apologies in advance if a thread is already posted regarding this but i couldnt find one.

the early music for mk, such as mk 3 and trilogy along with the movie really fits the bill for what those games are and were. how will th music fit and what would you include. i still feel good everytime i hear the armoury song or the tune from the dead pool arena, it fills me with nostalgia and creates a real sense of purpose when fighting.

i think that the music, no disrespect to mr forden, has in a way slipped from what it was. the falling cliffs was a good addition but there isnt anything really notable of late, though the announcer voice seems to have improved to become a more darker, deeper and threatening vocal.

how hard is it to revisit those past days when the music was as powerful as the arena or the fighter?

I do hope they improve the music for the games. I'd like them to bring back the classic graveyard and hell themes. I'd also like to hear some recognizable DC themes. Granted, stuff like the John William's Superman theme is a bit unsuitable for a fighting game, but I could see a remix of the Batman movie theme fitting in well enough, and the stuff from the Dark Knight would fit as well (though I'm not sure they'd have the rights to use them).

I like the music in MK, always have. So, dark and appropriate but anywho I like the music so far in the demos of MK8. Sounds awesome

dan forden is a musical god. i like what he's done so far, along with the others who helped compose tracks recently. no changes necessary.

I know this sounds crazy. But they should get Power5000 to do a video for the game. They can do that song (This is what happens when worlds collide) It could be something you unlock in the game

I guess they decided to go another route. Really a shame, cuz I agree that the music use to be really powerfull. I remember the character selection screen from MK 1 and MK 2. It use to have that dark asian feel. Something lost in the last games, not only music wise but also in the overall game. They should bring that back, because it creates a much better (dark) athmosphere then some modern instrumental rock music when you play the game.
