Nightwolf is an interesting character, he is quite original and distinguishes himself from the other kombatants. He was one of the most interesting characters in MK3. He storyline hasn't been that dense until now but I think he will survive the Armageddon so there still is plenty of time for him to be further developed. His lone wolf ways are really impressive and he shouldn’t change his attitude even if he finds some new allies.

I don’t know whom he might confront in MKA, but I don’t think this is of great relevance. I too think he will use his powers facing Armageddon.

I think in the future MK games possible allies for him would be:

#1 Ermac, this would be quite an interesting alliance, Ermac is pretty much a lone wolf too and Ermac’s connection to the spirit world is obvious and Nightwolf as a shaman is also in direct link with the souls of the fallen, so we have a common point between the two. They could both face a great vision and together embark on a quest to bring the souls back to rest.

#2 Kenshi, they are both symbols of their cultures and they might unite in order to protect their cultures and ways of life. They are both great warriors and might consider a journey of knowledge into the worlds.

#3 Kung Lao might also be an ally, but I would rather see them both team up to train the new warriors and maybe have one great last battle against the MK8 boss and subboss .

Does anyone else see Nightwolf getting too big an ego(because of sin eating abilities) and becoming a huge bad guy. I mean cmon its all there. Strong warrior, lone wolf, has potential to become super powerful with sin eating.

It seems very likely too.

"As you can see from my sig, I'm a nerdy Nightwolf fangirl. Not only does he have the best name ever (wolves are my favorite animal), but he's a Native American and...well...Native Americans are hot."

Not all of them. I know a guy named Jonny Moody who *claims* he is native american but he's white as a ghost and 10 times as FUGLY. Didn't mean to step on your toes its just any opportunity to brutally insult certain people I know, I always take them.

I think it would be nice to see Nightwolf team up with a couple people because he has a story that has almost nothing to do with the tournament. I am a fan of Nightwolf and I am saying that I think it would be nice to Nightwolf win the tournament or something.

He is not a bad guy even though his MKD costumes made him look bad. The weapon does not make him look bad it only makes him look cooler.

Imagine Nightwolf and Ermac teaming up.

Nightwolf will probably stay a good guy but do one or two things a bit wrong. I reckon all the good guys will turn on him thinking he's a bad guy and kill him even though his intentions were actually good. So therefore he wont make it to next gen I dont think. I don't like or dislike Nightwolf. He's just one of those characters I play when I get stuck fighting Kahn on Trilogy.

Well, now we move on to the queen of Kombat, Queen Sindel!
After Shao Kahn killed King Jerrod and merged Edenia to Outworld, Sindel was forced to become Shao Kahn’s bride. This drove her nuts, and she decided that she’d be better off dead; however, when she did kill herself, Shao Kahn imprisoned her soul and prevented it from ascending to the Heavens, keeping it as a trophy over King Jerrod, and as a reminder of his power to Princess Kitana. Almost 10 000 years later, Shao Kahn wanted Shang Tsung bring her back as an evil being, but in order to do this, he needed Shinnok to taint the soul, so Shang Tsung gave Quan Chi the location of the Sacred Map of Elements that would lead to Shinnok’s amulet, and in exchange, Shinnok would reincarnate an evil Sindel onto Earthrealm, and allow Shao Kahn to step through the inter-dimensional gates between Earthrealm and Outworld and finally let him take over Earthrelam.
Once she came back, either one of two things happens... She both receives visions of her true past with Jerrod and Kitana, and remembers Edenia before the take-over, or Kitana herself reminds Sindel of her true past before Shao Kahn came into the picture; I think that the second one is the outcome generally accepted, but I can’t find anything that definitely points to that scenario. In any case, Sindel left Shao Kahn and helped the Earth warriors defeat him.
Later on, after Edenia is freed, Tanya brings Quan Chi to Queen Sindel with a gift, and the gift turns into a portal to the Nethrealm, and it opens allowing Shinnok and his men to be free and go to war with the Elder Gods in the Heavens. Sindel is captured during this time, and is eventually saved when Shinnok is defeated.
Afterwards, Edenia becomes flooded with Tarkatan warriors and Sindel is once again captured and held prisoner under Onaga’s rule. At this point, Kitana is a slave under Onaga, and guards Sindel specifically, and since Sindel is such a softy, she refuses to attack her own daughter; thankfully for her, Jade had no problem in kicking Kitana’s ass.
After her release, she and Jade search Outworld and Edenia for information on how to stop Onaga and hopefully save her daughter from his control. In her ending, she does find a way to not only defeat Onaga, but also restore Reptile to his "normal" self, but since MKA's not been released yet, one can't tell if it's canonical.
That’s her story in the most basic form, and now for my thoughts... I'm not a huge fan of Sindel and don't have much to say about her, but I’m thinking that one of two things will happen; either she will die and Princess Kitana will become her successor and be referred to as Queen Kitana, or she will live on for years to come ruling Edenia. I have a stronger feeling in her death though, since between her and Kitana, Kitana’s the bigger favourite and bigger player in the storyline.

