What we need, is to reform the conflict in Shujinko. The guy definitely needs to carry something personal, something that makes him more acceptable as a kombatant.
How do i open a new thread about my fictional MK7? Help Me!

Ashrah: I find Ashrah really awkward in the MK universe. I think a cool spin they could put on her story is that she thinks everyone is a demon and therefore, must purify all who cross her! If she's a crazy bitch, she's in... otherwise I could do without.
Baraka: I don't care if he returns or not, he was awfully boring in Deception. He needs new moves and a new look if he returns.
Bo Rai Cho: I don't get why this is one of the developer's favs... he useless.
Dairou: Uninspiried and boring. Reminds me of some MK4 reject.
Darrius: See last description.
Ermac: Ermac should stay. He's got great fighting styles, and a pretty interesting story. However, I'd love to see him in better costumes or even unmasked.
Havik: Havik actually looks good, which is say a lot when you take into consideration what the other new characters turned out like. He's a tad bit overpowered however, but that can be resolved in future installments. Definitely stay.
Hotaru: He looks stupid, sounds stupid and acts stupid. GONE! If he has to come back in a future installment they need to fix his flying kick because it's hilariously busted!
Jade: Jade made a great (and unexpect) resurrection in Deception. I'd love to see her developed more. Her "cut in half" fatality needs to go, because she has a staff... not a sword! It just looks retarded.
Kabal: Kabal was royally botched up in Deception. He had a wicked ending but his fatalities and styles are just garbage to the point that he's boring to fight with.
Kenshi: It's a fact, Kenshi is too similar to Ermac. I prefer Ermac over Kenshi, and wouldn't miss him at all.
Kira: She's really easy to use, but do we really need her? No. I'd rather have Sonya and Kano back. If Kira comes back they need to develop her into her own character, not a glorified palatte swap.
Kobra: He looks too similar to Ken from Street Fighter, it's as simple as that. He has great styles and specials, but his main costume looks awful. Honestly, I'd rather see a more interesting character like Kira have his moveset.
Li Mei: I hated Li Mei in Deadly Alliance, but I've grown to really like her in Deception. Her moves are extremely useful and not overpowered. It doesn't hurt that she has some of the best fatalities in the game! I wanna see her back, but with a spin... like that she's evil or possessed.
Liu Kang: He's been back for only one game as an unlockable and I'm already sick of him. He needs a new look and some new moves... or it's time for him to move on.
Mileena: Mileena must come back! I love the primal, animal quality that she has in Deception. However, why is she so underpowered? I have a feeling that she was ruling during the game testing so they toned her down... because she is the least powerful character in the game!
Nightwolf: There was no need for his return... not to mention that his character design just doesn't look right. Something's off and I can't place it.
Raiden: If Raiden returns I'd like to see another God on the roaster trying to bring him back to good.
Scorpion: He'll be back even though his character is totally unbalanced. They need to address this.
Shujinko: Another case of hapharard character design. His main costume looks stupid and his alt looks to much like the old man from Dead or Alive. Plus, he doesn't even have his own specials
Sindel: I liked Sindel in MK3 and I like her here.
Noob-Smoke: I was never too hot on the team concept. It just seemed out of place in Deception. I'd like see both back, but seperately.
Sub-Zero: Back and hopefully not looking like Shredder.
Tanya: She's a total fucking powerhouse! Anyone can dominate with her, no problem. However, she looks too similar to the other girls, she needs her own design. Her current look reminds me too much of Storm from the X-Men.

Alright! This thread is like so chill, its awesome! Well, u c, i have a lot of opinions about characters returning in MK7. I think its really dumb when they always bring in new characters and then dont use them for the next game (ex: Mavado, Hsu Hao, Kai, Jarek etc), so might as well not even bring in so many new ones. Its obvious that people like the classics, becuz new characters dont really have a huge impact like scorpion, kitana, sub zero etc have. So i think that they shud stick with the characters that people like and that fit in the story, and stop bringin in so many new ones. U inderstand wat im saying? Y bring in new characters if they r not gonna use em again.....and its dumb wen they bring one back then leave them behind and back and forth.........i know its mk......but they need to start getting serious....so i think this wud be a cool roster for mk7
Returning from Deception
Scorpion- DUH!!!!!
