Khameleon probably isn't concerned with repopulating the Raptor race because she's realized you can't repopulate a species with only two left. Because you know what happens then? Inbreeding.

The Saurian race is already extinct. The last ones just aren't dead yet.

This bio isn't spectacular...but it's not horrible either. Considering Khameleon was a mere last minute addition and they didn't bother to make her unique appearance/gameplay-wise, I'm not that surprised they gave her a by-the-numbers story.

At least we finally know what happened between her and Reptile at the end of Trilogy. Interesting that Reptile turned on her and chose to continue serving Shao Kahn even after she apparently told him what Kahn did to their people. Was it cowardice? Did he do it to protect Khameleon as some in this thread theorized? Something similar to Shang Tsung with the soul-binding thing? Or maybe Reptile is really just an evil asshole after all who doesn't care about his people as much as he claims?

Curious if that'll be acknowledged in his bio when released.

I like this bio. Is certainly has its flaws and it's hardly the most original bio, but what these bios are doing is filling in the gaps, and this bio does so. It explains what happened to Khameleon after MK: Trilogy and also sheds light on Reptile's actions and character.

Reptile in MK4 was still trying to bring back his race while serving Shinnok, so I'm really curious as to why he rejected her offer and sided with Kahn. Perhaps it was cowardice, or perhaps he knew something she didn't.

Also, I think it's very interesting that Khameleon seems very... calm... in her bio, especially compared to how Reptile has slowly de-evolved and become more primal and emotional. Under the same logic, she should have been at the same de-evolved state as Reptile, and yet she's not. Is that purely a gender difference, or was it something else? Curiouser and curiouser...

Anyway, her goals haven't changed, really. She's still out for Kahn's blood (yeah, her and everyone else), but at least that gives her direction. Considering that Khameleon is the single-most ignored character in MK history, I'm really glad she's gotten a decent, not terrible or great, bio.

Now, I just hope I don't have to wait a month for the next one.

First off, why are we assuming that ALL raptors look like Reptile? All humans don't look the same, hell all shokans don't look the same, that can be the same for the raptors.

And Comeone, its beyond obvious that Chameleon will be revealed to be a raptor as well. So Khamel can mate with both Reptile and Chamel. It would be plain out stupid to not have Chamel be a raptor, i mean him and khamel look like twins. So i belive he'll be a raptor.

If that's the case, then I forsee the last 16 years of listing Reptile as my favorite character as being for nothing. *sigh* I guess the Reptile that I liked, the guy from MK2 that took on his master in order to protect his people, never really existed.

MK2 Reptile's ending is a "What if" story. What if Reptile had the balls to stop kissing Shao Kahn's ass? God it's so depressing. sad

Interesting.....

I like the points raised by baraka's_cuz a lot.

BTW for anyone who has the game, what is her voice like?
Is it standard female or does it have a reptile sound to it??

And her weapon, the falchion or something.
Any art (like the kirehashi) saying it's a Zaterran artefact/relic?

Falchion...curved broadsword, ..an english weapon godssakes. Or otherwise called after some evolution as the Cutlass.

This reminds me when some guy asked wether Afghanistan mentioned in Kiras bio was on Outworld. Sometimes the lack of forethought either ends up in hillarity or completely baffles me...

Regarding Khameleon's ending. all I have to say is this, if her ending is Canon then Kahn, Goro, Shang Tsung, possibly Baraka, Millena, Motaro, possibly Meat, and anyone who's currently serving Shao Kahn got owned big time. Well that killed 2 birds with one stone lol. Her bio however, wasn't spectacular but didn't really suck either. The revenge thing is more played out than an atari though. Unoriginal and bland as hell. I'm glad Chameleon wasn't meantioned since he's too insignificant to even be an honarable mention in Khameleon's bio apparently grin. I'm not just basing this on my hatred of Chameleon either lol. This does leave a question, did reptil attack Khameleon to try to protect her or is he more of an idiot than Shujinko was in MKD. I want Moloch's bio to come out next but for the sake of this question being answered, I'd be glad if reptile's bio comes out next. But I say this again, If Khammy actually wins the battle,
Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
not only will the raptor race be renewed but she gets the ultimate revenge against Shao Kahn by making him and those who serve him raptors.
I wonder what goro and motarowould look as raptors though.

My personal theory? Reptile learned the truth from her, was all gung ho to go take down Kahn, but right about then his de-evolution kicks in, and he starts to lose his intellect, and becomes a mindless animal, one that's loyal to Kahn like a lapdog. Just throwing out a possibility. Reptile's de-evolving did start around the end of MK3/begining of MK4 right? It also fits in with Khameleon's specific wording of what happened.