now this is one of the weaker female kombatents in my opion and should be killed. Her styles were not good at all in MKD and really MK3 she was only good in a masters hand. It takes far too much time to master her anway.

Her story is also one of the weaker ones she is the queen of edenia hates her husband shao kahn(i think she does at least) and has a daughter kitana(way more awesome than sindel). hmm not much more tries to save kitana with jade in mkd i think(its been forever since i played as her or jade) and well she should die.

I like how the other guy mentioned kitana taking over. Thats the most likely fate for her.I mean she was 2 fugliest next to sareena(worst char ever. even then mokap.

Kill her Ed Boon and save me.
While Sindel's not on my favorites list, I don't hate her and while she hasn't been in too many games, I feel that in case, she must die for the sake of the story. How? Well, she might have to kill herself to kill Shao Kahn or something... but I really see her sacrificing herself to save Kitana and ultimately passing the title of Queen to her. Either way, I don't see Sindel surviving.

If Kitana is now freed from Onaga's control. (And chances are that she is) I do see Sindel probably trying to stop Shao Kahn once and for all. Other than that, I'm not the foremost expert on Sindel's story, so I've got no real concrete opinions

I like Sindel, but she hasn't had that much of a story since she hasn't been in many games.

I would like to see her and Kitana take down Shao Kahn in MKA. I'm not sure what else I'd like her to do. She'll most likely die in this game so that Kitana can take her place as the new Queen of Edenia. I think there could've been more done to her story had the storyline of this generation continued on some more.

It would be nice to see a backstory game that focuses on Edenia and characters like Sindel, Jerrod, etc.

Well, that's all I have to say here.

Using sindel as a playable character i was never too big on her.

But storyline wise she is one of the best characters around, she is linked to quite alot of crap that goes on even without her own knowledge, her death i believe is on its way, but i can see her holding her thrown as a none combatant in edinia until she is later overthrown in yet another MK storyline or maybee even this one.

MK3 was the oddball game for the 2D generation. Introducing a bunch of...let's say "unique"... characters, Sindel was one of the many new faces. Although she was probably one of my favorite newcomers. Her floating abilities were so cool at that time because nothing has ever been seen like that before. And let's not forget the hairwhip... Since then she has been a rather 50/50 character. You either love her or hate her. I guess I'm not really in love with her, but she is pretty cool.

I believe MKA will take place right after her and Jade visit Onaga's tomb. There she transfers his soul back to his original body, and bam, you have why Reptile is back. They leave together with Kitana and Reptile's unconscious body back to Edenia. Shortly after, Onaga flies away in his original self, and their problem is once again returned.

