thats why they should use KI... period. thats the only other fighting game that matches perfectly. TheSoulOfErmac Wrote:
I just don't like the idea of taking pre-existing characters in their own genre as whole and mixing it with the lore of MK. I do not think these two franchises fit each other. While there are similarities, you can connect many ideas together. Almost any story targeted to older teens to adults involve murders, fighting, explosions, suspense, etc.
A simple reason why I think DC doesn't fit with Marvel, the game is expected to have a T rating. That means DC is changing the way MK has worked to fit it. Wack.

MKA - Blaze wins, resulting in cataclysm and the merging of realms. On a higher level, Worlds Collide. The first two universes to merge are MK and DC. Tensions rise, battles are fought. "Resolution" comes to fruition after the defeat of two sub bosses and a final boss. The former, made up of Blaze and a DC big baddy. The One Being takes the role of final boss. Pieces of the puzzle finally begin to make sense. MK9 comes out in 2010. Whether or not The One Being wins, this entry will either be another Vs game against a different universe or a reboot of the MK franchise, taking place in their own mythology once again.

good stuff, another reason this works is both frachises have a multi-verse, I wont get into all the pre-crisis, post crisis DCU nonsense, but if you do your homework kids, you'll realize that this has a lot of solid potential.

Watering down is actually what this franchise needs IMO. Sure, there should be still blood and Fatalities, but try to keep it realistic. No 10 gallons of blood flying with every punch, people getting torn appart as if they are made out of cotton candy.
The MK series needs realistic bruality, not cartoony.

Even I gotta admit he has a point about the way fatalities have turned out since MK3. Some of MK2's fatalities maybe but at least when somebody exploded, you didn't see 4 skulls show up on the ground like in MK3. Shaolin Monks was cool, but the "cotton candy" effect was all over that game. Same with MKDA and onward.