Either way, no doubt we'll know more when Reptile's bio hits.

Interesting point, on your why Khameleon doesn't look like Reptile de-evolving and all.Well, this is just a theory but perhaps the female Saurians react different to stressful matters then males, however if that's the case how is Chameleon's case the same as Khameleon as far as looks anyway..

Who knows, perhaps the fact that she's calm and all unlike Reptile most likely has something to do with it.

Honestly though, IMO anyone here who felt this bio should have been near to flawless or "perfect" is kidding themselves.I mean, come on....the character as X said was a last minute addition. Her character is HARDLY important to the overall MK storyline, she's a "fan" character nothing more...

She won't be "the new Hero" for the good guys sorry...Khameleon fans tough pill to swallow but the truth none the less.

Just deal with her bio already to the Khameleon haters or not pleased Khameleon fans on here.Geez...every time her name pops up, there's usually more bitching about her then positive talk.

Her bio is perfect for her given her OVERALL character.

Well, after so much waiting and complains from the majority of the community here, we finally have Khameleon, her powers, her bio, her ending, etc.

As for her character, I think (though not completely original) she looks awesome. The “ghost-like” appearance really makes her look cool. That’s probably the most positive thing about her.

All her special moves suck, yes, she was supposed to borrow all of those, but still, originality could had been implemented at least with one tiny new special move, instead we get a collection of recycled powers, lame. That’s how she was, but remember, Reptile, Noob and all the others started just like that, in their next appearance they were all granted originality, and the same should had been done with her and the male one.

Her ending...well, since almost all the other endings sucked horribly, I guess there isn’t much to complain about. I wonder though, did they have her ending written before her bio, or what? Its not as horrible as some others, but its definitely not as good as it could had been. All these endings about someone killing EVERYONE or making EVERYONE transform are so unlikely, so empty and so boring. They feel like they were just thrown there, like the story didn’t matter anymore. Her ending is bad, not horrible, but it does suck.

Her bio...I find more interesting all her comments about Shao Kahn then her personal goal or feelings.

Im really interested with all that stuff about “Shao Kahn feeding on Kombat”, and “all those who fight him seem to only make him stronger”. Im not sure, it could had been just her way of seeing Shao Kahn as some invincible monster who just wont die, but if theres a bit more depth in those phrases, then we might actually get some interesting revelations about Kahn, and he will finally get the twist he has been needing since Mk3 (though MKDA gave us cool new info about him, and the "dead Kahn" bit was awesome till we found out about the clone). Im really curious about Kahn, I hope they give him a proper story in this game, and not the same thing we have already seen in Mk2,Mk3 and MKD.

Now, there isn’t really much about her to discuss. I like the revelations about Reptile and who knows, maybe we will get some answers with his bio, but that’s it. She, like everyone else is dying to kill Kahn, win Armageddon and get the god-like powers.

There isn’t really any depth, she had the potential and the possibilities, but, this just feels like it was written to let us know we wont be seeing more of her anytime soon.

Khameleons goal is one that we have seen already way too many times, but I guess that’s the goal she must fallow to give her finality, though it would had rocked to see something new incorporated about her, something hinting for a twist.

Overall, this isn’t a bad bio, nor is it really one of the good ones. Its just there, in the middle, good enough not to be bad, but bad enough not to be great. I would had love to feel that it was her who was truly speaking (like you can feel it in Cages, Sonyas, Kenshis, etc. bios).

Hopefully they wont take this long to release the next one.

Thanks Mk Team and Vogel! smile (not, Im not being sarcastic, really, thanks!)

I wonder if we'll even get any more, though. I'm halfway-willing to bet they'll just stop releasing them soon.

That would be suicidal.

I would love to hear the fans if that ever happens. And I would join them in the campaign.

Honestly, one (probably THE one) of the most stupidest and idiotic and terrible and...(everything that’s negative) mistakes they have ever done was not include the bios in the game. If it was their decision or not, if they had power over this or not, etc, its all out of the question. The point is clear.

It was stupid.

Im honestly not too sure about their word about that decision not being “theirs”. How could it not be? I doubt Midway or someone with more power out of the team would go and say: “No bios this time around” for no particular reason. If that actually happened, it was because they had to be rushed, because once again, they run-out of time, and if that’s the case, its their fault. I cant imagine Ed or Vogel just saying: "Ok, no bios Sr.!", when they KNOW that the story is what makes Mk, MK. They had to be under some pressure. An ambitious game that was rushed. An incomplete product, thats how it was, thats how it ended.

It pisses me off badly that the bios didn’t make it to the game, that we got crappy endings and that he entire story felt ruined because of it (even though its finally starting to make sense, etc.).
