She does hate Shao Kahn. Her having an affair with Shang Tsung would be stupid and illogical.

Sindel is done. Her storyline has no where else to go. I agree that she should be killed off and have kitana take the throne.

Anyhow Sindel should not survive Armageddon she's got nothing to do...

Sindel is an interesting character, not very original, but at least an interesting stereotype, the undead queen, she isn't really undead but she is resurrected and this reflects upon Edenia itself. When Sindel died Edenia fell and when she was resurrected a new age was sparked for her realm.

I don't know if she should survive Armageddon or not, it all depends how her story is going to continue if it is to continue. Here are the options for her in my opinion

#1 The most obvious option is a confrontation with Shao Khan together with her daughter and Jade. A very cliché option that offers no real storyline satisfaction, a predictable and cheap solution for a large number of characters. After she defeats Shao Khan it is most likely Kitana would take her throne and she would retire content that her realm is in good hands.

#2 A more interesting option would be for her to try and turn Shao Khan to the good side. In a nostalgic state she decides to spare Shao Khan and tries to convert him by reminding him of his past, this is obviously in a strong relation to the fact that Shao Khan was said to have been similar to Raiden a long time ago. The confrontation with the Deadly Alliance may also help him turn.

#3 A very unexpected ending would be that during a final fight with Shao Khan together with Kitana and Jade she decides to join her husband for some weird reason and attack her daughter, however this has already been seen so it isn’t that original either.


All in all I don’t expect Sindel to continue after MKA, I don’t think she’ll die I’d rather expect her to retire.

I'd rather see her retire than die as well. I like her and wouldn't like her to die. Perhaps they could do something with her story in the future.

As for Sindel trying to get Shao Kahn to the good side...I'm not sure if that'll work.

I think what is meant by Shao Kahn once being like Raiden was simply that he was an advisor.

I really doubt Sindel knew what kind of person he was before Shao Kahn took power in Outworld. I mean, we don't know how far their history goes back with each other and how old they both are.

i think sindel will still kill shao khan but one of her enemys will kill her in a bit.

Something I think would be interesting. What if during the fight Shao Kahn kills Kitana? Of course, Sindel could still keep fighting and then kill Shao Kahn with Jade's help. Afterwards, Sindel would discover Kitana's broken body. Can you imagine the shock of having your own child killed by someone who cheated you in life?

That would hurt quite a bit, on to which it would drive someone insane. Bear with me here...

Jade would see how miserable Kitana is and try to comfort Sindel. But Sindel, in her anger, would attack Jade. Jade, being too shocked to fight back, would die from Sindel's fury. And after that, realizing what she did, Sindel would take her own life.

Ironic and sad at the same time. In Armageddon there is a dark theme, and I believe the death of the three Edenians will fit the ever so tragic theme regarding the Seventh MK game.

Of course, we could also go with the typical destroy Shao Kahn and Sindel retire, and Kitana take her place as Queen of Edenia, but if the ending above came true, it would certainly be quite a shock, even in my eyes.

Kitana being killed instead of Sindel would be a twist.

As for Sindel killing Jade then herself, I personally think it's a cheap and bad way to get rid of those characters. I see potential for Jade and maybe for Sindel.

Sindel is a great character. I have liked her since the good ol' days of MK3, and my interest in her has not declined. I have always thought she had a fairly decent storyline and has ties with some major characters (Kahn, Kitana etc.) though her role is really not that big.

In regards to her storyline, I think these would be her best options:

Sheeva was once Sindel's personal protector. I believe during this time they developed a close bond. Then, later on, the Shokan and the Edenians worked together to defeat Kahn. Sheeva, being an extremely proud Shokan would not forget how the Edenians, especially Sindel, treated her. Now that Sheeva is back, I could see Sheeva turning to Sindel for help. They both have a common enemy in Kahn and share a bond from the past.

From here, many things can occur... Sheeva may tell Sindel of Goro's treachory. Whether Sindel believes her (she was once my friend and can be trusted) or doesnt (she is a Shokan, why would she betray her prince) is up in the air. Also, along this road, Sheeva may come to tell Sindel of the Shokan's betrayl too late. Goro had already killed Kitana and Sindel is infuriated with the Shokan. Sindel could attack Sheeva, who retaliates. Or maybe (I don't like this one...) Sheeva may trick Sindel and play the insider. She gets Sindel to trust her but is really loyal to Goro.

Another route Sindel's story could go is that the Shokan attack Edenia. Kitana finds out that it was Kahn who turned the Shokan back to the evil side and voes to kill him. Jade is left in control of the Edenian army, Kitana goes to fight Kahn and Sindel is left to look over everything in Edenia. Perhaps when Kitana goes to fight Kahn, she could already find Mileena fighting Kahn (who had just realised that Kahn, not Kitana, was the cause of her bad life). This could tie in with XD84's story of Mileena and Kitana teaming up in desperation against Kahn. In this battle, I can see Kahn and Mileena both dying. Then Kitana, infuriated, joins the Edenians in battle against the Shokan. By now, Sindel is worried about Kitana. She searches, and finds what appears to be both Kahn and Kitana dead (obviously it is Mileena, who is not known to be alive). From here, Sindel may commit suicide again (like she did when her husband died at the hands of Kahn, why not her "daughter") or seek vengeance against all of Kahns minions.

The final, and most obvious, option is that Sindel, Kitana and Jade (might be joined by Mileena and / or Sheeva) all attack Kahn. If Sheeva is there, maybe she can fight with Motaro who will probably be with Kahn again. here, maybe Sindel dies and that leaves Kitana as Queen and Jade as the leader of the army. Maybe both Kitana and Sindel die, leaving Jade to rule Edenia. I have no ideas of how the exact details would go, but it is what lots of people are saying will happen.

Well that is all I can think of from the top of my head. So in summary, Sindel is awsome, but I think it is time for her to step down and Kitana take the throne.

eh, sindels story was never really that great, she died(when u couldn't play her), then came back evil, the became good, its to... everywhere! i think that (i don't care who) someone should kill her and kitana should take place, WITHOUT LU KANG AS A KING!
