I dunno, am I the only one who doesn't see Ashrah being manipulated into killing a race of filthy blood-suckers, as being a bad thing? Anyone else? Anyone at all...?

Disapointing. After that encyclopedia that was Nitara's bio, with a lot of explaination about the vampires, Vaeternus, The Kriss/Datusha, Ashrah's bio seems a little poor. Pretty much everything that is being said, was already said or explained in Nitara's bio.

If that bio was released before Nitara's, maybe I'd appreciate it better. But that isn't the only thing that bugs me here:

In Deception, Ashrah is trying to find and defeat Noob Saibot, in Nitara's bio, she is controlled by her sword and slaying vampires, then in her Armageddon's ending, when she supposedly receives a great power, she purifies the whole universe, focusing in Quan Chi. I was expecting for a bio that would link those three different "Ashrahs" and not just a mere predictable response to Nitara.

I can deal with the ending having nothing to do with her bio, since the same happened with the other characters who received a bio (and I'm not a fan of that ending either), but her whole Deception storyline shouldn't have been ignored. I'm not saying that they should insist in her rivalry with Noob, but an explanation about why the fight showed in her Deception ending didn't happened would be appreciated.

Other thing was that she ascended from the Netherrealm with the Kriss, which also contradicts her Deception ending, which showed her weapon not travelling with her. It's not that important, but it was a intriguing factor in her ending that I'd like to see more explored in the future and the fact that it never happened was a little disapointing for me.

Also, with the presences of Quan Chi, Sareena and other characters who probably were part of her past, I was expecting a better exploration of that period of her life.

Sorry if it sounds too dramatic, but Ashrah is my favorite character and I really didn't like seeing her being wasted that way.

I find it interesting to see that some think this was rushed, others say it took too long...*sigh* lol let midway do their thing guys, you don't want it rushed but you also don't want it taking 2 years either. The speed it fine, let them take their time to write good stuff.

Anyway, ART can't be rushed. Patience is a important virtue, not everyone has unfortunately.

But anyway GREAT bio and keep em coming midway. Take your time, the more time the chances are the better it'll be.wink

MKF, please stop defending Midway. Honestly, no matter what they do you always want to have an excuse for them. As if that would help anyone or the situation.

Really man, you say the time they take is fine, take a close look around and think, its obviously not. And what really makes us think that they take all this time to write a bio. For all we know, they (well, I say they but maybe its just our Vogel alone) already have more then 20 finished bios, but they only like to take this long to post. The huge wait doesn’t mean they are spending all their time writing one single bio, because that’s ridiculous. That’s why some people (I don’t agree though, with this bio at least because it felt good) say its rushed.

Maybe it was rushed and finished ages ago, but just now they decide to post it.

Yeah, Patience is a virtue, but just as an equal example, I would love to see how much patience you could had if you were forced to wait for someone for more then 3 hours, alone, when that person specifically told you a day and a time. Then later, you learn the person never arrives because he/she either slept or decided to go out somewhere else and didn’t bother to call.

The patience thing doesn’t play any sort of importance when it comes to bios when you have to wait for almost a month to get just one and small written thing. Isnt that enough? Because we have all honestly waited a lot, enough, and we shouldn’t be waiting because the bios should had been in the game, tied with a complete storyline that would lead to closure: as they promised.

Well said queve. I'm sick of Midway apologists. Just take some time and release the stinking bios already. It's really not THAT hard!

bios can wait...now ed boon team is working 24/7 on mk8,and it's better this way!

the entire armageddon thing is a failure and with time every character from thi generation will come back....this is just my opinion(more than 2 cents)

mk8 have the priority.

however i think that they shuld release a bio every week or every 15 days....
for givin more rgularity to mk fan boys...

i'm not impatient howver to know about characters such like darrius, dairou, etc.
now the only missing is Stryker, after that all my favourite already have a bio.

The excuse "the MKTeam working hard on the MK8, the MK8 is the priority" is lame.

Midway is one of the main american videogame company, Midway can make the MKAr bios without affecting the MK8 development at the same time, and if the MKTeam already released all the bios, this problem wasn't existed and really they can work at 100% in the MK8's development.

There are NO EXCUSES, we want the bios, they owe us...

Great, Ashrah is my favorite and best character to fight with. However, I always loved Nitara, the simple fact she was a vampire enticed me. Wow, I hate this bio b/c it relates to Nitara and vampires in such a negative way. If i could be anything mythological it would be a vampire and now to find out my best and fav character to use kills them. WTF!! Son of A! furious I look forward to SubZero and Quan Chi's BIO.

This bio in itself is not a bad bio. Despite it's lack of any complex storyline, it does deliver, on the other hand, simple versed paragraphs that go straight into the point, without deviating into other plots or themes.

As for Midway not releasing the bios of the rest of that characters, (I don't know how many characters are left someone should tell us their names) I am getting antsy and impatient too.

But who knows, maybe this is part of Midways plan,(maybe they have something up their sleeve in terms of bios and MK8?) to release bios slowly. We just have to trust them on that and go with the flow. No need to second guess or doubt Midway's intentions. I know I won't be doing any of that on my part. And to suggest that complaining about it will hasten forth a bunch of bios, is, I think, not in the cards.

Personally am I disappointed with Midway not releasing the bios? why yes, yes I am. And there you have it.tongue

Laugh if you like. Doesn't matter. Assume that you're so much smarter than the poor, broken lunatic. Doesn't matter. But think about this: Your a dead thing, same as me. You died and were reborn...as this. What makes you and me different? Simple -- I remember what I saw when I was full and truly dead. You'd be mad too.

To add to what queve said. How is this a good bio or any of them for that matter. The neccessity of a bio is to create a foundation for the character in order to understand the continuing story and ultimately the ending to said story. This is Ashras Ending:

Ashrah
The power of Blaze purified Ashrah completely; she was transformed into a being of divine light. Her radiance soothed even the darkest of souls. With new purpose, she traversed the realms in search of evil, pacifying the wicked. Her mission came full circle when at last she purified the sorcerer who would have her slain: Quan Chi.

Guess what folks.

THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH EACH OTHER!!!

Boon and Co. promised us they would bring everything together and tie up all the loose ends. As interesting and maybe sometimes freakin awesome as these bios may be, all they do create more loose ends. Why, you ask...because we've all been told that the book on this MK Universe has closed with this game.

Incorrect, Ashrah was also in service of the Brotherhood of Shadows, so they have plenty to do with each other. Though I may tend to go towards the solution of Blazes opwer purifying her from being a demonic entity and also from the power of the kriss.

Lol at the bend over.

Lol at the malkavian quote in your signature.

I will NOT give up on the bios. If these bios were awful(or not promised at all), I might not care, but these are good, and the series deserves and NEEDS them.
