It looks like an amalgamation of his outfit from MKSM and his Alt. from Deception/Armageddon, with a few touch ups. I like the bone-mask and bone-shinguards.....though I agree I would have liked perhaps a slightly more dramatic change for him.



Of course, I don't plan on buying this atrocity of a game, so I guess all's fair.

It would be nice to get a good Sub-Zero pic.

But look,for once I think we as fans should expect the best cause you have to admit we kinda been screwed over in the past.The graphics are fine if this is actual gameplay but I think its just a render of course.But again is he gonna move like a plastic doll like as in MKDA-MKA?

Say what you will but I don't think this picture is going to keep those fans who hate the idea of this game already.

I'm not insulting anyone or this site but I want to see some prograss that really shows that this is a make or break in the franchise.As if this games life depends on it and really it does.Its cool to see such a picture but if this doesn't resemble the actual in game gamplay I will be alittle upset and feel decieved(hints the deception lol).


But the one thing that still bothers me is ed said that they wanted to get the same look as gears has.And I look at this picture and I say,"WTF,Where is that look?"Neither the teaser trailer or picture makes me think their gonna take full control of either game console or the engine their using for this game.

This is of course my own opinion so to those who disagree thats fine,but this better be the best god **** mother f****** MK game EVER.

I think the image of Scorpion looks pretty bad ass. Everyone should turn out looking cool.

I think The 3 Characters we have seen so far look very very good! I was skeptical about the game when I heard the concept, but everything I have seen so far has sealed the deal Im excited now!

honestly, it's not a big deal, I sent a message as im sure others have as well, about the render. The important thing is that people who may not have known about the render now do, that's the whole point of mkonline, as a news source, of course someone will find the lead first, but at least now all those who choose to know about it do.

I didn't know about the render until today, from the news post here at MKO, so I don't see why people are bitching about it. News is news, regardless if it's a day or two late.

Looks more like a pre-rendered shot to me. The ingame stuff we've seen looks pretty good though.

Hopefully Ed adds Noob. I would kill to see him modeled in UE3. I can only hope Ed, somehow, someway, comes across this. Wishful thinking.

The cartoony look and bulky design is gone. That alone is a big improvement. The costume isn't bad neither, really like the mask. Don't fancy the belt and yellow toes.

Yes, this is a more clear picture than the previous one. Here looks more like an Arachnid Scorpion. I like that. The only thing I don't like is these shoes. Also his eyes looks great. Talking about arachnids.. what about a new ninja based in spider design for MK9?

Tad late to the party, pal.

Personally, I think the design is good. Not great, but not awful either. It looks much better now that I can see some details. I'm pretty happy with the "bone" mask in particular. Still not too fond of the arm guards, shin guards, shoulder pads, or belt buckle.

That being said, if this is just a render, then "meh". If this is ingame, then it looks fairly decent.

Now.... it doesn't matter how good it looks, will he animate well? Or are we in for another round of rock-em, sock-em robots?

At first I was like ok, but when you zoom up on the picture it looks great. People are comparing it to past games saying its the same. But they got to remember the old consoles could never produce the graphics like the next generation consoles can. So mabe the render looked similar, but this is probably what the gameplay of Scorpion will look like. Overall I think Scorpion looks good.

However, I'm not to happy about the look of the background, but thats me. I think if they made the background a little darker or Gothic scheme to it Scorpion could blend easily.

We've haven't posted news involving scans ever since we had legal trouble with doing so. I don't see why people keep forgetting this. There is no "valid point" to what he said at all. Most news we post comes from news leads people send in. Check back and you'll see throughout our entire history we almost always have a "thanks to ___" message at the bottom, thanking the first person to notify us about whatever it was.The reason this is a respected site is because we've done what I have said for so long, without interruption or breaks, even if the news may not seem that important.

Again, you can't post scans online, it's illegal and we have been threatened for doing this before. The "no scan" rule is very, very old. If you don't know about it, then you're just a newbie who hasn't been around for all that long. I don't even remember a time, since I've been with this site, where scans have been allowed. I even made a thread explaining why there would be no news posted on the image.
