It seems that the Flash have got Kabal's move. Please midway, lets not start this. The DC characters should have their own original move set. I'm getting sick of this, I don't want anymore copy and pasting, its really annoying. How hard is it to just make sure everyone have their own original moves? I have been pushing for this game and promoting this game and all I and other fans get is more copying and pasting? The game looks EXCELENT, finally we got ripped clothing and bruises ect, But please make the special moves....SPECIAL.

Thank you. And I hope the ripped clothes and bruises and blood are done to the max or at least simelar to Tao Feng.

I couldn't agree more. If they're gonna do this, they should do it right. Not saying that the particular move doesn't make sense for Flash.. but still, if Kabal already has it, Flash shouldn't. Besides, there are plenty of other moves they can dream up for Flash's powers I'm sure.

On a similar note: One of the pics I've seen (though orginally it was thought that Scorpion had defeated Batman)... It appears (on closer inspection) that Batman is using something VERY similar to Scorps old leg take down move.

They can do better.

well i agree with you about the rush move thing but flash is kinda the one who actually uses super speed he will have a rush move i don't think kabal is gonna make it into the game anyway

Well said (aside from the grammatical errors).

I noticed that too about the Flash screen shot and, believe it or not, I said to myself "Well now, how fucking gay is that?"

However, something tells me that it won't have the same effect as Kabal. It looks more like Reptile's move where the opponent acts confused and Flash get's a free hit. Still though, copy and pasting.

It's just that, well... Flash just sucks THAT much. There are so many other DC characters out there who would have original and indeed SPECIAL moves. But they're too worried about the iconic characters so people will easily recognize them and buy/rent a copy to stuff the money up Midway's financially crippled ass.

Ed Boon and company are just taking orders guys... we all have our bosses.

Why do we need Kano laser eye and superman sumshit eyes moves and kabal and what was his name, flash and so on.

Okay,this is juat fucking stupid.

Kabal's and Flash's powers,for lack of a better term,are similar.
So why the hell shouldn't they use similar moves?
On a sidenote,what the hell is up with Kabal? I don't think we ever got a canon explanation as to why he's able to go at Mach 3.

Most of the combatants in this game,for both sides,will be using an energy blast projectile of some kind. Are you going to be bitching about that one too?

And finally,what kind of moves would you rather have Flash use?
Srsly.
He's all about the speed. There's only so much you can do with that without going into ridiculous shit like "vibrating his molecules through solid obstacles".

Well while we're at it, why don't we demand for a canon explanation as to why Johnny Cage has a green shadow following him around, or why he's able to throw green stuff at his opponent....

Im sorry, but just because one character was inspired by the other, or just because they “share” a similar ability, is NO excuse to start the ridiculous game of “lets copy paste trademark/classic/whatever special moves”.

Its stupid to not see the quality-disaster of copying and pasting special moves to characters who aren’t even part of the soul of Mortal Kombat.

Look how horrible MKA’s reputation has been regarding the quality of its product, and yes, one of the reasons it’s the copy/paste of at least 1 special move to every character.

Projectiles are a different matter as long as they look original and creative in their own way. If not, be assured everyone will bitch, and they’ll have a damn good reason to do so.

There is still enough creativity and imagination in the world to think of a better and more unique attack to give to Flash instead of borrowing a special move from an existing character of the game.

If this wasn’t MK and the DC universe was facing some other world, that would had been accepted.

All we need now is confirmation that Batman is indeed doing Scorpions MK2 scissor take down move in that other pic to make us all roll eyes.

But seriously. Can you begin to imagine that?

And the possibilities of unleashing the Apocalypse if some DC character shares a Leg Grab, a Nut Punch, a Spear, a Thunder bolt, a Shadow Kick, a Kiss of Death, a Soul stealer, etc., in Mk’s fashion, are pretty much high and ready.

Honestly, it would suck horribly to see any sort of shared moves in this game. That’s like still remaining behind, or falling constantly in the same stupid lazy mistake.

I'm having faith that Ed and the MK team wont do any of those mistakes again.

I dont think this is a problem at all, because i agree with "phenom-forever" that Kabal is most likely not going to make it in the game...theres way more iconic and interesting characters then Kabal.

No, this guys got it right. Kabal shouldn't even HAVE that move, he's not the Flash, oh wait, this game HAS Flash. Hoever, It won't matter, Kabal won't make the game.
Flash has super speed, I mean his specials will prbably be

-The run
-A whirlwind type move
-A super quick multi-hit

Not much you can do with him.

Oh so Flash had stolen super speed from Kabal all along then eh.

If anyone deserves to keep the move it is Flash. Kabal shouldn't even be able to do it in the first place. Plus it's not the first time we've seen move theft in MK. Remember Smoke? Shinnok? Shujinko? Jarek? I don't see anyone complaining about them borrowing a few moves!

Kabal has about a 2% chance of making the cut anyway so it won't matter.

First off, Kabal was inspired by the flash, so Kabal being in is very high. But I don't mind Flash having a move or two from Kabal, but I'm just talking about everyone else, I hope they don't have the SAME exact moves. Thats the thing thats pissing me off.

I hate how us fans always bitch about quality but in the end all we want is quantity and well we get what we want. Quit making excuse as to why the flash has kabal's move and lets just hope that the MK team actually listens to us. Theres no excuse for the DC characters to be using MK characters moves. This is a new engine, time for new everything.

I don't know about you guys but I don't want another MKA. Everybody likes to focus on the trivial shit such as the renders ect instead of what really matters.

This is MK we're talking about here. If they can cut corners and keep the majority satisfied, instead of us stalwart fans, they will.

Special moves just aren't what they used to be. Ever since MKD/MKA special moves and projectiles are nothing but after thoughts. Gone is the magic they once freaking had.

Flash having super speed is NOT an excuse to copy/paste a move of any character who is going to be, or NOT going to be in the game.

I would love to see what some people would be saying if any character suddenly started throwing a knife type of spear in Scorpions style.

Or if we had another ice controlling freak doing Sub-Zero's special moves the same way....

I can buy Johnny's fireballs for the same reason I buy Ryu's hadoukens. Martial arts mastery,chi control,the whole shebang.
However,I think that the ability to BREAK THE MOTHERFUCKING SOUND BARRIER FOR NO APPARENT REASON AT ALL warrants a bit of an explanation.

Face it,pretty much every single superpower you can think of has already been done in some form or another. Telekinesis,pyrokinesis,cryokinesis,levitation,teleportation,you name it. It's all been done. Now,it's just the matter of execution. And it doesn't help that the abilities of 50% of superheroes out there involve projecting energy blasts of some kind,usually the "PUNCHES FROM THE PUNCH DIMENSION" kind,like Cyclops' optic blasts.
How many fucking moves can you come up with based on that? A big fireball and a slightly less big,differently colored fireball? Christ,man.

Repetitions and similarities are bound to happen. There's no way around it.

I can guarantee you that nobody ever gave a fuck about Scorpion's leg takedown. Ever. It was the most useless move in MK2.
But as soon as another character dared to have a move resembling it,we start rolling our eyes.

sadly they always recycle moves, that will never change, why do you think they came up with K. A. F. ? they are running out of ideas, this doesnt surprise me anymore since mk 3, a lot of moves will be similar, its seens inevitable. my suggestion to ed is: go play kof and steal something from there. it wont kill anybody. im sick of recycling too.