Sub Zero: Of course!
Ermac: He shud definately come back! It'll be dumb if they just leave him behind after bringing him back super cool...he shud come back...stop leaving him behind...
Mileena: She is definately a fan favorite and she always fits into the MK world.....like ermac...it'll be dumb if they just leave her behind after bringing her back
Baraka: Same as mileena
Kabal: He wasnt too powerful in deception and he didnt really WOW me....but y bring him back in deception, then leave him behind? I think he shud comeback so that the BLACK Dragon can be strong
Nightwolf: Same as mileena and baraka
Rayden: Of course he'll come back
Sindel: same as mileena....
Ashrah: She had a really interesting story in deception and i really think they shud expand on it.....dont leave her behind
Havik: Hes a really cool evil character
Kenshi: I always liked him since MKDA, except i think they need to give him a deeper story or some new enemies
Kira: I would prefer seeing her instead of Kobra, mainly becuz i wud LOVE to see a cat fight between Sonya and Kira! and i think a kick ass black dragon cud be Kano, Kira and Kabal!
Liu Kang: I think MK needs him.......i havent played with him in deception, but he needs to be in mk
Dairou: I dont really care for him, but he was a new character in deception and we shud give them a chance
Smoke or Noob: One of them shud come back..........
So as u can see, most of the classic characters shud come back becuz it'll be dumb to just leave them behind, and they are fan favorites
Tanya or Jade: U decide? One of them shud of died in deception........i personally think jade shud comeback BUT
OTHER:
Kitana: I would love to see her come back to fight MIleena again......i think it;ll be cool if mileena is in control of edenia as a tyrant, and kitana comes back to try to reclaim it
Sonya Blade: We need the special forces to stop the black dragon! Sonya will most likely definately come back!
Jax: If sonya is back........he shud too...hes WAY better than Darrius
Johnny Cage: hes cool, but he doesnt really have any enemies nor a good story......so they shud bring him back ONLY if they give him a cool story besides winning an oscar
Quan Chi: I have a feeling hes not dead.........
Reptile: Well since the DK will be dead.......wont Reptile be normal now?
Shao Kahn: I think its time for him to be the boss again........
Rain: He'll be a cool returning classic character
NEw CHaracters
Shadow Priest: I ALWAYS WANTed a shadow priest to be a sub boss!!!!!!!! If Shao Kahn returns thanx to havik, i think a shadow priest wud be a cool new character for a sub boss!!!!
So its like wat 26 up there.......i think its a good roster that is sensible.........

Well here is my opinion, not so much a prediction.
Keepers: (In the story line or as a playable character)
Sub - Zero :...he is forever. and the whole i have the dragon kings armor thing helps too.
Scorpion : Scorpion is the most reconized character by far. Commercials etc.
Reptile : Reptile needs to come back. He is awesome and should be included. but he needs to be in human form like his old ninja self.
Raiden : Raiden is the boom diggity.
Lui Kang : Lui Kang, the ultimate fighter. Needs to stay, even though hes uhhh....dead.
Ermac : This guy is an awesome character.
Kenshi : This is also an awesome character. and he can help ermacs story and vice versa.
Quan Chi : He should be added into the roster again, being part of the storyline in deception and being enemies to Sub - Zero and Scorpion.
Shang Tsung : Yea I understand Shang Tsung and Quan Chi died in the starting video vs Onaga. But come on, who doesnt come back from the dead in Mortal Kombat.
Goro : Goro was talked about in MKD and he had his own biography. He should be added to the story line at least, as a general for some army.
