Li Mei is the hottest MK chick hands down. She deserves a second chance. Who would u rather see return? Li Mei or Mokrap.

Personally, i dont like li mei. I dont find her story to attractive, and i wouldve rather prefered mileena being in DA. Also, i dont find her being the hottest mk chick by far.

I hope she doesnt make it in mk6, even though theres a high possibility.

I think it's Kitana. That was my first guess.

If its jus the story ppl r complaining about, it can always be improved. Perhaps her family can be slaughtered, which sends her down a spiral of rage and insanity......hehehehehehe........

We're not talking about the same image at all. I was referring to images on the 4th page of the PSM article that was not yet publicly released. You linked to a different screenshot. In the second screen, Li Mei is kicking Kenshi.
Newayz, the proof is pretty solid, and I can't figure out how people can see it any other way. If you have the PSM article I'm talking about(or its scans) and actually compared it to the screenshot I linked to above, it's obvious. A female who looks just like Li Mei is performing one of Li Mei's kick attacks. I mean, if a ninja with a black/yellow color scheme and freaky white eyes was seen throwing a harpoon(an identifiable Scorpion move), I think it'd be safe to say it's Scorpion. :/

I don't like Li Mei because:
-She has a personality I don't think is appropiate for more than one game (I think she fits in DA... but that's about it..).. she is young and naive.. she'll get killed.
-She is too simple... no particularly good story or original powers...
-She is a clone of mileena!

Li Mei is just another character in the list of one-game characters... along with Jarek, stryker, etc.

I don't think you can accurately judge her personality. You're basing her personality simply on her clothing, and when you look at Nitara, I don't see anyone claiming she's a slut. The only real action she's done to show her personality is fight to save her people, and that's valiant and selfless, nothing negative. As for her story and moves, I agree, they do need work, and that's why I'm hoping MK:D will give her a good storyline and improve her moveset so that she can get some depth to her character.

Infact, in the earlier stages of MK:DA, Li Mei was see in screenshots using Nitara's weapons instead of sais. The weapon choice of sais was just an arbitrary change, and she really could have had any weapon.

Li mei is basically just in this to get revenge for the one that killed her family. It coulve been shang tsung or anyone, and look how much people has died by the hands of shang tsung, and LI MEI out of everyone is coming back to get revenge. Her story is plainly simple and boring, if shes returning, she needs a HUGE change.

Since Mileena will probably be having her one style, not to mention the sais, she's going to have to be totally freshed up. And look, i dont want her in even more now, because there is already 2 females with purple clothing. We have mileena, sindel, and now.......li mei? Geez, come on, 2 females with purple is enough man.

I understand what ur saying, but I'm not judging her by her clothing, but by her story, her ending, and her concept. She was meant to be a young and naive modern girl. I don't think Li Mei is that special... and would like her to just gracefully step aside...
or something I would REALLY like is Li Mei to be milena's soul (If she actually died...) in a new body.. and she knows nothing of her past life... but when baraka find's her soul in a dragon king soldier (li mei's ending), he somehow recovers it and awakens mileena.. who goes back to her body since baraka kept it "mint fresh", and Li Mei's beutiful body was left brutally deformed because of the battle.

Eh, I have never heard of that story. Her bio doesn't mention anything about Tsung or Quan killing her family. It says Kano's troops invaded her home and enslaved everyone to construct a palace. She was then forced to fight in a tournament to try and save her people. Yea, that still isn't a great story, but now, she's got a clean slate and can go just about anywhere with a new storyline kinda like a new character.
Having two characters wielding sais could be a problem, but then again, how many different variations of swords were present in MK:DA? And if I'm not mistaken, Kano and Hsu Hao had repetitive weapon movesets. We can't be sure how the weapon problem will be worked out, but it's not like it's impossible to have two characters with similar weapons.
Aside from that, what's wrong with having three hot chics wearing purple rather than two? ;)

Personally, i dont like 3 chicks wearing the exact same outfit.....well, atleast not in MK. Its boring. It seriously is. Each character should have there own distinctive look, there shouldnt be 3 chicks all wearing purple, its a little stupid. Li mei was a waste of a character in my opinion.

And by bad, i just checked her bio and everything, i was a little incorrect about her story, i confused kano and slavery with shang tsung killing her people. Anyway, we dont even know if she was able to save her people or not, i'm amusing there dead, but who knows.

As for chicks, theres already enough hot ones in my eyes. So far we have Mileena and Sindel, and its most likely that Kitana will be in this. Thats 3, and i dont really want li mei in this.

Listen bro, i'm not saying i absolutely hate li mei, i seriously dont, but i just dont want her being in MK, shes straight out boring, and her story sucks arse, we need to be introduced to new and better characters, not to mention old ones. However, as much as i dont want her in, its possible she'll probably be in it.

Damn 3 purple chicks in one game with similar outfits, not a good thing. If it is Li Mei in Deception, i hope they change her color to the Green/Brown alternate color outfit she had in DA. Mileena can change her color to a bright purple, almost redish, and Sindel can keep her outfit color. Just a suggestion to keep them different looking.

So they could give her different clothing. All iv heard u ppl complain about is the things that can be changed. Clothing, story, and personality on a character can be upgraded, eveolved, and completely redone. No one has given a good reason for Li Mei to step aside.

Until u get actual proof she is dead, not jus by her ending, no one has any reason to beleve u.

What keeps a person dead or alive in the Mortal Kombat world is not whether they were killed by their nemesis or threw themselves on the metaphorical sword in their endings. It's whether the fans like a character's concept, look, and story. In which case, Li Mei is as dead as a doornail.

In my opinion anyway.
