The subtitles suck. When I got excited in the old days, I would yell "LET's PLAY MK2!!!!". Now its...lets play Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance. What a mouthfull, just bring back the numbers. or at least put them in there somewhere. i.e. Mortal Kombat 7: Armageddon

I can't wait...It sounds cool,but it keeps me in suspence! I bet mk3 will be playable game in it...because look-mkd-mk1 mk:sm-mk2,and now mkarm-mk3...but yeah.boon said this game will have the biggest roster of characters (mk3 had the biggest roster of characters ~outta mkdmksm~ |mk1,mk2|....so im saying mkarm is a coincidence) and i want to play it. lol.

I think they're going to keep naming off the games to keep them even more different than others like Tekken 5, DoA4, etc.

The title doesn't have a flow to it. But I guess it's better then Annihilation. I'm hpoing to see what happens with characters like Noob-Smoke, Sub-Zero, and maybe even Sektor. Here's hoping the MK Team breaks with tradition and doesn't fuck up again.

No, it really doesn't though. If it was called something like "Mortal Kombat: The Final Battle", then I could understand everyone being worried. It's just going to be another MK. Hopefully better than Deception, but we'll see.

Actually, I'd like to point out that the "5" was put in MKDA's logo. Just look at it carefully. You'll see that one thing is shaped like a roman numeral 5. Let's hope they do the same to MK Armageddon's logo.

And, what I like about them doing subtitles in these games is before the game's release, you have one or two words that basically sum up what the storyline's gonna be.

When MKDA was announced, and I saw synopsis on the Lava Shrine at the official MKDA website, I initially thought the storyline was gonna be this; the Dragon King returns, takes back Outworld, and plans to threaten to take over all realms, Raiden launches a strike against him, and caught in the middle are people like Shao Kahn and Shang Tsung, and they join forces with Raiden to take back Outworld. Well, that's what I initially thought about the storyline, but look how much I knew back then. lol. So I thought the "Deadly Alliance" was Shao Kahn and Raiden, the most unlikely of alliances.

When Deception was announced, all we knew about the storyline was that there was going to be a deception involved somewhere. We all had these theories, but as it turns out, there's really more than one deception going on in MKD.

And now with Armageddon as the subtitle, all I can say about the storyline is...the apocalypse has come. Evil probably won again. Either that, or good won in MKD, but someone like Raiden has seen fit to destroy all that exists.

Anyway, let the storyline theories BEGIN!

Maybe Shinnok will come back, since he is the only one that knows how to work his own amulet. He probably waited for someone to collect all the kamidogu, etc. and then he strikes so he can fuse them and thus gain so much power that it will unbalance the furies.

Shinnok probably knew that Quan Chi gave him a fake amulet and was just playing possum. Come one now. If you made something, wouldn't you already know if it was real or fake. Shinnok is a god remember. Quan Chi is only a little sorcerer compared to Shinnok.

This is interesting If this is MK7's name then it's decent and it tells us we're in for one hell of a game story. I can't wait to receive official word about it.

One thing's for sure, if the battle system is like the last two MK fighting games, it won't sell well. I want something that takes more skill. I'm not asking for it to be like Virtua Fighter or anything, I just want it to be...better...

I was never much of a fan back in the day, but ever since it became 3D I've been a pretty avid fan. Only problem is, the gameplay just ain't as good as some of the Japanese made fighting games.

It's kind of ironic. When it comes to cartoons, America clearly has Japan beat, but with video games...it's another story.

Anywho, this is good news. But it ain't as simple as them just dishing out the games as long as people buy em. I'm afraid that Ed Boon will get tired of making MK games or something. It happen s everytime with this sorta thing.

virtua fighter does not take a lot of skill at least when you are fighting the CPU i beat the game using one button

Well, one can incinuate that MK Armageddon is the final MK Game... Since Armageddon is usually tied to being an end to something.

^If it is then, they better tie up all the loose ends to the story and IMO, the final MK game should have all the characters from the original game. (Liu Kang, Raiden, Sonya, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Johnny Cage and Kano) Just as a nice nod.

The release of the new MK game is sounding to be a great hit for all MK fans across the globe. But myself as a worthy fan is puzzled and yet worried about Why it is called MK:Armageddon.

Armageddon means the end of something big. Could this be the last game EVER of Mortal Kombat?!?! I hope not, Unless it's the end of something (or someone) in the actual game. I don't know, but they won't call it Armageddon for names sake.

Look back at Deadly Alliance, the alliance of Shang Tsung & Quan Chi, Deception - the way Onaga/Damshi fooled Shujinko in the art of 'Deception'. Armageddon - the end of... Lui Kang? The Rivalry of SZ/Scorp? The End of Earthrelm as they will lose the 10th time? I dunno, what do you think?

I reckon it'll have all the characters from DA, Decepetion (GC version) and be for the Xbox and Ps2. Maybe GC too. It's easy money, and the name is fitting. Armegeddon sounds big and final- it'll be the definitive current gen version- equivalent to mk trilogy- except there are only 2 games in it. THey could have called it MK twoilogy but that would sound crap.

I guess the next gen MK will have some kind of rebirth related subtitle. They could call it MK: Dark Ressurection, or something.