Kintaro : Fights with the opposite army of Goro, General for the other army. They fight in a cinema you watch when you get that far.
Sindel : Come back as queen, but becomes assainated during the story line.
Kitana : Takes Sindels place as queen after her death.
Mileena : Kitanas enemy. Trys to take over Kitanas spot as queen by posing and trying to kill her.
Baraka : Always an evil army guy anyway.
Kobra : Come back only for the black dragon story
Kira : This girl has some good fighting styles and should make another appearance in
Kabal : Same
Rain : He is an interesting character that should come back to add more of a backround.
Nightwolf : This guy is finally in the game again. He is a really good addition and should have made an appearance in past games too.
Jade OR Li Mei : I dont care which one, but I know one does need to come back.
Shao Kahn : This guy has been like overlord for some time, but hasnt been playing much of a role lately. Maybe a unlockable. And he should have an uprising with Kintaro as they fight against Goros army.
This is more of a Mortal Kombat Movie story line, but i think it will work. Everyone I didnt list, can come back, but these are recomendations. I still think Kintaro vs Goro would be cool though.

Oh, God, no more Shao Kahn, after the Reiko thing I have got really sick of him. However, his outlook ruled. maybe his racial predecessor/successor should take his place. Think about that. he and the Dragon King could contest for power in Outworld, while they are haunted by the One Beings powerful presence. This would bring in two main, opposing sides and of course some minor factions who would have to fight their way for their goals.
I think that the constant war background is killing the MK saga. Bring back the tournament, maybe the elder gods would set up a contest to give some rules to the bloodbath. This would be great.
Am I the only one noticing that there is nothing about the Outworldish populace? Do people even live there?

well honestly, I think the next MK should be like trilogy. Now, here me out, the PS2 and especially the Xbox could handle all the characters and multiple fatalities, etc. if they leave out puzzle combat, chess, and Konquest. There could still be minigames, but if you take those items out you have a lot of room for all the characters, plus some new. I like those things but MK & should be about fighting not the side quests, that's what Shaloin Monks will be about.
Really the only character I would add would be a create-a-fighter, where your greatest options would be choose outfits for them to wear. You could have it where you can select any of the weapons each of the characters have as well as a few others that they don't just to give options, the same could be done for projectile attacks, special moves, and fatalities.
For example, say you create a character that you want to be human, and not have majic. You could select a sword or whatever weapon, and for your projectile, you could select to have a gun like Jax or Stryker, you have avout four or five different guns to select from.
So let's say I create my character as Snake-Eyes, from G.I. Joe fame, His weapon would be a ninja sword, his projectile attacks would be his uzi, another would be throwing stars, a grenade , and perhaps a couple of special punches or kicks. Then choose some kind of fatality that would be possible for him, like shooting the body up then decapitate with the sword.
Just a thought.....

Rain and Reiko are not an in-depth characters. And besides, Ermac has been already remade from trilogy, and there is always a need for new fa-ces, at least half of the character roster minimum! Shao kahn should not be brought back, I think it would definitely kill the storyline. (it would be good that people would die, and not come back, gee, almost everyone who counts has been revived in the series-and even Boon wants it to stop!)
So, I think Reiko (and the Kahn thing) would fall as an idea. Why? becouse he wasnt that original to keep, and MK4 was the biggest failure in the sagas history, thanks to the quickly created mindless characters.
When a Midway representative came to my country, there was a report on one of the few gamer channels, and boy, MK4 got a 4/10 from the fans! The representative confirmed our fears that MK4 has been only a warmup for the new gen. Mortal Kombats(What ever did that mean...) , and they didnt want to recreate classic MKs by having too much of the old charcters back in the game (thats why they degraded Kitana and Noob Saibot as a secret character in MK4).
Im neutral about Rain. But most likely the creators agree with me: too many ninjas already. But what if they would recreate his idea?

