Well I beleive you. It could be because i really want something else to find or it could be that its obvious because when u hover over puzzle kombat in menu the small video in the clouds show KIRA FIGHTING HER ALT COSTUME AND HAVIK FIGHTING SCORPION! And if they wasnt some how unlockable without a cheat why would they put that footage in the finished game? They didnt even do something that dumb in DA.
I hope soon that you tell us how... But if your telling the truth not too soon so we can figure ourselfs first. BTW I havnt seen any clues at all u have gave? What where they?

*shrugs* I don't blame them... before anyone found anything, I thought to myself, "If I find something, I'm not telling anyone!" Hell, that still stands.... I wouldn't tell anyone either.

I, too, believe you 100%
I am exteremely grateful for your hard work on finally discovering SU's, and proving once and for all that they are out there, in one form or another...
Even if those assholes don't believe you, don't let them get to you, because you will prove each one of them wrong once Midway releases all of the details.
I, for one, have experienced first-hand that at least Ashra HAS been unlocked, and the evidence is on the first page, for all you dickheads who try to debunk everything without any proof yourselves.
And even if you say that the character models ARE in the game but only accessed through a cheating module, how do you know FOR SURE?
I mean, sure, you have the machines, but do you think the PEOPLE of Midway would have actually left them in the game just for the hard-core cheaters?
The answer is NO.
It's just the way a human would function under the circumstances.
They would take the characters out if they served no function whatsoever in the actual game.

Might I remind everybody about the thread that got locked. I also forgot to mention that there is no previous post on his board about anything except the characters they "found". Which leads one to believe that they didn't make this whole board of theirs till AFTER they "found" the characters.
If that isn't fishy, I don't know what is.

man your just one ignorant fuck who doesnt appreciate other peoples hard work! so what if theres a clan, thats a kool thing with video games, its even cooler if your clan knows a secret that not 1 other person in the world knows!(excluding the developers, and close friends)
and its much kooler when they can just prove it just like he did with his above statement!
** THIS is what mortal kombat is all about, secrets, finding them... if everybody knew all the secrets right now it wouldnt be as interesting as it is now! its totally cheating to find a secret by asking others how to find it!
im trying to unlock all characters without asking anybody on the forums...
and im having fun...
theres no point of unlocking everything by cheating, there has to be a chase, you have to try hard, i duno if i can describe it but some1 out there should understand!
if i found the secrets i wouldnt tell any1 either!
well 8deadmen, i congratulate you for your hard work! keep it up :) i too will be trying to find those characters! ciao

There are lots of online game clans, one member I played in CS was from some clan that had 666 in their names.
MKO should have a clan.

8DeAdMaN,
I am not here to call you names or throw insults your way. With that said I still maintain my belief that what you claim is false. Now there is no way for me or anyone else to really prove the rumor is false. The only way we could we be if you actually revealed the exact method on how to unlock the characters. So we are in a Catch 22 situation. We cannot confirm nor deny what you say as truth or fiction until you decide to reveal the method.
These are the three issues I have with believing your claim...
1) You will not reveal the actual method. Now I can sympathize with your feelings on all the negative bashing you have received. I can also understand your reasoning of not wanting to give out the method to people who have called you some pretty nasty things. But what about all of the people that do support you, and believe what you claim? Those that have stood behind the entire time, and even go as far as to defend you on these forums. Why would you not reveal to them at least the method? Why not reward those select few that have faith in you??
2) How is it possible that you alone figured out the way to unlock these characters, yet what seems like dozens others try repeatedly and fail? You would think that with that many people trying various combinations over and over again, someone would at the very least accidently do the correct method once. How is that possible??
3) Various people have stated they played members of your clan online. Most of them also state your clan members chose different characters on the select screen to get Ashra. That means that you not only need to do something special to unlock Ashra in Puzzle Kombat proper, but then need to input something special on the character select screen since she isn't an alternate of one exclusive character.

Well to add fuel to the fire if this is real or not, I just saw funny enough while I was reading this thread, a load screen art work that had puzzle ashra fighting ermac on the PS2 version. If you leave the demos play long enough you'll see it also.

8DeAdMaN,
I was just curious about how you came across these unlockables? Were you actually trying to find unlockables by doing something specific or did you just stumble across them? I'm not requesting the method of unlocking them, I'm just a curious fan of your discoveries.

if the character models ARE ACTUALLY IN THE GAME, don't you think that there is some damned way to get them?
wouldn't they have just gotten rid of them if this wasn't possible?

exactly. if these models are in there, they would be in there for a reason. unlike the unplayables in konquest mode that you fight against (jax, johnny cage, etc), these little puzzle fighters models aren't used ANYWHERE in the game. the other ones are used in konquest, even if we can't use them.
but however the other models are in there. i am a software engineer, and trust me, when we have a final release of our product go on the market, ANY and ALL of the extra crap we don't need in the code gets taken out before it hits the shelves.
so from a software designer position, those models are in there for a reason. in general, we (software designers) don't leave in extra stuff for no reason, that kinda crap is completely kleaned up. i also do believe 8deadman after reading this post. i saw his post on ign and atfirst thought it was fake until I read this one. i do believe his posts are real and that he has unlocked it due to the reasons I explained above. hopefully he releases the information soon.

