NEVER before seen Green character with giant SHIELD hidden in old Presentation Vid?

I had seen this before but I forgot to post it.
You know that video Presentation that features a very cool movie fight between Baraka and Sub-Zero? The one were Baraka gets frozen and later destroyed (while frozen) by the Grinder Fatality? (The entire vid is 8:08 minutes long)
Well, I’m really sorry but I just cant take pics from the Windows Media player, they wont work, but PAUSE at:
***1:27 time.
You will notice a screen divided in 4 parts with the dragon logo in the middle. Look at the second screen, from the first row, to the right. It has young Shujinko speaking to what seems to be a green warrior with a giant shield.
****1:30/1:31 time.
You will now notice young Shujinko ready to battle this strange character. And you can perfectly see he/she is hold a giant SHIELD.
I don’t know but it doesn’t look like anyone we have seen so far. I dont think its Hotaru neither cause he doesn’t use any giant shield.
Could this be one of the super secrets?

I would agree with you all, but I don't remember Hotaru's alternate outfit having white hair on the back of the helmet. Shield I can see as an addition, but I remember black straps, not white hair.

I think this is just one of the various characters you meet throughout Konquest. Nothing more. There is one part where you meet a fat lady. Do you think that's a secret character? These different characters make the Konquest mode more exciting and realistic.

if you look how he is holding the sword he is holding it different than hotaru. the player in the vid is reverse gripping his sword.

Well, there's speculation that people have 3 costumes. This could be Hotaru's third.
Or it could be like Raiden. We've seen some Konquest models are different from their in-game ones.

Look at his hair though. It's tied back in a ponytail and is white, it could very well be Hotaru. This does take place before MK1, and you do go through different realms, so it could be in the Realm of Order that Shujinko finds him.

It's hotaru... it's the same armor...
Who knows about the shield? Maybe it's for onquest only... maybe it's on his costume (we never really saw it full body)..

It's Hotaru, they probably changed his weapon to a sword and shield because his weapon was similar to Sindel's. I don't think they would have two characters share the same weapon. Sindel uses the spear for one of her fatalities, so Hotaru is the one who gets a weapon change, while Sindel keeps the spear.

this was all discussed on the eve of midway gamers day. odds are its just someone you meet in konquest. there are red guards and corpse people running around, too...

Maybe they just edited the Hotaru model a little so they could use it again as a different character in Konquest. That's what I think at least.

morons..its hotaru. are you really that freakin blind? its not havik or raiden. look at the costume. its hotarus. it doesnt have the flags in the back, but he has a shield.
why the hell do you assume and speculate so much over stupid shit?