Hi! I'm new to this forumsmile
Here's my 2 cents on who stays and goes for the next MK installment.
*WARNING: I may have spoilers, so if you don't want to find out what's in the game, then by all means skip what I've written*
STAY.
- Sub-Zero:
I think Ed Boon and the rest of the MK developers did a great job in transforming Sub-Zero from a mysterious, no-alliance figure into a righteous and powerful hero. Looking back at MK1 and 2, I would never have guessed that Sub-Zero would become such an important part of the game/Earth-realm. Plus, I believe he's a great replacement as the Liu-Kang-type of saviour. His story is getting interesting too. Having Noob Saibot's true identity revealed, it'd be awesome to see Sub-Zero having another purpose, besides fighting for the Earth realm, to deal with - confront his brother and probably try to save him and Smoke from eternal damnation. The storyline possibilities are endless. I'd change a few things though - he should bring back his "Ice Spike" fatality from MK Trilogy (that Classic Sub-Zero used). Plus, his MK Trilogy look is really, really cool. Bring that image back!
- Scorpion:
I used to hate Scorpion, even though his moves were really cool, but his background story has made him a really interesting part of the game. The only thing I don't like about this character is how the MK developers continually burden him with a tragic ending. Even when I use Scorpion to beat the whole game, the usual scenario would be "the world is saved thanks to Scorpion, but the ninja is sent straight back to hell to wander aimlessly". Not really a fitting scenario for a hero, don't you think? Anyway, if Scorpion does come back, I'd like him to stick with his ending from Deception: i.e. Scorpion was the unlikely hero by killing the Dragon King and therefore is given a new purpose in life - serving as a warrioir/guardian for the Elder Gods and the Earth Realm. He's been through enough tragic scenarios, so I think it would be time to cut him some slack. Maybe give him a more human face as well (when he's unmaked). That would really be interesting!
- Ermac:
Like most other's have already mentioned, I'm really, really impressed with how Ermac made a great comeback to the game. Besides keeping his awesome telekinetic moves, his storyline fits in well and the developers have done a great job transforming him into one of the unlikely good guys. It's a great change to see an unlikely figure doing something noble for once. I think he fits in well as the calm-yet-wise type of character - after all, his ending suggested that he was the first to sense a strong force that even the Dragon King was unaware of.
- Jade:
I've always liked Jade, mainly because in MK Trilogy, she had such a long list of moves. Plus, she had that "invulnerability" move that was really useful and coolgrin I like how she's a good friend and solid ally for Sindel, Kitana and Edenia. Plus, her rivalry against Tanya and Mileena promises a lot of interesting developments.
- Sindel:
Her banshee scream and floating-in-the-air brings great variation in the game. I didn't like her costume though - it's a bit similar to MK 3/Trilogy, plus it doesn't seem very fitting for a queen is it?
- Mileena:
The original bitch-from-hell. She's an awesome fighter and excellent as Kitana and Jade's opposite - Mileena is Kitana's evil "twin" while Jade is the "good" version of Kitana's clone (whereas Mileena is the "evil" one). I think her rivalry against Kitana and Jade should be one of the main focus of the next installment.
- Tanya:
Only because she is a traitor, and a very fitting one as well - her father was an Edenian official and because of that, Tanya's important position makes her the perfect traitor.
- Raiden:
Ah, so now the all-round good guy has finally cracked under the pressure (i.e. weakness of mankind) and has decided to take more extreme measures. Contrary to what everyone else suggested, I don't think he's become completely "evil" - maybe a "tyrant", but at least he wouldn't want to see the end of the Earth Realm. Maybe make him a 'rebel' deity. It'd fit well, since in almost every game, his request for the Elder deities to take action are often ignored. He'll form his own rule over Earth and try to have things operated in his own manner. Didn't his ending say that he now wants Earth's future to be decided by mortals fighting for it rather than from their own will?