Come on now, let's not act as if he is almighty and be nice to him so he will tell us. "If" this is true then good for them. They still suck at playing with these characters online, my little sister could beat them. If knowing how to open some secret characters in a video game and not sharing that with anyone else is the pinnacle of their life, then let them have their time.Let's not waste any more time with this "Clan" LOL All I will say I am sure in previous MK games they got to unlock secrets by what other people have found and "shared", and I think it's damn selfish and hipocritical not to return the favor. I wish these numb nuts would be banned. And who is going to "take credit" other than you guys? You have posted this on every board so we all know where it originated. I think it's a cop out because you are full of it. And that's the bottom line

twitch86: The answer is yes. Sometimes video game companies do leave in things that can't be accessed, unless through a cheat device. For example, playing as Johnny Cage in the gameboy version of MK1. Or playing as Kitana in MK4. They're only accessed through a cheat device, yet those spirits (or some of the spirits I should say) are in there.
Hotaru: You can find secrets all you want, I do it. But make a CLAN? Come on now... people have "internet gangs" on finding secrets? lol. How about instead of being a clan... just... make friends and tell them about it? DUH. Then you'll get the credit and not your "clan" name.

Wait, so let me get this straight... you're tired of people bashing you and not believing you, and you recognize that the MK community is full of ignorant people who wouldn't believe you anyway until you would give them the method, yet you come online and say you have these characters?
More so, you offer proof, which you yourself insinuated most people would not accept because they would still say you were using a cheating device (regardless of it being legitimate or not), and you still flaunt it?
Spare us the explanation of your motives; you should have seen it coming, and as far as I'm concerned, you deserve it.
Relishing in the fact that you have something tons of other people don't is not boasting, but showcasing it in front of them and not telling them how to get it for whatever your reasons are IS, whether you want to believe it or not. Period.

Think about this..
You say..How can 1 guy figure these S.U.s out but everyone else in the world cant? Maybe he is someone from the Midway Team thats doing this to show off secrets we haven't figured out yet, to keep us going. B/c he is right, using the cheat device online doesn't show up on the other persons screen and you would have to restart to change characters.

That still does not explain how out of all the supporters of the rumor, not a single one of them have stumbled upon the correct method, even if by accident.
8DeADMaN threw out enough vague clues that someone, somewhere, would have figured it out by now. That is of course unless the clues were intentionally misleading, or flat out false.

You can visit either the forums on GameFaqs, Brady Games or IGN. All three forums have topics similar to this one. All three forums also have numerous people working on "unlocking" the method.

man, let me tell you guys something...
if i DO unlock a puzzle fighter, there's going to be NO DAMNED WAY that i will tell ANY of you
with all of the bullshit you give to the guys who HAVE unlocked them, i can totally see why they wouldn't release the information.
but if i DO unlock something, i wil post NUMEROUS pics, and, i don't know what the hell they look like, but if a cheating device somehow sticks out of a PS2, i'll take pictures of both my tv and PS2 to prove that they ARE IN FACT THERE

Look, if the guy IS lying, it doesn't matter. He has accomplished what he set out to do - people are trying endless different combinations to no avail and people are arguing with each other. Stop posting in the thread and it will die. That simple. Unless you can confirm the SU's DO NOT POST. I'm tired of keeping coming back to this thread to see if someone's confirmed anything just to read a bunch of pointless arguing.

Agreed.
I think that this is the end of the discussion for me. For those people still trying to unlock the characters I do wish you the best of luck. I would love to know beyond a doubt that I was wrong, and that so many people didn't waste countless hours on a wild goose chase.
Time will tell on this...

I have one question for 8Deadman:
Why be greedy?
If no one believes you, tough shit for them. If they do believe you, then they are happy to find out it's true. But to be a greedy little whore about it is wrong. You call people whiny little bitches and yell at them for not believing you but yet you still hold it over their heads and tease them with it. If you are a fan of the game, why not share it with other fans? Yeah it's a great feeling to know something everyone else doesn't but you are just a dick about it. So you and all your little clan friends that are on here saying this and that can either put up or shut up. People are tired of the bullshit and I am one of those people. So either help out or shut the hell up.

2 main things.
1. You cannot believe the demo viedo about puzzle characters. Why? If you watch the fight between Scorpion and Havic, Scorpion does his super and it is Kolapse. So the demo video was made and kept before the final release of the game.
2. I don't think the 8 clan members would mind answering this question. How do we know if we have unlocked one of the extra puzzle characters? Will there be like a noise or will the character just show up as a picture?
