond belief. Only exceptions I can think of are Noob, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Raiden, and Liu Kang.

Scorpion is beyond stale.
Sub-Zero is far and away the best developed character in the entire series.

In my opinion
Lamest: Hsu Hao, Reptile in DA
Boring (est): Sonya, Rain, Human Smoke
Rain didn't have anything special about him, another ninja, but he seems real good in Armageddon.
Human Smoke took all Scorpion's moves and added new combos.