Back at Edenia, they interrogate Reptile for information, seeking anything that the Dragon King could've possibly left imprinted on his memory. Reptile could reveal something important (although what that could be I have no idea), and they release him and he goes to deal with Nitara. Of course, when the true Kitana returns, everybody finds out Mileena is an imposter. Her and Kitana go at it, and she escapes. Sindel sends Rain after Mileena, as Kitana has got more important matters. Like the fight against Kahn's returned forces. Bo' Rai Cho's men successfully cut back the Dragon King's forces, but they were not strong enough to take down Kahn as well. Sindel figures it's time to accquire some reinforcements.

Sindel, along with Jade, trek out in the wastelands of Outworld, searching for the Centaurs. Their race, if any, would be willing to help take down Kahn and his Shokan allies. Motaro, who was rescued and recovered, reluctantly agrees to assist them. However, he has a hard time dealing when he discovers that Sindel has also requested Kintaro, Sheeva, and a small band of rebel Shokans to help also. They set aside their differences...for now. She leaves Kitana and Bo' Rai Cho to the strategies, but Sindel has bigger problems on her mind.

Taven and Daegon, to sons of Edenia's God (or so I assume) have gone off to challenge the might of Blaze, a strange elemental that has spoke of an apocalypse - an armageddon. What will come of this she has no idea. But she a has debt to settle if the end is coming near. Shao Kahn has made her life a living hell. He would pay for his crimes.

Sheeva tells of a secret passage that leads into Kahn's palace, and along with her, Kintaro, Kitana, and Jade, the reach his holdout in Outworld. However, Onaga also has the same plans. They both reach the same point at the same time. Jade sneaks off to see how their progress is going. Goro confronts the group, killing Sheeva for her betrayal. Kintaro and Goro face off while Sindel and Kitana scramble for Kahn's throne room. Along with Mileena, after Rain had a long conversation with her about what she should truly do, they kill Kahn as one force. However, it is a strong price to pay, as Sindel succumbs to death in the process. Kitana takes the Edenian throne and weds Rain and the rule until the next dictator tries to overthrow them.

Basically Sindel is one of the few characters I can see clearly what will happpen to them. Sure, not all of what I have written will come true, but many fans probably would like to see something like this happen.

The fact that she HASNT had much of a story leads to believe she isnt very important to the continuation of what will be carried over, so I think it was an implication that she was about to get cut when they brought her unique ass back into play (with not much of a visual revamp) They didnt really put a lot into her, so I think she's about to go....but passing on the throne to Kitana would be a nice change of pace, give the makers an opportunity to also take fan-skank out of play for a few games while she gets things in Edenia in order, giving room for new characters....(yeah im big on visuals as you can tell lol)....but Sindel....we love you and your bad dye job, but hit the road granny, you're outdated....

Sindel

Sindel has so much untapped potential in her she seems so out of place amongst the countless one-dimensional ninjas and heroes. She's the queen of Edenia. She's a powerful sorceress and she is so lovingly worshipped by the people of Edenia. In Shao Kahn's case, they worship him out of fear alone, with Sindel, her people love and respect her and it makes a very welcome change from the countless evil rulers in games and movies today. Despite her gothic, dark appearence Sindel is a good character. Deception also proved her love for her daughter when she journeyed to Outworld to find and confront Onaga for her. Whether she found him or not has yet to be seen. She has huge potential to become one of the biggest heros in the game, her ending in MKD had her kill Onaga but the difference between her ending and other character's who took out Onaga like Shujinko and Scorpion is that rather than fight him in kombat where he would have easily (well not really easily, Sindel and Jade are fabulous warriors) taken them out, SIndel used her head. I wonder why the text was written in Edenian or a text similar. I was very sceptical of Sindel becoming good for Deception because I had only ever seen her evil and she looks evil with her eye make up, lack of pupils and banshee hair but since Deception it's her MK3 look I can't get used to. She makes a much better hero than a villain. In Armageddon Sindel should take out Kahn. Kitana of course should help, she's earned it but Kahn belongs to Sindel for what he did to her. I don't think Sindel should die. She just has so much potential, so many unexplored areas. She shouldn't be killed. Not now after Deception. I loved Sindel in MK3 but before Deception I would have killed her because I didn't think she could make a comeback after that but she did and she did it brilliantly. She was low-tier in Deception but that doesn't mean she'll always be. She still was very fun to use in Deception and could be very deadly if you knew how to use her. So I am seriously hoping she'll return. Rule Edenia and God Save the Queen.

