a good Observation you point out about MKDA and MKD. I think if the series was to end, "Apocolypse" would be more of a last game name. Armageddon will probably refer to a very Chaotic, anything goes storyline and if so, that will mean that there could be a strong chance of a lot of Characters coming back. seeing as there is the outworld and edenian armys together, it could also refer to a war.

Something which seems to have been over looked is that maybe its the next shaolin monks type of game, as then itd be set during mk3 which was esentially armageddon since the everything on earth, except the chosen warriors, was destroyed. So theres that possibility too.

This should be the last MK game on current generation consoles.
So this game should have every single character ever in the game.

Deception barely made it to GC and Monks just skipped it completely. Though I suppose the GC is better of without another poor title.

Gamecube they made deception for it because of two reasons, it did pretty well on the other two consoles so therefore why should Nintendo fans miss out, and two do to the lack on online play on the GC, they added Goro and Shao Kahn as playable characters giving the GC 26 characters as oppose 24 on the xbox and PS2.They also give you 6 more characters right off the bat which should be a given, i bought it the day it came out for the Nintendo GC and all you have to unlock is 6 guys.Also, unlike Namco, Midway knows how to get their fighters Greatest Hits and Platinum.Not bad for a game that supposedly doesn't live up to par according to fake MK fans. hehe


Now, for the new name of MK 7:Armageddon, i think it fits a MK game just fine, i mean someone mentioned earlier that subtitles sound silly in fighters, but honestly it sounds better than just MK7, MK8 , tekken 6, tekken 7 SF 4000, lmao.I mean in this day of age, it just sounds better and also helps tell the difference in games.As oppose to just ohhh MK 6, MK 7, MK8 imo.

I have a feeling that this game will have all the favorites, everyone from Deception i have a feeling(possibly without Jinko though) and everyone that was in UMK3/Trilogy.

Who knows i think that a 40 man roster would be just fine, it's not too many, but not too small either imo.A good number for variety imo.

It will most likely be a War type of storyline like different realms creating alliances against others or something like that.

Now for the engine, i heard that they are going to pretty much improve on Deceptions engine, latest news on that, whether they decide to change that or not i have no clue, but thats what i heave read i believe on here with an intereview with Boon and a few other sites.Nothing is set in stone though yet.

Got an even better idea. What about not only including every single character ever concieved in the MK universe (including Belokk ! For those who know who he is) But also have playable elder Gods, Warped reality, Distorted space/time continuem, so that you could fight different battles at different times in the MK storyline ? That way, since you have an unlimited amount of possible plot and story lines, dang near everything would make sense and be able to be brought together under 1 roof.

They should also include an adveture game in every MK game from here on out. MK is the most story based fighting game ever concieved. I wanna fight in a remake of Shinnoks Fortress in 3D !

And power ups ? You guys remember all the different powers that the fighters had in MKM SubZero ? Imagine subbie with those kind of powers in a fighting game ? MK:Shaolin Monks did an excellent job in that area, but imagine them taking it to a rediculous level.

Last but not least, "DESIGN YOUR OWN CHARACTERS LOOK/DESIGN, AND ABILITIES FOR ONLINE PLAY " !!! (Look out city of heroes)

Include all locations that for whatever reason were eliminated from past MK games.

Then I'll be satisfied !

I'm hoping it will tie up loose ends with the Dragon King Onaga story. With MK SM they went bacwards rather then developing the story, which i would like to see happen. Also is this going to be a predominately RPG orientated game or was SM a one off.

Armageddon usually means the coming of an end so it probably means that the series is about to take a seriously turn like a huge suprise a death of somebody maybe but this is not the last game if it was it would be something like revolutions like what they did with the matrix series Probably someone evil is creating chaos in one of the realms and there is a chain of events like Earth realm is destroyed and the good MK characters loose some combatants. But this doesnt mean the end of something so come down you crazy bastards its LONG WAY FROM OVER...

This is just going to be another MK. Trilogy. Possibly all the characters from MK4-MKD or just every Frekin Character besides canons. Im the type of player who masters every character in the game so this could be great for me but will serve pointless for those who only master 1 or 2.

As long as they bring bach 3 on 3 for online Im OK.

Thats great, now we want to see better character designs (models are always ugly in MK), better plot (they need to hire a good writer for that), and it needs to be a lot more polished than deception, my god the amount of bugs in that game. The fighting system was good enough.

I'm hoping that they take ever character, minus Moloch from Deadly Aliance and adds them to the Deception Roster including Shao Kahn and Goro.

I'm also for bring out existing characters.
