Here we go with this MK2 crap again.

With the possible exception of Quan Chi, I don't see any post-MK2 characters making it in, since they're pushing for name value.

I could say the same about the first three.
MK2 had 5 palette swaps, and among those who were not, we had like 3 really significant iconic characters. MK3 sucked donkey ass to me. Forgetable trash like the cybrogs, a spandex indian and the Doughnut-Annihilator cop did not do it for me. Mr. StarWars tribute kabal was somewhat decent but easily discardable.

I disagree with all of you.

Majority of characters will be from MK1-2 anyway but there might be a few from 3-Armageddon. Cyrax I have a feeling will be included from the MK3 roster. MK4, like you said, Quan Chi has a good shot to make it in.

The thing is about the MK:DA-Armageddon characters is that they are nowhere near memorable/iconic but I think they might try and include one character from the recent games. If that's the case expect to see either Bo Rai Cho (yeah, I know) or Kenshi.

There's never been a Mortal Kombat game that didn't introduce at least 1 good character, even if most of the newbies were uninspired.

Kabal (yes, I know that's it, but he's good enough to return)

Mk4:
Undeniably Quan Chi. Fujin.

MkDA:
Kenshi, Drahmin, and controversially... Bo Rai Cho.

Hotaru, Havik.

I'll take Sindel, Sektor, Cyrax, Kabal, Ermac, Rain, Fujin, Sareena, Quan Chi, Tanya, Reiko, Kenshi, Li Mei, Frost, Mavado, Nitara, Drahmin, Ashrah, Havik, Hotaru, Dairou, Kira, and Onaga over Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, Kano, Goro, Shang Tsung, Jax, and Baraka any day.

Yeah, they might bring Bo' Rai Cho back. I know a lot of fans don't like him because he's just too nasty, but I think Midway does. He was one of the few brought back from DA to Deception, and they always put him in the mini games.

Yeah, but you just know that won't happen. Just like Fatalities. I don't think DC wants the "Man of Steel" taking one right in the nuts and bolt.

I don't know what's going on here. MK3 was fucking awesome and easily the best of the 2D era.

You people are crazy. MK3 was balls. It was where everything wrong with MK began: dial a combos, cartoony character designs, Stryker...

I lol'ed at this entire conversation. You guys maker it seem they actually care enough to come on here and actually read about who YOU don't want in the game when I'm pretty sure the roster was all but decided the moment that teaser trailer was made.

Anyway, I have to say I greatly disagree with the initial post. I think there have been some excellent characters made since MK3...maybe not in MK4 but beyond that game, yeah. A lot of characters there have places to go and things to do but probably will never get the chance.
