I spotted a few storyline inconstincies in the opening trailer. Liu Kang and Kung Lao were supposed to compete in the Outworld tournament because once they got home, they found that Outworld had slaughtered their brothers. Instead, it would appear that they never escaped the island in the first place, they got sucked into Outworld once it started to crumble, but who knows? They'll work it out, I guess, since one of the workers already brought up the fact that Shang Tsung would attack the temples.
Also, Kung Lao was in the first tournament? SWEET! I wonder what other little tidbits they'll let us in on in this game.
Other than that, this game looks AWESOME. I drooled watching it. Can't wait to see it.

Your comp.
I didn't have much faith in this game when I heard about it. I was even bummed that they seemed to be getting away from the fighting game genre. In spite of all that though, this game looks great, especially that CG intro.
The only thing I find wrong here is that they're whipping out the cool outfits now. Reptile looks awesome, but he could have easily looked like that in MKDA, assuming he has no reason to hide his tail.

Yeah, but remember the golden rule of the fighting games: They are retroactive
Probably in MK: Shaolin Monks they say that the Tarkata's attack into the Shaolin Temple was before the end of MK1, and for this reason Kung Lao went to the tournament in search of revenge. In MK2, the game it's raised like a tournament, but really wasn't a tournament in any moment, and neither Liu Kang or Kung Lao faced Shao Kahn in MK2 (that said Tobias for many years ago). This also explains how Goro arrives at the Outworld after to be defeated by Liu Kang (because he defeated Goro in Outworld). The only doubt if the MKTeam remember that Sonya & Kano were captured in Outworld, or simply Kano escaped and Sonya (this time, with the help of Jax) travel to the Outworld to catch the Black Dragon member...
Anyway, the game FU**IN' RULZ... but... WHAT THE FUCK IS THE DEMON WHO LIU KANG TRIES TO FIGHT?!!! xD

Remember that this game is based in MK2, and Reptile not yet had de-evolved to the MKDA state/look.

Wow ! I'm actually interested in the game. Not only that, but maybe the fighting engine of MK7 might totally rock.

Gee, there may be some major retconnage in this game. Ah, I HATE when fighting games do that.
Because, if Tobias did say that, then Vogel changed it up. Because Liu Kang won 4 victories, meaning he kicked every boss's ass from MK1-MK4. Eh, hopefully they'll make it work out. MK doesn't seem to be the type of fighting game that retcons TOO much stuff.

Screw Ocarina of Time, Unreal, and all that other shit.......this is THE GAME to get.
Everything is great, from graphics to gameplay. Hah, it's "flawless". I wish Raiden had his own game instead, though.
And I wish Tobias would come back. Can't have Noob without the Saibot.

Was it just me or am I seeing things. I thought I saw Kung Lao decapitate someone. Am I dreaming or was that real? Because it was fucking tight.
Wow, that intro was amazing!!!!
I really cant wait for this game. It looks like its really going to be THE bomb of the year. The gameplay and fighting system is superb!!! I really hope its as great as it looks.
The game looks AMAZING!!!!!
Also, I cant believe NO ONE has seen SONYA and KANO in the intro battle! Its very clear that there is only one single blond haired person fighting against a male who is wearing white clothes....all white.
Look carefully after Kung Lao (in the intro fight) throws his hat and decapitates a Tarkatan, behind him you can see Sonya facing Kano.

Ah, I saw Kano and Sonya. If anyone wants to see them, pause it at 0:24 and you'll see a blonde chick in what looks like grran camoflage (sp?) pants fighting a dude all in white with what looks like a bright red thing on a strap (looks exactly like Kano's first costume). Dude, you have a seriously good eye. lol It's cool that they stuck Sonya and Kano in there. I'm really pleased with that!
