noob-smoke, the destruction of classic characters

ive heard from everybody that after they saw a video of noob-smoke that they thought it was awesome, am i the only one who thinks they ruined both characters by conjoining them together and giving them ridiculous fighting styles and costumes?

Yes you are the only one with thinkz they are a destruction to classix. Their new tag team addz a great new twist to the MK world and they chose the perfect characters to do it with. Noob Saibot and Smoke. Sure Noob's stance might seem rediculous but they are still a great match up and i can't WAIT to play as them and fight them.

I’m more then sure I have seen plenty of fans complain about these characters, hating the idea.
IMO, I think its cool, a new twist, its pretty awesome. I think it will work if you give it a chance.
But I do understand how some Noob/Smoke fans must be feeling. sad

I'm very pissed that I can't select Smoke as an individual fighter with three battle stances.
But apart from that, I like how they've combined them. I wonder what kind of a challenge they will present. I can deal with this, but I really do hope against hope that they can be played seperately somehow.
But here's my question: Did you NEED to make ANOTHER topic about this? There are at least ten Noob-Smoke topics made per day. You could have easily brought up your opinion in another one.

I think it;s cool but I gotta wait to play it. I think it great that we finally don't have a big dumb slowe but yet extremely powerful sub-boss.

I'm not going to judge without playing and I don't think that it necessarily ruined the two characters, but I will say that it's......different. If I had the choice, I would prefer them seperate characters but they could, very well, be badass as a team. Only things I don't like are the fact that they are the ONLY tag team and Smoke/Noob don't seem like they go together at all.

I agree. Their look and tag team gimmick is lame in my opinion.

Noob and Smoke have always been quite the shallow characters, so I see nothing blasphemous in what was done. It would've been different if they did it with more significant characters, like Liu Kang and Kung Lao, etc. Noob and Smoke fans should be overjoyed at what was done, as it just thrust their significance 10x higher than it has ever been.

I agree, it's better for both characters. They will be the first tag-team in MK history and I think that's something their fans should be proud of. I'm more a fan of Noob-Saibot and I hope after this he gets the recognition his 'darkness' deserves, so when he seperates himself from Smoke he will come out greater than before.

I am glad they are together.
Wasn't too fussed on them seperately.
Now there is space for someone else, someone better.
I also think I will like these 2 more this way.

i'm with shadaloo on this one.....i'm preying that the two can be seperated...the only way i could see that happening is once they're seperated, both charactars have the same styles...noob has smoke's style and monkey... and like wise with smoke....and then just throw them a suitable weapon....hell...i'd be happy with that....but i'm sure most of their moves will be conjoined so.....blah

I like the idea, I hate the characters it's been applied on. Shang Chi is better than Noob Smoke and makes more sense. Both characters fighting along side each other. It's really stupid and makes no sense at all, both characters have no relationship together whatsoever.

I've also heard from everyone about these Noob-Smoke threads. It's been talked to death. Some like it, some done, and some want to wait and see. ENOUGH WITH THE NOOB-SMOKE THREADS. THEY ARE DONE, OVER, KA-PUTT. Unless you have any new info, stop posting new threads about Noob-smoke.

I think it kicks a** how they combine them but I'm still wondering if their gonna have them as 2 seperate characters also. If anyone knows e-mail me or just reply to this haha. Brown it's me, you should know, just so if you happen to read this haha

I think it's stupid as hell to screw up Smoke and Noob like that. Let alone screw over the fans who wanted a complete Smoke and Noob.
I wanted Smoke to have 2 styles and a weapon along with Noob. Now they only have 1 style each and so far no weapon. I think Boon just couldn't/didn't try to come up with another fighting style for each and a weapon.

You make a good point; this idea would've been more appealing if they would have applied it to Shang Tsung and Quan Chi in MKDA to make the boss fight a bit more special.
It's really stupid and makes no sense at all, both characters have no relationship together whatsoever.
