Yes, but the Dragon King is the final boss, not the Mid Boss.

I hope that DK won't be a too hard boss to beat, although he's a big monster... I remember that in MKDA, I was always obliged to take a character practising Tae kwon Do to beat Moloch (Mokap or Sonya). In MKDA, that still went, because Moloch was only a sub-boss: I just had to beat him, then to lose the following match to change of character (I know, it's a technique of little player, but Moloch is really too annoying, lol)
If DK is too hard, I am sure and certain that there will be half of the characters with whom I shall never finish the game... :/

I too seem to recall Ed Boon saying that the Dragon King (as well as the sub-boss) would in fact be unlockable.
I remember 'cos I felt disappointed- I had visions of the whole Shinnok/MK4 thing going on.

We are not sure... Some people think he was on the E3 screen (personally, i'm not convinced yet), but if it was the case, his name would have been probably on source code too... But he could be in the game as a super unlockable...

The Dragon King being playable would bring back the days of MK Trilogy, when the likes of Goro, Kintaro, Mortaro, and Shao Kahn were playable. This gave the player who chose them a larger than life advantage over his opponent. This should not be repeated.

You're right bout all the characters having a chance of being unockable, kitana, was in prison, and Konquest mode, but also remember that, the story line goes, she was kidnapped by the dragon king, thats why sindel, is in thins to free her daughter, alongside with her best ally, jade, in the annihalation movie of MK, jade was the same wahy, sindels best ally ^_^

I do verey much Hope Fujin, is playable, he was such a fun character, like baraka, but only got to use him, once, he needs the upgrade, to be in this game, would be nice to see his upgrade, like everyone else has.....

the sub boss, will be playable, also in the interview, he said the mina roaster of chars is 24, in which, they hide the other characters in conquest mode, and he said they also will be playable, when unlocked......anyone got the link, to where sector was in E3 , i wanna see it??
