But you guys have to realize that the series started dying when MK3 came out. You may have liked MK3, hell, I thought it was great, but most people HATED it. I'm not joking. Ask people who aren't familiar with the series to name MK characers, and the MK3 guys won't be named that much. Mk4 continued MK's fall from grace, but it didn't start it.

I think that 6 returning characters from MK: DA is a bit too low and I think that there'll be more than 24 characters, I'm sure of it. There must be more to this than we might think.

ok im sure kitana is in the game. im not even a big kitana fan so im not just saying this cuz i like her cuz i dont really. but im completely sure shes in.

now for ur list of guys thats gonna be in well i highly doubt sonya, cage, and lao will be in the game, but i really like the chances for tsung. i also believe chi will be in the game and that the DA will continue in deception. i think it will continue but the DA will turn on each other i think cuz will thats what deception means. any ways, for sektor being in the game... well i think he has a chance to be in it. right now i say a 50/50 chance.

I agree with Johnny_Cage_Wins.

I grew up with Mortal Kombat and started playing it when I was 4 back in 1991. I loved all of the classic characters and by classic I mean every single character up to MKII, exept for Noob Saibot, Smoke, and Jade.

Then Mortal Kombat 3 came out....

No Scorpion, No Cage, No Baraka, no Mileena, no Kitana, no Reptile,no RAIDEN and Sub-Zero not in a ninja form...

All of these characters are the ones I grew up with... the true classics.. I was kind of pissed to see them replaced by 3 robots, a guy with a respitory mask fighting, a COP?, a woman who fights with her hair... It was like alot that took away from the classic feeling of Mortal Kombat.

Then they try to redeem themselves by making Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3... When they brought back Reptile and Scorpion and, they created like 5 other guys that looked just like them which took away from their originality. Smoke who was cool in MKII was now just like Scorpion in pretty much every way. Jade came back looking just like Kitana only different color skin, so did Mileena but she always looked like Kitana..

We still haven't seen Cage, Raiden, or Baraka and they are like in my top list so that kind of got me fed up and I dithced Mortal Kombat after Ultimate for a while..

Then Trilogy came and I seen all of the characters that have been missed out and I said to myself that should have been Mortal Kombat 3, so thanks to Trilogy it kind of made me happy and I stuck with Mortal Kombat again..

So I consider myself the Oldschool fan favorite and I bet their are like thousands of others who think the same thing as me...

Anwyay, whats Sub-Zero_7th says is true, I think I feel 24 characters is not much cause only a VERY FEW of classics from MkDA are back.

Its kinda sad that so few of the true classics (playable MK1 only) may not make it to MKD. So far the only true classic confirmed is Scorpion. (Don't yell SUB-ZERO, he is not a true classic. His older brother is and has NOT been confirmed if he will ever return from the dead.) And since so many of them was in MK:DA and so few from that game returning there is no way for all of the surviving true classics to return. Sonya, Rayden, Johnny Cage, and Kano all are true classics, but there is only three slots left. I doubt that all three slots will be given to true classics so only one, two or maybe none of these will appear in MK:D. Kinda makes me hesitant about reserving a copy of the game. I feel that the game should not even be called Mortal Kombat without at least three of the true classics.
