The Adult in me hates the Mortal Kombat Side, but the kid in me loves the DC Side.

I have been against the game from day one, simply because making a T rated MK game goes against everything Mortal Kombat stands for, but I rented it anyway because it is an MK game, and my kid is obsessed with Batman now.

With in 5 minutes of playing the game, I realized that all I wanted to do was play as the DC characters. And once I started playing the DC story mode, I really got hooked. In fact its funny, because when I was playing the DC story mode, I didn't even think about fatalities.

From the Mortal Kombat stand point, its worse than I thought. Fatalities are watered down, no stage fatalities, no story or character progression, and no new MK characters. Terrible.

I think this games saving grace is the DC roster, and the game play itself. Close combat, free fall kombat and test your might are a lot better than I expected, and it really does feel like a suped up version of Deception.

I kind of wish the MK team would have just made a DC fighting game. I would have much rather seen Lobo and Captain Cold ( Or Mr. Freeze ) than Sub-zero and Scorpion.

I think if they can double the roster with DLC this game may actually be worth a purchase.

I just hope the next MK game is truly an MK game.

Not really, because he is commenting on his thoughts after he played it, and his perception changed.
