They wouldn't just say that, so yeah he is the first Sub and thus is Sub's brother, but they wouldn't kill Sub-Zero though. Revieling to the player that Noob is the first Sub, didn't have any impact on his ending so I believe that's all cannon but not his ending with killing Sub.

Well you have to consider that the younger Sub-Zero is much older than what he was in Mortal Kombat 2 , 3 and 4. The connection between Noob Saibot and Sub-Zero makes some sense since Noob takes control of Smoke, who was a memer of the original Lin Kuei. My belief is that when MK7 comes out, the only thing that happened from MKD concerning Sub-Zero and Noob is that Sub-Zero learns that Noob is his bro.

One thing that poner me is that if Noob is the original Sub-Zero, why doesn't Scorpion attack Noob to prevent this ending from happening (supposing) that it did?

Scorpion probably doesnt know, and even if he did he shouldnt care, since it was Quan chi that killed scorps family and not the first sub zero.

But the original Sub-Zero stilled killed Scorpion. Scorpion probably just doesn't know yet.
Should also be interesting to see how Sareena reacts to this, too.

Well scorps main focus was quan chi but he was with the elder gods and saw quan chi die. since he is dead there isnt a reason for scorp to keep hunting him and he needs a new purpose. the elder gods let scorp see that fight because he is gonna get new purpose from them. scorp is beyond revenge IMO and i hope that he gets a new suit in the new one without the same old hood, ninja swords on back look. he deserves some kind of gold armor that has a ninja feel to it so that he looks like a champion.
anyways back on topic im loving it that noob is his brother and its gonna make the storyline more interesting. now we know that people keep coming back because the one character that didnt (old sub) is back. even with new poweres he is still back. also those renders that steve beran did of noob were phenominal in the krypt. I love the detail put into the eyes and stuff.

Meh, i've been touting the idea of Noob Saibot being the elder Sub-Zero for years...since MK5.org was still in its fledgling stages as a gamers.com board. I think its funny how everyone now thinks its cool, yet when I was posting this exact theory about 4 years ago I was called an idiot. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

i was just about to make a post about noobs ending before i saw this. I am a bit confused. If Noob is the older sub-zero, why does he have different moves(doesnt control coldness) and look different then he used to? The only answer I can come up with to my question is that its an affect from his death. Kind of like lui and Raiden(raiden just kinda got hurt thoough)- Lui is back and looks like a zombie(in original costume) and raidens outfit is much darker and his eyes are glowing red. Due to his death, sub came back as a shadow-like ninja with different ablilites?

I think that with this Q&A will finish clarifying all the doubts:
Q: For what Noob Saibot has diferent special moves that when he has Sub-Zero?
A: Like Scorpion, he becames another "thing"... in the case of Noob Saibot, a powerful demon. Because of that "transformation", his abilities changed, and now he uses another powerful attacks.
Q: But... if the Noob - Smoke endings is canon... they kill Sub-Zero!!
A: The ending can be canon but not totally. This ending is canon because Noob Saibot is the elder Sub-Zero, and probably now is the new ruler of the Netherealm... but very probably, Sub-Zero never confronts him in the Netherealm.
Q: Why Scorpion doesn't go behind Noob (Elder Sub-Zero)?
A: Easy: Scorpion already killed elder Sub-Zero.
Q: But Scorpion returns in MK2 to kill Sub-Zero.
A: Because Scorpions believed that Sub-Zero (his assassin) was still alive... but when Scorpion see that this Sub-Zero wasn't his assassin, don't kill him.
Q: Why before nobody believed this theory and now it's accepted so well?