- Havik:
He's sly, cunning and devious. Definitely one of the more interesting vermons of the game. His ending suggested that he'd revive Shao Kahn, and even though I've had enough of Kahn, I wouldn't mind seeing him return for one more installment because I'd prefer it if an Edenian, like Kitana or Rain (both of them have excellent motive for personally killing him) ended his life, instead of him dying from his own "allies". A really cool twist to Havik's storyline would be that he's an unmakes shadow priest!
- Noob Saibot:
Definitely a must-return. His true identity is the most interesting twist. Plus, Sub-Zero Mythologies already suggested he was a 'good' warrior to begin with. Even though he's "completely evil", I just think that the script writers at Midway can develop the plot to a point that Noob Saibot could be another Ermac success-story: i.e. his family-bond towards Sub-Zero, plus his past good deeds, could ultimately override his newfound evil-side and haul him into the good campsmile
- Smoke:
Like Scorpion, I think he's had enough tragedies and burdens in his storyline. It's about time that he's able to go his own way and help his friend, Sub-Zero, fight alongside the Earth Realm without being manipultated onto the evil side or be set back by another tragic ending. I've played every MK fighting game (I still haven't got to the RPG ones yet) and to be honest, I'm getting sick of all the 'bad' consequences some warriors get from fighting to save the Earth Realm. Sure, I understand that there should be variety and plot twists to keep fans interested, but it comes to a point where many people will think "why should I use this character if he/she is going to end up dead or forever damned anyway?". Plus, I missed his robot harpoon and teleport. A new move for him might be to have Jade's invulnerability - i.e. if someone throws a punch, kick, weapon or other special move at him, he can emerge unscathed by having the special move go through him when he's got smoke covering his body.
- Nightwolf:
I understand why people think he's the odd-one-out of the MK saga. I personally think the reason for this is because the whole "shaman magic" is too different from the supernatural stuff that other characters are involved in. But I reckon it's a winner for MK. Firstly, Nightwolf has an interesting background - having ancestors who were powerful beings themselves - and because of that, he'll contribute a lot to both the storyline and the Earth Real defenders as well. Maybe he could become a more 'mysterious' character so that his storyline won't clash with the others too much.
- Kenshi:
I actually like him, but his ending in Deception sucked. I admit, I do like 'good' endings a lot and I can be biased, but honestly, what are the chances of him killing Sub-Zero by mistake (especially since Sub-Zero was the one who rescued him from a near-death experience)? His ending plot was too far-fetched. Anyway, he's a great addition to Sonya and Jax's Outworld Investigation Team and these days, it seems as if the evil Mortal Kombat characters are outnumbering the good ones.
- Kira:
Awesome character. Even though Deception made her out to be a cold-blooded murder, I think her past has a lot of potential to become interesting and unique. She's a woman who had worked in a man's world, so there's some incentive for her to become bitter and angry. Plus, I don't think she's entirely evil - maybe misguided - so there's also a good chance she may fight for the greater good rather than just slaughtering people to gain power.
- Baraka:
Like Mileena, I think Baraka would be the perfect "eternally evil" and "annoying pest" character. Although his bio states that he'd fight for any master and any purpose, he's clearly evil-orientated and a solid opponent to the Earth Realm warriors.
- Liu Kang:
Even though he's a long-running character, he's probably one of the symbols that defines what MK is (just as Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Raiden are). It's hard to imagine him completely gone from the game, after all his 'fire-element' focused powers can bring variety to the series. If he does come back, I'd prefer seeing him as either a wise and dedicated warrior who's taken the place of the now-turned-insane Raiden as the powerful guardian of the Earth Realm, or as a secret, need-a-code-to-unlock character.
- Ashrah:
I've got mixed feelings about her. I do like her, since she has an interesting storyline plus her voodoo fatality is awesome, but her ending is perfect the way it is - completely finished and does not allow much space for any extensions. If she does return, then she needs a new storyline. In Deception, she's already achieved her purpose of cleansing out her evil-ness and becoming purified, so any attempts to turn that into a plot-twist would be too far-fetched. Maybe she's working alongside an Elder deity and given a new purpose: to defend the Earth Realm.
