Finally!
I really hope they would stop taking so long...you know, it really makes you lose interest. I always felt super excited about reading a bio, but this one has taken more then a month, and well, it just didn’t feel as cool as it would had if it had been released sooner. I hope they do so with the rest, because its frankly starting to feel annoying.
Anyway, Ashrah’s bio:
Since day one I had fallen in love with Ashrah’s original and interesting storyline, and of course, I paid loads of attention to the awesome story her weapon concealed. I still remember how we all thought the cute little sword was nothing but a sweet friend trying to help another friend, specially when reading her ending, where its stated that the sword left Ashrah in order to help another unfortunate soul looking for redemption.
But then we discover the sword is not really the so peaceful tool we thought it was. Or could it be?
We really don’t know, we have 2 different versions of the sword: The vampires, and Ashrahs.
Its sad to see that poor Ashrah is being manipulated by the supposed evil that hides the sword, and that she is hunting the recently freed vampires, killing them with no mercy. I actually feel sorry for the Vampires, beings that wouldn’t really care about killing us in earth if hungry or angry.
BUT, should we really feel sorry for vampires then? I mean, maybe the sword is manipulating Ashrah along side some outer force, but it could be for the greater good. Maybe Vampires really are as demonic and horrifying as we are being laid to believe in Ashrah’s bio, maybe Vampires really are disserving of death. Who knows what catastrophes they have caused in the past or are planning to cause. Maybe not all vampires are as kind as Nitara.
I really like the story they have developed between these two females, the vampire realm and the sword. It’s a bit confusing, you don’t really know who’s side to join.
I would join Nitara’s because if vampires aren’t really evil, well, its very unfair what’s happening to them. MK’s vampires don’t really sound like the typical vampires you see in movies or series.
But I would also join Ashrah, because she is looking to purify herself (maybe in the wrong way), and if she has to do so by slaying beings of evil, then its all “for the greater good”.
I enjoyed that bit of the beautiful beings that are using her, and that she wants to be an angel of light, pretty biblical, sounds really cool.
That thing really complicates the story of the blade:
Is it really evil?
Is it really good?
Was that an hallucination?
Were those the elder gods?
Was it someone in disguise?
Were the beings the previews owners of the sword?
Are the beings evil?
I have a feeling things aren’t really too good for Ashrah, somehow I feel the sword will destroy her instead of purify her.
It was also good to find out that Ashrah didn’t actually defeat Nitara, Nitara bested Ashrah and escaped. I also enjoyed that bit of “seductive and powerful is their dark magic...”.
It is overall a great bio. I really like it, sadly, because it took soooooooooooooo long to be posted, I just didn’t feel as enthusiastic or happy about it as I would had if it had been posted sooner, specially because its way too short, and sadly, though it’s a great story, a bit more about Ashrah should had been posted, something that doesn’t necessarily have to be about the sword.
I truly hope those “beautiful beings” are NOT Shao kahn, Quan Chi, Shinnok or any of the main bad guys like some people suggested. I’m honestly bored with these guys (specially Quan Chi) fooling everyone and making them do their will. We have seen enough of them with many bios already, no need to make their missions or roles so linear by manipulating more then half of the warriors.
