With Konquest Mode having all the characters that were ever in the game, is this their attempt to pass off MKTrilogy 2? I will be disappointed if this is the scenario because MKT was my favorite MK yet. I think they should wait for PS3 to come out when they have enough room for 50-some characters and then make a real one, with 3-D renders of all characters and stages. Do you guys think this is supposed to be the trilogy 2 and if not do you think my dreams of one for PS3 are not gonna happen?

i think when the ps3 comes out, they'll manage to put all the characters in the ps3 and i'm not angry with u(dude, just cool down i don't think anyone would be so pissed off just to flame u in ur next topic)

Well the guy was actually basing his thoughts on deception so is clearly valid in this forum, as for the question, i think as well they might need to wait for PS3 but it won't harm anyone if they decide to launch it before PS3 comes out.
And man, if no one answers to your thread it's not becuz they have hard feelings with you, it's becuz they dont like it, I rather have no answers than ppl acting n00b in my thread wink. Cheers

Maybe it'll be the same with THAT as it was with PS2... All the characters will be there but with lesser quality graphics: AKA PS2 graphics. Like the 2-D MKT was on a 3-D console. I'm not saying that it won't sell, but you can't expect ALL the characters to be with the next generation graphics in ONE.

The difference about this topic is that its not offensive to anyone.
I dont think this is their MKT2. I dont think there will be a mkt2 either, ever. I dont want one either, mkt was too broken...didnt like it.

Actually, I meant it like that. PS2 graphics on PS3, just like the first trilogy had snes and genesis like graphics. It never bothered me about the first one, I doubt it would bother me this time.

if i'm not mistaken, all the characters in trilogy were playable. most of the characters that are in konquest are not playable.

Yes, I understand that, but if the MK team didn't wanna do that again, but knew there might be a demand for another trilogy, do you think they would kill two birds with one stone by putting all the characters in this game? Why else would the do it?

Konquest is supposed to open up the table so that midway can make action/adventure games. This particular konquest mode takes place in the mk universe, where the mk characters exist. So, naturally, they are all in the game mode.

But even in the adventure game, there wouldn't normally be a need for every single character. There were a lot of shit characters with shit stories that probably don't have anything to bring to the game itself but will probably be forced in, and i think that they are doing this to make it like a trilogy 2 without making all the characters playable.

No. It's an expansion on the Konquest mode of DA. Boon expanded it, and put in all the characters from the MK universe to tell stories and straighten out things that people have been wondering. It's not MK Triology 2.

So basically it could set up MK7 to have anyone in it that they choose because everyone will have a story going into it.....kinda cool I guess.

No I read the whole thread and didn't mean to triple post, I'm just impatient lol. But the whole premise is inconcievable it would be too large of a game,and if it was 2d all the sprites would have to be made, and it would just be too large of a project for Midway.

and knowing how they're screwing us over by giving some characters the same exact moves and styles as other characters, if there was a 50-character MK game, it's like one character would have the same exact moves and styles as another