I like Sindel, but I think she'll find her death in MKA. With that, Kitana will become the Queen of Edenia and her storyline will can finally go ahead.

I can see both mother and daughter team up to finish Shao Kahn. Rain and even maybe Mileena can help them. From this point, Shao Kahn would kill Sindel and Kitana, full of anger, would destroy him. Then she come back to Edenia and become the Queen.

Another possibility is if Shao Kahn does the offensive move. He leads the shokan to attack Edenia and Sindel stay there protecting her realm, maybe with Sheeva's help, while Kitana go after her step-father. From this scenario, I'd like to see Tanya killing Sindel. The queen would be tired after her fight with the shokans and Tanya would see a chance to take Edenia for herself, which would develop a rivalry between her and Kitana.

Although I'm almost sure that Sindel will die, I can se a slightly chance to see her surviving. If it happens, there are two possibilities for her: She and Kitana rule Edenia, which would become a paceful place again. If so, both retire. Or Kitana is killed by Shao Kahn and Sindel kills him. With that she come back as the Queen of Edenia, but more strict and unhappy, since she had seen her only daughter dying in front of her. Well, as a Kitana fan, it was hard to think about this ending for her.

Sindel portrayed her role as a queen very well, but it's time to pass the torch. She should have a happy ending with Jerrod in the Heveans (cliché, I know, but she deserves it). And Kitana should finally rule Edenia which is her right.

He could... maybe in his ending for this game, after John Vogel stated: "At THIS point, Liu Kang exists in two forms" An ambitious statement when you examine the possible outcomes of this storyline.

But yeah... I really don't want Kitana to marry Rain. But anyway... back to Sindel. I just said what I felt had to be said.

There are a few ideas that I have for Sindel:

1- Sindel and Kitana fight together to take out Shao Kahn, and they both live. No change to the throne of Edenia, just that Shao is gone. Sindel and Kitana both retire (from the game), and Jade becomes more of a main player in MK8.

2- Sindel and Kitana fight Shao Kahn, but Sindel dies in the battle. Kitana defeats Kahn, becomes Queen of Edenia, and Jade becomes leader of the armies.

3- Sindel and Kitana fight Shao Kahn, and Sindel sacrifices herself to save Kitana. Kitana escapes the battle without killing Shao Kahn, and uneasily assumes the role of Edenian Queen. Shao returns as the main threat in MK8.

4- Sindel, Kitana, and Jade confront Shao Kahn and Mileena (this is assuming that Jade has already defeated Tanya). Sindel and Jade battle Kahn while Kitana quickly disposes of Mileena. Kitana rejoins the battle, and the three take out Kahn. Sindel hands the throne to Kitana and becomes her advisor. Jade takes over Kitana's position as head of the armies.

5- Same as ending #4, but with a twist: During the fight with Shao Kahn, all appears lost for Sindel, Jade, and Kitana. They're tired, and Shao is not showing any signs of weakness. However, little do they know that another presence is in the battleground. Shao gets ready to hit them with an energy blast, when a sword goes right through his chest, from behind. Shao writhes in agony and falls over dead to reveal the one who killed him... Rain.

Also i think since she hates Kahn i could see her having an affair with Shang Tsung. that would be the biggest twist ever.

Or Sindel and Shao Kahn turn on Kitana. On the count of they hate each other so much that they love each other.
