I think Kitana is one of the best female fighters, second to Sonya and probably even with Sindel. I prefer her to Mileena (but we'll see in Deception) and I think she is an MK staple. I say, let her live. I want her in MK7.

How about no? I like Kitana as a character, she does need to sit out a game or two, but she doesn't need to die.

And it's Tanya, not Tania. Sigh.

ayyyy Kitana is great but i agree with you i hate johnny cage and stryker but umm noo she duznt hav to die even though Midway might make it inevitable for her her to die just like lui kang.....but who knows

Even if she did die take in mind that death is a relative thing in the MK universe people die al lthe time and come back. Look at Baraka, Johnny Cage, and now Liu Kang. When a character "dies" in MK it's like they go on a little vacation and then come back.

Kitana was great in MK2.She can be great again,maybe in Deception but if she's not appearing,then maybe in MK7.

Kitana does need to take the next few games off, but not to die completely. If the MK team gives her a makeover like Mileena she might be a good fighter again. I'm glad we are seeing new female blood in MKD. I have always liked female fighters, but most of the old school MK women needed a desperate overhaul. If the old fighters can't be redone I say put in new ones. Keep the game fresh. I'm probably going to get flamed for this, but IMO Scorpion needs to get a new look, or he needs to go. Sub Zero looks really cool in MKD. He has always been my favorite character. Nothing new with him either except his look. If he can't be revamped for MK7 he needs to go too. Hopefully Boon and Co will keep things fresh, or much fresher for MK7. Deception looks awesome don't get me wrong, but time for much needed new blood is here. We have new characters in Deception, but is it enough? Time will tell.

lame!!!! she'll be in mk deception.. she's probaly just getting killed in a few endings.. just like scorpion and countless others get killed off in endings.. i wont believe it till ed boon says it him self..or if its in the starting fmv in mk deception or mk 7..till then she is not dead!!!

They'll probably do with Kitana what they've been doing for years. In one persons ending she's dead in another she's alive.
I agree she should probably sit out a game or two but she should't die. It'd be meaningless, pointless, add nothing to the story and only cheapen her character if they resurrected her.
IMO, if Kitana does die Sonya should go too.

Shut the hell up! Kitana is hands down the coolest female and it wouldn't suprise me if she wound up being a sub boss in deception.

Kitana is one of the best MK characters ever! I think she's great and she has been one of my favourite characters ever since MK2! She kicks ass when you know how to use her well.

Unfortunately, it does look like she will be coming to her end in MKD. Sources are saying she is to die. Given that it'll be in an ending though, it doesn't mean her death is confirmed. The ending might not be used.

I'm so tired of people saying someone needs to die. No one needs to die, cause if they do and they have a big fanbase, they are just brought back. What's the point in that?

Plus, just cause so and so doesn't like them, doesn't mean another so and so doesn't. Many people like Kitana, to kill her off would be as stupid as killing any other character off.

Simeply put, killing characters off for no reason except for maybe a peak in the story is lame. The game is mostly played, not read, so killing off a good playing character for story purposes is just down right lame.

I'd Like to see kitana playable. That way her and Mileena can finall have the Battle I've been waiting for. Or even in mileena's ending have her and kitana battle it out. I Really like the 5 way traingle in Deception between jade/mileena/tanya/sindel and kitana. I hope she's in but if not, eh we got mileena and jade. and kitana would only add to the increase of females in this game. I think this one has the most yet!(besides trilogy of course)

That's highly doubtful. She was never that important, not to mention the fact that she wasn't even in nearly half of the games.

I think Kitana should die too, I know I'm crazy but it would be a really happy ending if after MK7 they both went to the Heavens and lived happily ever after :D

I would like that and they could still be a part of the story line, in some weird MK way.

actually she was in mk2,umk3,mktril,mk gold, mkda.. thats 5 games. she has always been added to a game because fans bitch about her not being in the original ie mk3 and mk4.. ed boon may not like her,but the fans do.. mileena ,jade and tanya were all made because of kitana.. well maybe not jade she was made to be a secret character,so i shouldnt count her i quess..
and im not saying mileena and tanya r kitana clones..

I think they should kill all the new characters that where in mk4 Kai,Shinnok,Reiko,Jarek,Tanya,Fujin, Quan Chi.All ugly worthless fighters that never even made a mark to the mk series there all disgraces.They are easily and enjoyably forgotten.Kitana is a great fighter and has a great look and story shes right up there with subby and scorpion.If they kill her that would be one of the dumbest moves ever.

Who originally posted the "rumour" that she was going to die in the first place? Was it the same person who said that Raiden was going to die?
