I wouldn't try comparing something as bad as MK4 to MKD.

What, i think MK4 was the best MK game i have played

...I hope you're kidding. Most people say MK2 was the highlight of the series, and MK4 was the lowpoint. That's mostly true, in a lot of aspects.

MK: Gold (4) owns you and me both. Don't compare it with new shit.

Well, a lot of it has to do with the darker atmosphere of the game. But it also has the arcane feel that MK2 shared, with the hooded priests, stone towers, Living trees, and what not.

MK4 was more of a realistic approach like MK3, but without all the metropolitan crap. The stages were centered more around combat dojos, temples, ect. But because it was mostly refined from the previous games, I can't really say MK4 had it's own unique atmosphere whatsoever.

I mentioned this ealier and ppl booed me out the building lol. But I have to agree to compare MKD to MK4 is as low as anyone can stoop. Now I enjoy playing MK4 to cause I play any MK game u know. But id have to say its closer to Mk2 than it is MK4. Proof the WebSite has thunder like the sub page on MK2 and it has most MK2 levels. Im sure Ed Boon sees that MK2 was the fan favorite hell i still have it on Sega 32X anyway he realizes its popularity so what i think he does is take all the cool aspects from Mk2 and uses them In MKD and takes some other stuff throw it in the blender and walla we got a kick ass game with kick ass stuff in it and i cant wait for it to come out hell i already pre ordered it HOLLAAA!!

do not compare mk d to mk 4 cuse i t will make me what moves of scorpion and sub-zero r from mk4? scorpions teleport is from mk 1-2-3-4 his fire from the ground is from mkda..only move from mk4 for scorpion is his take of the mask and blow fire,where do u c that? show me a picture... sub-zeros's ice clone is from mk3,again what move from mk4 did subby oringinally have from mk4? i know its ur opinion,but i dont agree it looks and fells nothing like mk4,from what I C..man i am praying...

Comparing MKD to MK4 makes me sick

Dunno about you, but my favorite is MK:DA. MK4 was somewhat a disappointmnet. And the rest are just classics.

For me, MK4 is at the top of the list of things I want to completely erase from my memory.

Crappy looking and shaky(characters look like they're having seizures during win poses), rehashed animations, terrible looking endings, character models that moved and looked like robots, and probably the worst roster in MK history.

MK 2 = Best MK ever.

I disagree with MK: Deception being like MK2 and MK4. To me both MK4 and MK2 were good games, but to me isn't near as complex as MK: DA. To me MK: Deception is shaping up to be a more kickass version of MK: DA

mk deception is compared to mk2 because of the same feel and atmosphere to it, not because of that some people have the same moves.
And mk4 good??? damn, are you in denial??? everyone knows that was about the worst game of the series. Their attempt from 2d to 3d failed miserably. I enjoyed it still, but it was the worst of all the mk's out there. So I was very glad with mk:da and their new approach on 3d. They had learned their lesson, and now with deception, they're just expanding that good thing some more

mk1= awesome
mk2= even better
mk3/umk3/mkt= to cartooney but still really good
mk4/mkgold= disapointment
mkda/mkte= unbelievable
mkd= the best yet

You get one thing straight dude, not everyone thinks the samething you do. I like MK4, if you have a problem with it I am afraid you are the one that is in denial. You speak as though you know it all. I just stated my opinion.

Sorry to crash the party, but we cant say nothing until it actually comes out dudes! BUT if yall are judging by how it looks now in the mid-done section well, uhhhhh.......it lookis like a MK2 to me dude! MK4 is a failure! But dont get mad if you disagree, Its just my Opinion. Cuz MK2 was the best game ever and MKD is looking like a new Champ, to me MK4 was the laughing Stock of all the serioes! But just my Opinion!

Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance has the most game to it, and is thus the best game of the 5; however in the context of what games were around when each MK was released, MK2 is the best. It was the one time when MK was the best series around for reasons other than Pageantry.

and I mine. I'm giving my opinion and my opinion is that most people who like that mortal kombat is just because it was the first mk to come out in 3d. I liked that to, but gameplay wise and character wise, it wasn't that good

MK4 was a disaster IMO and MKD has nothing to do with MK4. Im surprised how 70% of the people who responded think MKD is more like MK2 but have not responded to my thread listing several things that make MKD and MK2 similar.

I think i read your thread. I remember it because I thought it was a very good one. Some very strong points were in there and a good observation. I liked that thread more than this one.

MK2 was good. I played it like physco. We even had a thick ass book on how to do the hook fatals in the acid pool but I dont think that was real.
Anyway MK4 was a good game too. I liked the fatals and the game was fast paced for me anyway.
I think that MKD is a gravy game. Its not like MKII and not like MKIV. Why? Cuz those are totally different games., Yes it had elements of those in it but MKD to me blows them outta the watter. Except for MKII. Its kinda still on the surface.

mk3= second best
