Smoke does look evil with the mask and all. Hopefully he is still Subby's ally, cause Smoke and Subby being friends was a good thing.

Smoke probably is good though, just both him and Subby look more menacing with their new looks.

Anways, thx for the info. And it seems most of you got your wish of having a character that looks like Pai-Mei (sp?) from Kill Bill. I'm glad OXB got this info and not any other magazine. however I would have liked to see MKD on the cover.

I like the way Sub and Smoke look. They've been known as bad-asses through out the series, this is just building on that principle. Smoke especially looks scary. this might sound kind of weird, but I hope a can unlock some concept sketches of Smoke in the game. Why? Because usaully the concept sketches look way cooler than their 3D counterparts look at Soul Calibur for some examples, especially Inferno.

how about that new render of raiden? he looks much more like carlos and not lame lambert movie raiden that mk5 emulated. the lightning and the look of his face/eyes is much more akin to mk1 which is a huge thumbs up. i also hope darrius is what gamespot thought was jax as i dont want jax terd back.

Just to clear up something: we've never heard of Havik before, but we've seen Damashi. He was that envoy for the Elder Gods in the video showing off Konquest, shown just after E3. Then, he was just a floating cloud of white stuff. And it is Hotaru, not Notaru.

Very interesting stuff. I must say I was a bit surprised to see Scorpion and Sub-Zero turn up as eachother's foes... I though they'd put that behind them as of MK4. Then again, I could understand them not liking eachother, even if they've called a truce. :)

I haven't seen the pics of Darrius and Shujinko yet, but it all sounds good... and regarding Scorpion being one of Shujinko's foes, I bet that'll be part of the Konquest storyline. I also think that we shouldn't assume a character is playable only because they're mentioned in someone's bio... just because the names Havik and Damashi pop up, there's no guarantee they'll be playable.

He looks like a black Gordon Freeman doing bad Mortal Kombat cosplay. First of all, the costume looks like the bastard child of Scorpion's and Noob's MKD outfits... but what really ruins it for is the sunglasses. What were they thinking?! It looks ridiculous, and completely out of place. Why don't they give Baraka a skateboard and Nighwolf a Power Glove while they're at it.... *sigh*
Hopefully he will get a decent alternate outfit.

Shujinko on the other hand looks good. I agree with whoever said this is what Bo' Rai Cho should've looked like. He looks just like an old kung fu master should.

Not putting any emphasis on color or anything, but Darrius looks white to me. If you look at the scan of mileena her skin looks even darker than his. Personally I dont care, either way though I wish he would just loose those sun-glasses and he'd be perfect.

I wouldn't place too much stock in how the enemies are listed. I strongly suspect, as someone mentioned before, that Sub and Scorp being listed as enemies is more a historical reference than any current enmity between them.

The same could be true for Shujenko -- With the Konquest mode pretty much being his whole life, he could have met and become enemies with Scorp at any point between ages 13 and 60 -- including possibly being Scorp's enemy when Scorp was a human with the Shirai Ryu, which would be interesting as all hell.

Another possibility would be since Shujenko was supposed to be questing for something from the Elder Gods, and Scorpion now may have some connection to them, their enmity may stem from that.
