Secondly, Cage hasn't died as much as you think. Raiden comes back because unlike the other gods, he cares for Earth and as for Cyrax, well, he could be better.

I'd like Jade, Fujin and Tanya back. Also, I'd like to see Sektor and Smoke.

All the characters need a a big story change. Something good and interesting has to happen to them.

Scorpion and Noob Saibot are the characetrs who should never ever return to the game. And yes I know they have both been confirmed. A bad move in my opinion.
I also think time is up for Johnny Cage, Rayden, Sonya, Jax, The Cyborgs and also Frost. She was the most overrated character in MK:DA.

Quan Chi! What a stupid ass character. Shang Tsung is getting played to, epsically without morphing. Cyrax needs to sit this one out for sure.

I think weve seen too much of "SCORPION" and also of "SUB-ZERO".

as for the game, there are alot of things yes that needs to be done to the storylines, as of making the storylines all going the same way, not just contradicting the storline, there is only one winner of them all, true???? thats the way i saw it, liu kang won mk's 1-4 right? but it said in almost everyone of them that, that individual won.

costumes are great, can't do any better than that

new characters like frost, they were glorified from day one in these threads, as bad a**, frost was nothing but a mk1 sub-zero compared to others. kai from mk4 was just a no body but had tons of more moves than others which made him and awesome character, mortal kombat needs more moves to the characters in order for more interesting combos, special attacks i.e ripping body limbs from the opponent, not necessarily fatalities, but like the jabbing move in the weapons on mk:da, life pullers, that basic concept. if they want us to have blood give us blood!!!!

suicide moves are the most awesome addition to the game i have ever heard, along with the new background fatalities. this game in itself is awesome already.

but the returning characters like sindel hold no reason to be back in the game. ermac for instance great fighter, needs to be in game. sindel is retorical, her daughter is kitana, where is she at? milenna, a evil twins revenge? i can see where baraka is going, he is a leader. but we need to see monks fighting, like in the court yard background of mk1. the ones with the masks holding spears. blaze was, and i think is a great character. he needs to return.

Sonya - You can keep her around but damn, spice up her story, dont make it so bland.

Scorpion - Same thing as Sonya, he REALLY needs the story overhaul though.

Liu Kang - Thank god he's DEAD! Finally Kung Lao can shine.

I think sub zero needs to play a bigger part in the game. Hardly anything happens to him in MK Da

Sonya:same weak storyline

Kano: weak storyline, has never advanced. Same ol' henchman.

Shang Tsung: No real power in any mortal kombat. Hes not even a real boss or sub boss.

Jax: all he does is follow sonya, same weak storyline.

Raiden: When is he going to take control? He's a dominant force but when is going to become dominate?

Johnny Cage has only died once hasn't he?
I am a big fan of Cage, but his storyline is pretty shitty. I'm over the whole movie actor crap. Bringing Mokap into MKDA was just terrible as well!

Atleast 1 of the main Special Forces characters (Jax/Sonya) should be killed off. Or possibly even both and then Kenshi becomes the boss of SF.

If Cyrax does miss a game or 2, he should definately come back in the future, but not as a SF character.

I like the Kano story and think that he should stay. And probably be the one that has killed Jax/Sonya.

MK always needs a Subzero & Scorpion. There stories are changing for the better as well...

Frost should come back but with a different story, and she needs to form an alliance of some sort with Sektor.

Sonya, Jax, Johnny Cage, Kano, Shang Tsung, but they should keep Scorpion but make his story spicier. He needs to stop coming back for revenge.

I agree that Sonya, Raiden, Scorpion, Cage and Kitana have weak stories.

Cage needs to stop making films and dying. He is the joke of thes eries really and I think they just include him as an entertainer or something. He drastically needs a storyline improvement.

Raiden is the protector of Earth, although Fujin was supposed to be doing that. Raiden needs to come out of the godly shell a little and abuse his power a little. He needs a complete story change too. He needs more to do.

Kitana needs to stop killing her damned sister and running around mourning peeps deaths. She needs a new storyline that sees her going ona new adventure. Maybe an image change could work for her.

Sonya is a tough girl with power. Yet all we see her do is run around worrying about others and not really taking care of business. Her storyline just sees her getting propmoted, but what for? Have her do something!!

As for Scorpion, the revenge thing has gotten really old. If they take that storyline away from him, he is left with no purpose to be in the game. His story being played out so long is just an excuse to keep him in there. Change the story and make it interesting!

first of all i think alot of characters should be killed off and have there stories all go the same way! but dont kill them off just because there story is crap! mk is not really about the story its how they play!

I disagree with your statment. You cannont forget about your early characters in the name of preservation of the series, when doing so would alienate much of the fan base, and also leave the story in peices. Perhaps this could be possible in a prequel, however many fans want to find more aobut their favorite characters, and how the characters interact outside the games already laied down. I think it's healthy and bold to Kill off, or downplay lead characters from time to time. Killing Lui Kang was Bold, and probbly necessary, however having every single character in mk1-mk2 dead would leave voids, more so due to the epmhesis placed on Sub-Zero, Raiden, and Kung Lao, in MK:DA.

I agree these characters needs to be refreshed, but not destroyed alltogether.

Raiden in MK:DA, was not the protector of earth, he went into outworld to pursue the Deadly Alliance, my theory is that we did not see Fujin because Fujin had to stay behind on earth to guard earth and could not cross the demensional plays. I do agree Raiden needs more of a hands on purpose if he is going to gain more limelight. As far as a little abuse of his powers, I think you may see that in this game if he still is around. MK:DA ending "One thing is certain, Earth Realm must be protected" sounds like he's just a little pissed to me.

Johnny Cage is the epitome of being "played out". He is like Dan from Steet Fighter but Dan actually was funny and fun to have, this guy is fucking ridiculous. He should've stayed dead.

Jax & Sonya are a little played out too, along with Kano. They've spent the last 12 years trying to apprehend the criminal Kano and his bitches from the Black Dragon. When are they gonna get married?! THEY OBVIOUSLY LIKE EACH OTHER!!! They should get married and settle down, quit the fighting game businness and return when Shao Kahn kills Jax and Sonya promises to pwn Kahn in the name of love.

Those are the only characters that I honestly think should fuck off for a game or two. The rest still have storyline potential and are very well-liked.

Shang Tsung and Rayden are honorable mentions but I think they can tag along for a while more than the other 4 I mentioned above.

Johnny Cage: Enough is enough. Stay dead already!

Sonya: She's overstayed her welcome.

Shao Khan: One of the ugliest looking morons I have ever seen in a game. With luck, he's staying dead.


That's it for me. And to the person who said Scorpion has overstayed his welcome, and said it was a bad move to put him in again, it wasn't. The one game he, and Raiden weren't in (MK3) sucked ass, so Midway is trying not to make the same mistake.

Scorpion's story isn't very interesting. I can't deny he was a good character, but now I think it's time to move on.

3. Kabal
His story was very uninteresting. A former thug gone vigialante? It's been done.

4. Quan Chi
He's played his part in the story.

BTW Johnny Cage isn't dead, I don't think. He was killed, then he returned to Earthrealm, before finally entering death, then he was resurrected by Raiden. He is as alive as Sonya right now.