NEEDS TO GO.
- Li Mei:
I didn't like her in Deadly Alliance and unfortunately, my opinions didn't change in Deception. Her entry into the series seems more like an off-hand effort - the typical 'rebel' who's responsible for ensuring the freedom of her people (Deadly Alliance), only to turn her back on them and sleep with the enemy (Deception). The storyline is unoriginal and not necessarily interesting as well. I wouldn't be sorry if she was given the boot.
- Bo' Rai Cho:
I don't mind him, except he seems out-of-place in the series. He looks too...frumpy, un-warrior like. He almost seems like a comic relief. I mean, his appearence doesn't seem threatening (to his opponents) and he looks more like a drunk, overweight character that seems to pop up in other fighting games such as King of Fighers and Street Fighter. I guess I do like him, but he just doesn't fit well as a playable character. He should stay in the storyline though - he's got too strong of a connection to Liu Kang and Kung Lao.
- Dairou:
Uninteresting background and the "misperceiving an enemy" has already been done between Scorpion and Sub-Zero.
- Darrius:
Same as Dairou, although he could be the next Kano...just not as much of a coward and a bastard.
- Hotaru:
Same as Dairou: bland and uninteresting. He needs to go..
- Kobra:
Like another poster said, he seems like an evil-clone of Johnny Cage. However, he looks like a rebel: he's a barbarian, but he has the potential to rebel against the Black Dragon if he's had enough of their murderous ways. Either way, I guess I wouldn't mind what happens to him, though if he were to return, I hope his storyline will get a little more unique and interesting.
- Shujinko:
The most uninteresting and unoriginal character of the Mortal Kombat series. It's almost as if he's been copied straight off an old martial artist from Chinese drama that's set in an ancient dynasty.
CHARACTERS THAT SHOULD COME BACK:
- Rain:
His storyline is too interesting to be left untouched. Rain was the son of an Edenian general, so he has a 'good' background. I didn't like the ambiguous ending he had for MK Trilogy, so I only hope that was done to allow for an Ermac-like comback into the game. Naturally, it would only work if he sides with Kitana and Sindel: the only reason why he was on Shao Kahn's side was because he either feared for his life (since he's still an Outworld resident) and he wasn't aware how his father had really died. Pairing him with another 'evil' source would be ridiculous.
- Kitana:
In MK Gold, I felt she was the weakest out of all the characters, since she had limited combos and inflicted the lowest percentage of damage. Now, the plot thickens as she is probably under mind control. I think it would be interesting if she was under the influence of the new-evil-boss in the next game, and one of the main plots would be for Jade, Sindel, Liu Kang and probably Rain to save her.
- Sheeva:
A good plot for her comeback would be that she's trying to do what Goro did: atone for her race's past sins (working for Shao Kahn) by fighting against the new evil.
- Cyrax:
His web move was awesome. Plus, he had the best combos in MK Trilogy. I'd like to see him continue to be allied with Sonya, Jax and Kenshi - i.e. he'd be one of the main characters of the Outworld Investigation Team that's working for the U.S. government.
- Sonya:
Because I'd don't think the Outworld Investigation Team should disintegrate into oblivion.
- Jax:
Same reason as Sonya.
- Johnny Cage:
Only because he's one of the original good-guys.

