posted03/08/2004 09:08 PM (UTC)byI dunno what the hell you would call it, but in the first MK movie, the place where Johnny cage and Scorpion fight.. Not the forest, but the place with all the differnt levels... Anyway, I figured with the multi-teird stages of MKD, this would make a perfect stage. Have a bunch of levels of scaffolding, parts of it could be on fire, others easily collapsing. I think it would make for a stage that would really alter the way some play the game. Also they could incorperate a cool stage fatality into that as well.
Another point, I wonder if you could branch into differnt levels... Say they had a hidden forest level,, but there could be a hole in the ground, kick the oppenet through the hole, and then drop down into perhaps the stage I described above...

Branch through entirely different levels.....sounds sweet. I think it would be a strain on memory.......very cool idea though

Like falling through a portal to another stage.
that would be cool.
A variation on your idea could be a room like in the Baraka vs Meleena trailer.
But there would be like an unstable portal that would cause small portals to open up around the room while you fight.
If you fall in a portal, you might come out in the opposite side of the same room, or in a different stage.
This could be in the boss battle, like the dragon king is loosing control or something.
The room could be shaking, and parts of the roof could be crumbling too.
that would be cool.

The only problem i could see is that the game would have to stop for a few seconds to load the new level. If they could fix that some how, then bring it on.
Actually that would probbly be a cool name for it, or it would at least work.
Level loading would be a problem, but perhaps they would desguise it by including some type of animation which would show the character(s) going from one place toanother, and then just as you dropped, warmed, what have, the level would allready complete it's loading.
Im sure they could think of something creative.
