I actually will comment on our "Live Line" sidebar.. Sadly it didn't work out like we hoped. The plan was to have live shots with our cell phone's throughout the show. We even tested it, however once we got in LA, Bishop's provider wouldn't allow it to send out the automatic email we had set up, possibly because he was roaming. We didn't know it wasn't working until all the emails started bouncing back on his phone. By then there was nothing we could do. So Yeah.. heh not everything goes as planned!
I just found out that a couple of the things I said was me being misinformed. But yeah, I remember hearing how the camera phone would not only snap pictures, but be e-mailed to something that would automatically put the pics on the site, but the phone shut off outside of Texas. Bummage.
It's kind of funny, but despite living with ], the angle of him as a fan who busts his ass to provide other fans with information without getting paid - well, it hadn't hit me before I read this topic.

| Scott-Howell Wrote: I'm not mad at you ErmacWins, it's just I think there is a misconception of what goes on at E3. We're only a staff of around 5. We don't have all of the resources IGN and Gamespot have to update the site during the show. And no offense to readers who want that.. but take into consideration.. we don't WANT to update during the show unless we have to, (And we did once). We're at E3, like you said the best video game conference in the world. Yes, we're reporting for the site.. but we even we didn't want to stay at the Midway booth all day. What did we do when we weren't updating? We were having the time of our life exploring and playing the OTHER games. And I think we have every right. You'd be stupid to stay at the Midway booth after flying to E3 and not have fun. And we are entitled to that.. Again.. our coverage isn't over.. We'll be making up for it, by Wednesday we should be posting our review of MK: Deception. If we had all the time in the world while at the show, we would have updated then.. But again, Yeah.. you're right we didn't, because we'd rather enjoy our trip. Trust me, if you were there you'd be doing the same. Criticize the coverage when it's over, but not during. Again, I don't want you to think there's hard feelings, but if you get a chance to go to E3 I think you'll understand why you can't get more then one or two updates a night. |
I hate to totally get off subject here, but I have to ask since you went to the show. What were some of the other games and things that impressed you at the show? You don't need to go into any detail or anything, I'm just curious about some other stuff that you were looking forward to and liked at E3 other than MK.

I didn't have much time myself, since I had to wait in line over an hour to see Stan Lee! :P Honestly, dude, not many people would go to E3 just to wait in line.
However, I did get a chance to play this new Donkey Kong game (kinda weird, you control him with a bear of drums that you bang on), I liked Paper Mario 2.... Spider-Man 2, the new X-Men, and Punisher look great, and of course Psi-Ops...
We really were at the Midway booth for over half our time there, though. Couldn't tell ya much about any of the new PC games.
Did I mention we were up till about 2 AM every night, and woke up at 7 each day, in order to put on as much content as we could?