Oh fuck, You talked me into it. Rain should come back! Again restating my opinion on who to come back, and who to leave out:
IN, AND MUST DEFINITELY STAY IN THE SERIES:
Sub-Zero: yes, the new champion of earthrealm alongside with the new generation of MK warriors (Kenshi, Li Mei). Boon would risk his midway if he leaves the Lin Kuei out of the newest sequel. However, our Sub-Zero is becoming older and older, perhaps a newer will replace him in time (this is almost the same thing they tried to pull with Frost, altough they left her to freeze up-I think she needs to ccome back, since there is no proof that she realy died, even Sub-Zero could mistake her for dead, and hell, she has been buried in a cryomancers sarcophagus, maybe it could slowly restore the damage thats been done to her body)
Scorpion: I totally agree with that, however Scorp will never become a good guy. he is just too cynical about his existence and only serves one goal, punishment for the murderer of his family. thank God, they overstepped that line, and left Scorpion to become a weapon for the Elder Gods. Wait and wel see where his fate will lead.
(has anyone noticed that Scorpion from MK1 didnt have a teleport punch? It was a decoy god damnit, I dont wanna see him pop from each side of the screen without proper explanation, and no, dont tell me hes learned teleporting in the Netherrealm)!
Shujinko: definitely keep, but remake him. The move stealing is good, but he has to have at least two spec.moves of his own. Maybe hes encounter with Rayden will bring up something in the future. He is just has to be kept.
(the reason Im woting for him, is that despite his appearance and idea of a character, he has several good posibilities in himself to advance)
Hotaru: dont take his story too lightly. The similarities between the Sub-Scorp and Hotaru-Dairou situation can give a game a slight boost. However, considering their mentality, Hotaru would hunt Sub-Zero further, and Dairou would go after him. Their honor would simply not let them go without an unfinished bussiness. Also, I love his late medieval japanese samurai outfit with his naginata.
Also: Kira, Kabal (give him more power in his design), Ashrah
IN, BUT MAYBE NEEDS TO REST FOR MK7:
Kenshi: awesome, but two battles in a row must have really drained him. Maybe hes got wounded in the battle with Hotaru, and needs to cool of.
Jade, Sindel: despite their appearance and concept (wich I lack to see in Jade) they both need to be left out. Jade wasnt much of a character in the storyline (Kitanas friend and savior) , but if Boon has plans with her, than rest him for a while. She can stay, if Kitana falls off forever.
Sindel is a harder nut, a good character in both story, moves appearance and design. I just dont like her so much, and she doesnt pay a big role in the MK universe (except perhaps for MKD)
Also: Mileena, Bo Rai Cho,
KILL THEM OFF:
Kobra: hes dead, this is the additional boost for Kiras story, he should remain dead (and doesnt come back either as like others in the good old fashioned MK brings back decapitated/burned/crippled combatants for a new challenge)
Baraka: Boon confirmed that someone from the classic charcters will be killed off permanently. Best chances is that it is Baraka.
Tanya: the most unoriginal haracter in the Mk series! Not much of a storyline always working for someone, (altough the mercenary, or work for her life concept sucks for her), no dynamics in her moves and her hara kiri is idiotic along with her fatalities.
Sheeva: may I point out that Boon left her dead for a reason? She was a much disliked character, even when I loved playing with her.

Well do the team really listen to the fans?
If they do I am sure
Bo Rai Cho
Dairou
Darrius
will be absent from MK7
whilst
Havik
Kira
are just about certainties.
Out of the new characters from MKD I'd like to see Hotaru and Dairou come back.
Bring back Sektor, Fujin, and classic Reptile. IMO!

I agree, Hotaru and Dairou have a score to settle, while Kira and Havik both rock and have important storylines. I would also prefer Shujinko, but only if they redesign him more precisely. However kill that goddamn Tanya already, sheesh!

Opinions still seem divided on Tanya which is better than where she stood before Deception.
I think she made the best comeback to the series of all. Everything about her rocks now.

The problem from my opinion is not with how many caracters they would keep but how many the game will have. (as many as it can )
32---->>>>>> 100 caracters ( afffcourse 100 is total fiction )
I WANT MORTAL KOMBAT DECEPTION ON PC
( COME ON BACK ME UP ON THAT )

Simply emulate MKD on Pc. I heard MKDA has already been hacked for computers.
