Well It's possible Tanya could have gotten training in other mystical arts, possibly trying to give herself an edge in fights....Gabrielle is very different than her sister....she feels that she should rely only upon her own skill in hand to hand and weapons fighting, to make it through fights. She believes the human body is the greatest weapon.
