it's just early development... all part of the programing process for the game... the first avatar and fighting styles etc will be used as place holders for every character and so on with just about everythign else like that so they can go on with important details elswhere and not have to finish every character detail before they can move on to other important details of the game... it's a time saver.... nothing is final until the game is being shipped...

First of all, I'd like to point something out. Why would they make 2 renders of the same character? Renders, which are normally used for promotional reasons (magazines, websites, advertisments) are usually much better looking than the in game models. So they use those to hype the game up. Anyways, my point is this: Usually when they make renders they will do it with the characters primary costume, as you will see it first and most often. Secondly Noob's render has already been shown so it makes little since for them to have a render of his third outfit. Skab is a character in the game. In the trailer he just has Noob's attributes as he is in early development. Skab and Noob are completely different, this is just a little mix up with an early beta version of the game.

...I think THIS is one of the best parts of any new MK game that comes out. The theories, the hypotheses, so forth.

I'm starting to wonder if these things aren't carefully orchestrated and planned by Midway in order to cause dischord among the online MK fanatics.

There should have been an X-Files episode about this. Mulder would have had a field day.

In fact, I'm sure that once the game comes out, we'll come into the knowledge that half the screens have been cleverly faked, Skab is Reiko's animated corpse, Noob's first alternate is actually Smoke, his first costume is a new character, a C.I.A superspy, and Noob himself is now dead.


Ok, seriously, all joking aside, it can be easily summed up that these are relatively early screens and videos. We don't know what's what, and in all fairness, won't until October.

Until then, let's just keep an open mind, accept all possibilities, welcome inside sources, and blame everything on the Cigarette Smoking Man.

If it puts Noob, is Noob, because Noob is a fighter already well-known, unlike all the other examples that you have put.

Whatever to all of you, guess we just wait about six months to see. Or at least a week or two. I don't trust those foreign mags anyway. Of course there are going to be pics of different with some different avatars and sharing fighting styles. The game is still in development. Its not like you can just copy and paste this stuff I'm sure they try different styles for each character to see which would seem to go best. Enough of this non-SPOILER crap.

At this stage of production, the reliability of the name beneath the life-bar is next nothing.

In MKDA, Hsu Hao had "Khan" under his lifebar. This led some people to believe Khan transformed into a chinese guy (with a funny hat, and a funny pacemaker). That obviously didn't happen.

As said before, most of the deception pics and trailers are from an old stage of developement.

As long as Noob continues to look mysterious as he does in this pic, im happy.

I think all this "Spoiler" crap is all a deception within itself. Until E3 (maybe not even there either) we won't know anything REALLY abt. the game except that: Sub Zero, Scorpion, Mileena, Ashrah, Kenshi, Ermac, Noob Saibot, Baraka, Sindel, Nightwolf, Hotaru, and the Dragon King are in it, as well as another female (that HASN'T been confirmed who she is!!!) and a possible pics of Quan Chi and Bo Rai Cho. Until we see actual VISUALS (we can't declare anything - we've been told things that keep contradicting themselves for quite some time now) Even the visuals maybe faque or taken out at the last minute; my point nobody knows anything except the creators and they're not going to tell us until they are ready to.

Hsu Hao was originally named Kublai Khan - just like Malvado became Mavado, and Muchacha became Sindel - he never had anything to do with Shao Kahn.

Actually, they were going to name him Kublai Khan (H in different position than in Shao Kahn), but because of the name similarities, they changed his name to Hsu Hao.

I doubt Shao will ever look like Hsu Hao, mainly because many of us have seen SK depicted in artwork without his Skull mask.
