Seriously though, i really liked how Baraka and Mileena were together, its like romantic evil. They will both be decieving each other, and Mileena was actually sent by someone to kill Baraka.

I'm disappointed too that they've apparently parted ways, they were a great couple. Hopefully they'll work out their differences in their respective endings, and Baraka will be puttin the stones to her again like it was meant to be.

Well if they did split up it was a bad decision after all its not everday you find a mate with the exact same lovely smile as you (shudders).

Mileena was never loved by anyone exept for Baraka. For her whole life she lived in Kitana's shadow and was cast aside by all who she tried to love. Baraka took Mileena away from Shao Kahn treated her like gold. But he is evil and love is one thing he is not good at. For power I think Baraka would sacrifice his love for Mileena and he would sacrifice her also, therefore he decived Mileena and I think that is why that fight is taking place in the Spider Lair.

It seems like that one thing that both Mileena and Baraka have in common (not only their smiles :) and being outcasts) but the fact that they are never able to accomplish their goals. Baraka has come close...so has Mileena, but they never win... maybe that will change in Deception.

He took her in when everyone rejected her (because of the way she looked). Come to think of it, Kitana actually took Mileena in as well. I was reading up about Mileena somewhere. When Kitana saw Mileena's face she made her a purple mask much like hers. They became close like real sisters until Mileena became suspicious of Kitana and Shao Khan appointed her to spy on Kitana. Kitana killed her and she was brought back and Baraka kind of took her under his wing. They tried having children but she couldnt reproduce (considering she was just a clone). When Kitana killed her in MK Gold Baraka went mad. . . Wow, I didnt realize this was going to end up being Mileena's freakin' life story. . . Sorry!

this doesnt have to do with the topic, which is a good one, but i never liked mileena until i saw the trailer for deception, she looks awesome and bad-ass. So does Baraka. I think they will be the main characters of deception like scorpian was kina for DA

Baraka and Mileena's relationship might actually be non-canon. It's only mentioned in Mileena's MK II and UMK3 endings. The UMK3 ending was completely retconned in MKT to hype up Shinnok and the MK II ending obviously never happened since she didn't win.

The fact that it's mentioned in two endings is a good sign that they do have a relationship, but it's not something set in stone.

...how do they kiss without needing medical assistance afterwards? I've always wondered that.

Yes, that's definitely fan fiction. Nothing like that is ever said in the games or official comics.

Mileena and Baraka are involved and I don't see them turning on each other so easily. The trailer for MKD is for show imo and to cause speculation. they may still be lovers and happy with each other but pissed at everyone else as usual. I do believe that one or maybe both of them will have something to do with the deception in the games story though. Whatever it is, with these too involved, it won't be pretty!