Anyway, Bo Rai Cho would be rested (Shujinko for the other hand would come in nicely for him-with radical changes I hope). Tanya-she gets killed. She became a better defined character in MKD (unlike in MK4) but we have seen the last of her. Unless MK continues with the idiocy of constant resu-rections.
Bring back cyrax alongside with Sonya, they have Mavado left (Kabal cant have mavado for himself, since, Sonyas greatest enemy is Mavado, as we may know from the face-your-greatest-foe idea of Shang Tsungs island portal) Ah, yes, bring Shang and Quan back, they would kill everyone!

Ashrah : I didnt' like her much, but for story rivalry sakes, she should stay to fight Noob.
Baraka : He's awesome. He should stay, but stay out the MK8.
Bo Rai Cho : Third stupidest character ever. Out.
Dairou : Second stupidest character ever. Out.
Darrius : Eh.. he's alright. I'm not usually fond of new characters. But he should sit out.
Ermac : He should become a staple. He's awesome.
Kabal : He's alright.. but shouldn't return. Kira should kill him, or he should become good and kill her.
Kobra : First stupidest character. Out. Obviously he's there to replace Johnny Cage, but is also obviously a Ken(Street Fighter) ripoff..
Mileena : She's the best female character in the game. She sticks.
Nightwolf : Stays. He's dope too. Just lose the dumbass alt. costume. Mohawk isn't Nightwolf. Long hair is.
Scorpion : ...Duh. Hopefully with two very different costumes. He should never leave. The Spear is one of MK's three staple universally known moves(along with freeze and bycicle kick).
Sub Zero : He stays. But give him a masked costume similar to MK: DA. That was the best he's ever looked masked. Then for an alt, do something cool like they did with Scorpion and give him his oldschool costume back with a new 3-D look.
Havik : I like Havik. He's one of the new characters that are decent. He stays.
Hotaru : NO! I hate Hotaru. Lame character.
Jade : Too similar to K and M. M stays, K and J are out.
Kenshi : He should be in the story, but not in the roster.
Kira : I kinda like her too. Reminds me of that chick off that one game.. Bloodrayne or somethin. But she's tight.
Li Mei : Eh.. she's alright.. but no.
Liu Kang : ONLY if he keeps his zombie lookin costume. If not, out. I hate Kang, but his zombie outfit is AWESOME.
Noob Smoke : If they're together, out. If they're seperate, definately in. I hope they give Smoke his ninja costume again. They better. I don't like bots, but I love ninjas.
Raiden : Regardless of my opinion, he stays. I never used to like him, similar to Kang, but since he went evil, he's awesome.
Shujinko : If he's young, not on the first roster, and has all his old moves, then he should stay.
Sindel : Out. She's gettin too old lookin to fit in the MK roster.. like Bo Rai Cho.
Tanya : Out. I never did like Tanya.
Should return in MK7:
Reptile: Re-Evolving back to his ninja form. I HATE his stupid lizard-look. The MK4 one was alright, only if his alt. was his ninja costume. The second Reptile started devolving, I stopped liking him.
Rain: Definately.
Noob: Yep.
Smoke: Yep.
Shao Kahn: He should come back for vengeance, but only if he's playable. He's one of the only bosses that could never be playable without cheats, and that sucks. Plus, he'd be cool to play as. Not as a boss, as a character, fighting the bosses who should be....
Quan Chi and Shang Tsung: (not the same character though)Return to fight, but as the bosses. This time, Shang Tsung can transform only into characters NOT in this game, such as Jax, Sonya, Cage, Nitara, Reiko, etc. That would make him an ultimate player. But they should have a dope sub-boss not seen in awhile, such as...
Kintaro: He needs to be in a game, and he's pretty cool. If he's there, it'll be a definate fan pleaser.
That's about it. Obv. I love ninjas.
