^^ I'm pretty sure you're right. I liked the trailer and loved everything about it except the gameplay. Strangely, to me, the dismemberment at the end felt like an homage to Mortal Kombat.

I wasn't too impressed by that video... it especially annoyed me how anime they look and how the hair didn't obey the laws of physics very well. That plastic-like shit needs to go.

Yeah, thats typical samurai showdown style though, they gameplay looks like it needs work. Especially with the floating characters, but i love the finishers. the graphics are great. SOME of the stages are impressive.
Its not MK in the next EGM. Just a few weeks back on the 1up podcast shue specifically mentioned that Mortal Kombat was one of the games EGM has been cut off from, because their reviews of the past few games were given bad reviews.
Im going to go with Samurai Showdown or the new King of Fighters game.
the gameplay in that trailer looks horrible but after mka mk fans cant say anything bad about gameplay on any game. the anime death scenes were ok, though.
