Midway Releases Comic-Con Fight Video and Joker Render from MKvDCU!

San Diego Comic-Con may be over, but the news keeps on coming. During the Comic-Con event, Midway showed a video showing various gameplay footage from Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe. The video first shows Superman and Scorpion fighting on the streets of Metropolis, where the mid-battle Test Your Might sequence was shown. Then it cut to Batman taking on Sub-Zero in the Graveyard, where Klose Kombat was demonstrated. The next match was between the Flash and Sonya in Hell, where they took turns beating each other in Freefall Kombat. The video finally cuts to Shang Tsung and Catwoman fighting in Metropolis again, before the video shows quick cuts of the previous fighters. This morning, Midway released the video online, in both standard and 720p high definiton formats. We are providing the videos here, with the standard quality one available via YouTube embedded streaming video.

In addition, Midway released the render of the Clown Prince of Crime, the Joker, which had originally been posted on IGN's website. This version, of course, lacks the watermark the other one possessed.

There are other cool news about MK!:

Points at huge Sig Joker looks superb! He is definitely the best thing to come from DC for Mortal Kombat. I simply cant wait to see his speail moves, fatality and his overall gameplay (considering he is not "supposed to be" a fighter and all that crap, I told you people they would still make it work...now, Poison Ivy would had also been the best thing ever, but she is unlikley to make the cut now). Like I said, his render is one of the best and most well done of the lot. He is up there with Shang Tsung, Sonya, Scorpion, etc., in terms of looking not only awesome but interesting. He looks scary, wicked, and that grin of his is just orgasmic. Thank god they paid serious attention to his design and didn’t made him boring and simple like a few of the new released renders we saw a while ago. I hope he laughs wildly and wickedly in the game when being beaten and all. Sure he can make some “hurt” noises...but he should laugh from time to time. As for the videos, I think its awesome we keep getting footage from this main chosen fighters to promote the game. Cant wait to download!

Don't believe he did, there was a rumor that Cap. Marvel would be in the demo but that was never confirmed nor shown in any of the videos. So I guess we will have to wait till they release more vids else ware.

OKEY as much as he looks all nasty and vain.Joker is a tactic, genius,sarcastic and has a good head on his shoulders(this is to avoid writting all the +'s)However he was never a fighter.A hitman sure,but not a warrior or even a thug.So the question is what the HELL is he doing here!!!
Name one character he can defeat so far without using thugs hostages and armaments.Bane would be so much sweeter or even Ras(he at least is a martial arts expert and a great fencer+ a pinch of magic)...

Obviously. But the fact is that he is in this game, despite some people believing he cannot fight. Clearly, he will be fighting though, so hopefully they'll model his style off of some of those less definitive versions of himself.

The trailer made me think it is a lot more of the same...

Batman = Tanya / Noob Saibot
Flash = Kabal
I have a feeling Joker = Jax with guns

Shang Tsung has so much fire and darkness I confused him for Scorpion

lol scorpion got a hole on his chest. I like the damage system(clothes damage,body damage). And the gameplay looks fine.

I was really suprised with the Joker render, I was really expecting them to go with the Heath Ledger "Joker" look....The messed up hair, scar's and make-up painted on, and the long purple trenchcoat. Thats not to say I don't like this render...far from it, I think it's amazing, he has that maniacal look about him still and I can't wait to see his moves.

Also, when it comes to Joker being a skilled hand-to-hand combatant, it really does depend on the writer. Some do portray him as an excellent fighter, while others show him just getting his ass handed to him by one punch. I'm glad they have him in this game, because Joker is without a doubt, probably the face of the DC Universe. And I cannot wait to see what he can do in the game

They can't, DC told them NOT to use Movie versions of the characters. Maybe if DC opens up a little bit, we can get that version of Joker in the future with alternates/downloadable content. That's all DC right there though, Midway can't do anything until DC gives the ok to do it since it's DC's character.

As a fighter ehh, Joker isn't much of a fighter. He's one that uses gimmicks like squirting flowers, guns, buzzers, pencil tricks lol and silly shit like that to hurt people. His hand to hand skills blow.
