I would love to see Reptile as super unlockable character or something, but went back to his human form with green ninja outfit, although upgraded etc with more detail.
Even if Reptile isn't in this game I can live with that, as long as somehow in the next MK game they bring Reptile back as a regular character with his old look... from what I have seen every Reptile fan prefers how Reptile looked back in MK2/UMK3.
One super unlockable I would love to see is Kintaro... Although I highly doubt it :(

Shao Kahn would be the ultimate super unlockable.He could return to take his position as the ruler of the outworld.His weapon could be the war hammer, as in Mk3.

As far as everyone knows Kintaro is only found in Konquest mode, and there's really no reason to believe he's anywhere else in the game. People keep saying because someone is in Konquest mode they're in the game, but they're really just over analyzing it as you meet every character in MK past and present in Konquest.
As for Smoke you've probably already seen a screenshot of him and not realized it. He's the one with a helmet kind of like Sub-Zero's exxcept he's all invisible except for some gloves and a ninja suit.

-mavado is dead, and i dont know why
-reptile is the dragon king (it makes sense if you look at his ending in deadly alliance)
-and nitara and frost are NOT going to be back as playable characters, at least, but im sure they'll be in konquest somewhere

well from what i think mavado is dead cause he lol stole kabals hookswords and kabal got the back and took his coat repitle is the dragon king cause it does make sense and nitara aint in the game cause well i dunno y but i think frost is dead or eternally frozen or some shit like that

Yes Liu Kang is confirmed, hes in the Hotaru bio video.

Does anyone know for sure if Kitana is returning in MKD?

It doesn't look like Kitana will be playable. She may be a super unlockable, though. She was killed, but now she's rumoured to have been resurrected and serving as The Dragon King's bodyguard.

On this post itself i believe, if you look at hotaru's finisher where he grabs the guys leg and flails them around slamming them on the gorun, you'll notice he's doing it to liu kang. The post is somewhere on her,e but i'll be damned if i know how to search for stuff or see what threads i posted in, i probly wont even find this thread cuz i dunno if we can check all the threads we posted in, if not that sucks cuz i can never remember, i posted a lot and asked people to message it to me here so I can know for sure, my e-mail is the same as this name just add @hotmail.com to it. But the post had every character listed, showed screenshots of their costumes and some of their alternates, it had bios for some people, and then little animated gifs for known fatalities and hara kiris and hotaru's shows liu kang getting a finisher by him. I had no problem finding it before but now i cant.

According to the post I was a little disappointed that Kung Lao will not be in the game. I thought that his character was defined in Dead;y Alliance and could have been more further developed in Deception.
